My backyard had reforested and the roof of the porch had caved in, code enforcement came by and i was cited . Ted cleared out my backyard and tore down and removed the screened in porchin time for the officer to come back and clear my record. He also gave me time to pay him.

I was specifically looking for someone to provide full service lawn care (including fertilization, etc.) and also update my landscaping. Leonard (aka Ted) Menard is able to do it all. His lawn care crew have done a great job thus far. He also proposed a very reasonable landscape update plan, which is almost completed. Not only is he extremely conscientious and hard working, he actually did most of the landscape work himself! He also adjusted and relocated some irrigation heads to ensure everything gets full coverage, and has even offered to upgrade my landscape lighting. He's been a "one-stop shopping" solution for all our lawn/landscape needs!

He made an appointment to come but he didn't show. He came when I called him after a few days. And he said he's charging $350.00 a month.

Wonderful - Did a great job in cutting the yard and trimming the fence line. Now I have them on regular maintenance.

08-07-2017 - May I state right up front: Menard's Lawn and Landscape is a rare company in today's society. I attempted to get someone last year from Angie's List and another web site that offers many services. Absolutely no luck. I could not believe the un-professionalism, lack of interest, no shows, no calls returned, rudeness, disrespect, etc. One actually canceled me out because I had asked for a copy of their insurance, and the products they were using, since I am an environmentally friendly person. Another told me he would be there the next morning to do the work, but never showed up. I finally found a family member who did the work for me. He has since moved so I was back at the mercy of the local businesses in this field again this year. I repeatedly encountered the same scenario as last year. I scheduled one that had high ratings, but I could not believe his work. He put sod down over old mulch, weeds, rocks and the sod does not match up with the rest of the yard, it is much higher leaving an uneven yard. Put mulch over the weeds, did not pull them and on and on - did not finish the agreed upon list. I was quite ill at that time, and unable to go out to check it until the next day. To say I have been disillusioned is an understatement. 1. Then I called Ted Menard, and I had a glimmer of hope. He arrived on time to give me an estimate, which was reasonable. He and his associate, Luis, arrived to do the work, as promised, on time, and worked from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. I can't believe all that they did - weeding, planting, mulching, bagging leaves, & just cleaning up. They made it look like a new yard. II asked for a couple of additional things to be done and Ted took care of them immediately. Just very eager to please. Just very professional. Just very hard workers. Just plain good people. I have only found one other company that I feel so strongly about as I do Menard's at this point. If anyone needs any driveway work done, they should look at Premier Paver Restoration in New Port Richey. I use this name because I had thought for the past two years that Premier Paver could not be beat when it comes to customer service, as they are above excellent. But, Menard's is in the game now and close to the level of Premier. Sorry, but Premier does not need to worry, they are like family. I don’t plan to see anyone supersede Premier Paver Restoration. They still call to check on me occasionally. Truly, an above and beyond company applies to Premier.. I highly recommend Menard's. I am beyond impressed with this business, and I have already scheduled more projects with this fantastic company. I called Ted and spoke to him on the phone. He told me to text him my address and he will be in touch with me Monday, 11/14/16 to let me know when he can come to my house to assess my yard. I spoke to him on 11/11/16. Never heard from him again. I believe the proper way to do business is to let your client know if you are not able to come or if you are not able to do the job at all. Very unprofessional. But I will continue looking.... Hopefully there are still some honest people out there. Very disappointing.

Ted Menard handled the job in an outstanding manner. He was prompt in his communication and more importantly flexible in his scheduling when I need the work done faster than I believe he would have normally scheduled due to his prior commitments. The yard was clean, the trees trimmed, plants trimmed, bamboo treated/gone, and everything removed. Outstanding job.

He and his team did an AWESOME job. Very nice guy, prompt and delivered what we asked for. He works along side his crew. A few months after he completed the job, we had to get our home tented which resulted in killing some of the landscaping. I called him to let him know that we would like him back to fix the damage that was done from the tenting but it would be a while as we were having our front porch torn up. He was proactive and came by the house to check (with the contractor) to see when the work on our front porch would be complete, so he could get started right away. Although I was not expecting him, I am glad he was proactive and got started. He replaced our damaged plants and re-mulched in a day. We will be using him again in the future, when neededand will recommend him to anyone and everyone.

They were pretty good. We actually used them several times so we trust them. We just leave the key to them and they will clean up everything. Everything went very smooth.

Mr. Menard has been very professional in his dealings with me, is easy to communicate with, and seems to run a tight ship. My yard is heavily landscaped with tropicals and has almost no lawn area, which means that each visit is typically a list of projects vs. a routine "mow, blow, & go" situation. Mr. Menard's willingness to be flexible and work with me on a visit schedule that is tailored to my situation is the reason I will continue to use his company.

We are very unhappy with the work he did for us. He really just did a bad job. He planted nine plants in the backyard and we told him it was sun all day long, so it had to be plants that can take the sun from dawn to sunset. And he put plants in that started dying almost immediately and were dead within a few weeks. We called him and asked him to come by and he did come by and looked at them and laughed, and he would never answer any of our phone calls. So he wouldn't replace the plants that died. Also in the front he planted a tree in a shady area and the tree needed sun. The tree died also. So ten plants in total died and he did nothing. He also overcharged us. We had another company come in and plant for about the same price, and they planted what seemed like ten times as much. He planted tiny little baby plants and it was very sparse and unattractive, and it was very expensive. I don't like anything he did.

Superb professionalism. Every aspect of working with Ted Menard and his crew was superb compared to previous landscapers. They do what they say. They troubleshoot problems without prompting. Spectacular results for price paid.

Menard's starting weekly lawn service in September for both my own residence and two investment properties. The service is outstanding. They show up on schedule and do a beautiful job. I even received a compliment from one of my tenants after I switched to Menard's. I highly recommend this company.

No one showed up or called to reschedule. Not very professional.

We've been very happy with the weekly lawn service from Menard's. They come by on the same day every week and take care of little extras when asked. I highly recommend this company for lawn service.

Warning: Do not use Menard's Yard & Landscaping. I hired Ted Menard to come cut our front yard. Score of an A- in trying to reach Mr. Menard. A- because he stated in his email he would contact me in the morning but I ended up having to call him the next day. He came to our house on Wednesday, as stated, and cut our front yard. He checked out our backyard, which was not something we had discussed, and cut the backyard as well. I was happy he was willing to work with us in getting our backyard into shape since it's not something we had discussed. There was a fallen tree branch that was fairly large and I got a quote on removal. I called my husband and got the okay, but when I went to go tell Mr. Menard he had already left. I called him to ask if he was done for the day, he said yes, that he was not prepared to deal with the extra work, and that he did not have the right equipment. I told him that I totally understood since I only had requested for him to cut our front yard. I then told him about some smaller tree branches he left on our front yard, and that we could go ahead and schedule the removal of the fallen tree branch in our backyard. He said he would have to come back for the smaller tree branches and the branch in the backyard, since he didn't have the right truck. I told him that was totally fine since I didn't expect the work to be done right away. Mr. Menard said he would be back later on in the week to take care of it. Friday came and hadn't heard from him so I just assumed he would be by the same time next week. It's now Monday and Mr. Menard shows up at 9:30am, a decent time, but unbeknownst to him we had just enjoyed a long weekend away and my two-year-old and I were sleeping in. I awoke to my dogs barking and saw that it was Mr. Menard. I couldn't open the door right away so decided to call him. This is where Mr. Menard gets an F. I told Mr. Menard that I hadn't expected him to come and that it actually wasn't a good time. I apologized and asked if we could reschedule. He then says it will have to be next week. I wasn't happy with that since I had already waited for him to come and reminded him he had stated he would come last week. Instead of apologizing or trying to work something out, he lies to me, and says he told me he would be by on Monday. I told him he did not say that, that he said he would be by later on in the week and it was now Monday, and that there must have been some kind of miscommunication along the way. He then said that he had to look at his schedule, and I was in the middle of asking him if he could email or call me to let me know what would work, when the line went dead. I called him back, gave him the benefit of the doubt, and apologized that I thought our line had been disconnected. He said no, that he thought we were done with the conversation. I told him I was in the middle of telling him something. He was so rude and sounded like he was smirking while I told him this. I usually don't get upset but it was just the way he handled it that made me upset. I told him, that I'm sure he was aware we were still talking and that we would no longer need his services. I thanked him for the work he had done. If you are looking for someone to maintain your lawn -- do not use Menard's Yard and Landscaping. This isn't about whether or not he can do the work, the other reviews speak for that, but it's about a little thing called Respect. He will probably respond to this review saying the complete opposite or, even yet, apologize for what happened. That's fine, my review speaks for itself.

I contacted Ted when I was in a real pickle after my last lawn care company just didn't show up for a month... in the summer... in Tampa. My yard looked like a jungle! He answered right away and asked me to text him my address because he was driving at the time. He called me once he got to a computer and could see that we were in a good service area for him. He came out to give an estimate within a day or two. The cost was considerably more than I had been paying; then again, the guy I had been paying hadn't exactly been doing the job. So I figured I was going to have to pony up a lot more money if I was to expect better service. He told me they would be out every week either Tuesday or Wednesday, and then have been, without fail. It is hard to find rain-free moments in Tampa in July and August, but somehow they have managed to do so every single week. It is usually a 2-4 man crew, and they get the job done quickly and professionally. I have been pleased with the service thus far. Sure I wish it were a little cheaper, but that is my only complaint.

Cuts grass, and cleans yard weekly. Picks up leaves and pays extra attention to trimming/leaf blowing of roof, without asking. If I do need to speak with him, he is very courteous and always lets me know if there is a problem.

I first had them do some landscaping for me and Ted was professional and very responsive to my ideas and knowledgeable about what would work and what would not work. It turned out beautiful. I also hired them to take care of my lawn maintenance and lawn feeding. My lawn looks great.

Perfection- the path had some turns and Ted and his team curved and outlined the path design with such aesthetics, I could not have imagined it turning out so beautiful. Ted was extremely conscientious and seemed to have a drive that is rarely seen. it was my good fortune to find him thanks to Angie's list!

yMy yard has 5 enormous oak trees and in February and March become the giving trees... for stuff you don't want. Needless to say my yard, flowerbeds, roof, pool screen and everything was covered in leaves, pollen and oak droppings. Unfortunately this year my allergies would not allow me to clean it up so I had to out source the help. It was a monumental job but Ted did a phenomenal job. In one day he had it looking fantastic again. He did such a good job I've decided to keep him for my weekly lawn service. He is extremely nice, polite, punctual and just plain does what he says he's going to do.
