I did my homework before selecting Jerry’s Roofing. Given the cost and importance of a project like this, I’m glad I got this one right. I saw they have been in business longer than anyone I found and had an excellent reputation. Even my coworkers and friends had great things to say about them. After checking out my roof, Jerry gave me a very fair quote that included more sheets of plywood than any of my other quotes. That really helped in my situation. Unfortunately, my roof was in worse shape than I realized and a lot of the wood had to be replaced. Fortunately for me, I selected the right company and these guys worked hard and late. Even though my roof damage was extensive, which really should not have been a shock to me considering the age, Jerry’s Roofing took care of us, and at a good price. The crew showed up on time and got started immediately. Very professional guys and obviously very experienced. They took the time to clean up and also explain to me what was going on with the project. Glad to have this repair completed. My new roof looks great! I would recommend Jerry's Roofing without hesitation to anyone. Many thanks!!!

They were very professional and friendly. They got the job done in 2 days. Of course one day they were trying to beat the rain. They did a great job on the roof and cleaning up after themselves and left our property just as it was when they arrived. There's a couple of reviews that said they weren't friendly and the lady in the office was rude. Well I just have to say that is not the truth. I got their recommendations from my brother who had his roof done by him. Would use them again.

hasn't started yet. But after reviewing yesterday, I decided to go with Jerry's after all. I reviewed the differences between the two companies and decided the financial difference is worth it. I'll keep you updated!!

The ONLY reason I didn't hire the company is because I found another one for a little more under budget, which is essential to my circumstances right now. I would HIGHLY recommend checking this company out.

It's now Wednesday and I haven't heard from them.

Jerry's Roofing went $2000 over the contract despite assurances before and during construction that the bid was accurate. That is exactly the amount that they underbid two other contractors. Their bid was for $8680. We received assurances from Jerry's Roofing before signing that we would not need more than $300 worth of extra wood. My wife and I were concerned about this because we have a baby on the way and had to take out an FHA loan to pay for the roof. Their low bid was decisive in us choosing to replace rather than repair our roof. When providing the estimate, Jerry's Roofing did not go into our attic to evaluate the condition of our decking. At the end of construction, they claimed that they had to replace $2474 worth of wood. Had they gone into the attic they would have been able to provide a more accurate estimate but they did not do so. During construction I asked how the work was proceeding and I was told that there were "No disasters." I was told that we might need extra wood but that they would work with us on that. When they completed their work they billed us for more than $2000 over the agreed upon price. They are now demanding $10,604. I asked to see receipts for the wood and they were only able to provide receipts for $712. When you go into the attic that covers 2/3 of the house, it is only possible to see 10 or so boards that have been replaced. They have sent me one picture that shows a handful of boards that were replaced around our chimney. There is no evidence that they replaced as much wood as they claim. Furthermore, they have grossly overshot the estimate after multiple assurances to the contrary and without telling us or providing evidence that they did the work that they claimed. I have tried to negotiate a fair settlement with them but they refuse to even meet me half-way, which I think is more than fair considering the circumstance.

John was very professional, accommodating, and punctual. He constantly responded with kindness even when I was demanding. I have had a leaky roof for years and have had many contractors take a look and make recommendations, some of which I paid for. Because of the uniqueness of the roof (second story of a townhouse), and smallness of it, many contractors did not even want the job. Others recommended sealing in my access door that leads out to the air compressor and dryer vents - so that wasn't really an option. John made a valid assessment of the problem (not the access door but rotted wood underneath old siding (on the second story where my mechanical deck attaches), and no flashing over my access door) which was repaired and problem solved. For the first time in about 10 years, the roof is not leaking and nether is anything else (i.e. the access door). I would certainly recommend Jerry's Roofing to friends and family, and if needed, will also use them again in the future.

The work went great. I was able to communicate well with the job foreman. I had some fascia board to replace and the crew was helpful in me getting that done. I also had to remove my Pool's solar heating panels from the roof and they again helped me to get them down to the ground and back up on a new location. Clean up at the end of the job was impeccable as I only found a couple of nails around the entire perimeter and they were behind the hedges. They worked very hard and was done a half day earlier than scheduled. I have nothing bad to say about the experience and highly recommend this company.

Owner Jerry Hujar came out personally to do the estimate, and was our primary contact throughout the job. The price he quoted was preferable to another estimate I received, and much less than I had expected. We first looked at doing this job two years ago, and given the estimates from other contractors at that time, I thought the job would cost much more than it did. Jerry's estimate also included the installation of gutters, so we received a lot for our money. His crew worked very efficiently and quickly. We especially appreciated that, since the rainy season returned about the time we scheduled the job. Our old roof had been in place since before 1995. Jerry and amp; his crew had the expertise to make repairs where needed, and added some nice touches which improved the flow of water off the house, especially in back, where the roof of the house meets the metal roof of the screened porch. His subcontractor for the gutters also worked quickly and did a nice job. We chose the and quot;Owens Corning TruDefinition Duration, Designer Colorsand quot; shingles, in and quot;Sand Duneand quot;, which gave us a lighter-colored roof that will give us many color options when we repaint the house (soon). He also gave us cream-colored drip edge flashing, and cream-colored gutters and downspouts, which will require less frequent cleaning than whites ones. (We have a lot of oak trees in our neighborhood, and get a lot of pollen, moss and green growth.) In all, Jerry and his crews were very nice and great to work with, and we got a great new roof - and gutters - for a very good price, in a short amount of time. I definitely recommend Jerry's Roofing of Tampa Bay, and would definitely hire them again!

He checked on the leak and went into the attic. He saw the leak was with the pipes not the roof. He also fixed the flashing on the edge

He was professional when he came out but trying to contact him was next to impossible. His responsiveness to phone messages was slow or non-existent. His price was high for what I wanted done. I found another contractor to replace my roof for $4000 less.

Arrived on time, completed job and cleaned up work area. The crew was professional and friendly. Jerry (owner) came by twice when the crew arrived and again later in the day. Comfirmed work was done and the time it should be finished. Jerry also came by a couple of days later to verify that the work was done according to the quote and to inspect the work. The workers were very professional an did not take any breaks until the work was complete. The price was competitive to others we received, but Jerry's quote included additional work (that was needed).

Jerry's came to my rescue again. They've done several repairs on my roof over the past 12 years. This one was needed after I noticed that the fascia was sagging out from the house for a length of about 4 feet which resulted in a trough to catching water against the roof. (This is a roof that was install by my builder, not by Jerry's.) My pest control company checked the area of the sagging fascia for pests and alerted me to the rotting wood situation. The pest company also checked up in the attic and told me that I had rotted OSB and rafters - so I called Jerry's. John from Jerry's came on 5/9/2012 and did the estimate followed by a two man crew coming out on Saturday, 5/12/2012 to do the repairs. They tore out the fascia, soffit and a portion of the roof about 10 feet long by 4 or 5 feet and fixed all the rotted area. It took them about 3 hours. They did a great job picking up the discarded shingles, rotted osb and wood and left my property clean. Although my shingles are 12 years old, you really need to look hard to see the area of the repair

Jerry's was quick to respond and fast and thorough getting the work done.

Jerry performed the measuring and gave complete cost estimate before leaving. Without asking what other's quoted, he provided a quote below previous quotes received. Jerry explained what he was going to do and gave complete details of the supplies he would use. All work was completed in a timly manner. Installers were very courteous and answered any questions we had during installation. After completion Jerry stopped back and when we mentioned out problem with squirrels chewing the vent pipes, he made another special trip and put wire cages around them at no extra cost.

Jerry came out and gave us an estimate prior to the work. He was prompt, communicated regularly and clearly, and was punctual on the day of the appointment. During the estimate process, Jerry explained the issues with the current roof and how it failed to meet code. His crew who performed the work were also punctual and worked continuously and quickly until the job was done. An issue arose when the inspector came to review the work. The work failed the first inspection with several problems. On the positive side, Jerry responded quickly and sent out a team to fix the mistakes promptly. We are still awaiting the re-inspect.

We decided not to do the full roof so we didn’t use them. I think they were punctual and professional, and their price was in the same range as everyone else. They left a good impression and I would call them back.

I've used Jerry's Roofing three times for roof leaks in my 10 year old home. The first time was after Hurricane Charlie ripped three shingles off of my roof (that would be 2004). I had called 5 other roofing companies that either refused to take on such a small job or told me that they were only doing jobs over a $1000.00 until the demand (due to storm damage) reduced. Jerry's however, came out the next day, gave me an estimate and did the work for $90.00 (and perfectly matched my shingles). Since then, I've had them out two more times to fix various leaks (not in the same place). Jerry told me that it's the shingle design that my builder used that's causing my problems and showed me why I've gotten these leaks. They've always been professional, fast and reasonable. My last repair was 09/01/2010 and Jerry (the owner) did the leak fix himself and told me that if I have any additonal problems in that area, he'll come back and fix it free. So far, with heavy rain, no problems in any of the areas Jerry's has fixed for me. Their customer service is great.

He came the day following our telephone call and went on the roof, and then gave an estimate. We scheduled the work the following day. In less than 2 days, the job was done. We paid after services were performed and inspected by us. Also, the shingles matched what we already had so we can't even tell where the fixes happened (except upon close inspection... showing that the shingles are new, not dirty).

This was a little non-standard, as we had a roof extension added, using carport aluminum material. Jerry's Roofing shingled the entire surface, and successfully making it look like a cohesive whole. The work was completed in a timely manner, and end result looks wonderful. (see pictures)
