Al Bevis Flooring

Al Bevis and Jeff removed the damaged hardwood and replaced with new BR111. Note: the homeowner dropped a heavy object and gouged the hardwood floor. This project took 2 days since the removal of the damaged wood was very labor intensive and required the concrete floor to be fixed because it sustained some minor damage during the wood removal. Now our floor looks like it did prior to the accident. Previously Al Bevis had installed BR111 hardwood in most of our house. We are extremely pleased with their workmanship and professionalism and would recommend them for any hardwood project.

The job went very well, smooth and fast. They showed me a step-by-step process in their work. They did very well and professional. I would call them again if needed.

It was VERY slow going, but he did it. My only dissatisfaction is that it's and quot;patchedand quot; together...apparently he miscalculated the cuts.

They were very hard workers, but very late to get started each day. I was extremely happy with the kitchen floor and the first bathroom, but when it was time to do the second bathroom, the quote he gave me changed, and I was told he hadn't ordered enough tile for what he quoted me for the 2 bathrooms and kitchen and needed 2 more boxes of tile for the second bathroom halfway through the job.. I had to pay an additional $850 for this tile and then they only needed one box, not 2 for the job. No refund was given me for the extra box of tile and I didn't even get to keep the box I paid for. They contacted me a couple of weeks later saying they couldn't find the second box of tile I paid for and didn't know where it was. The prep work they did was fantastic. The second bathroom was not nearly as well done, I think they hurried more to just get the last room done. Tile was not cut straight by the tub and they just stuck a vinyl caulk strip on the floor to cover the crooked tile against the tub.

This went great -- everything went exactly to plan. They were on time and finished a little early.

They came to examine the work and provided us with a written estimate. We booked a date and time for our wall-to-wall carpeting to be stretched. They arrived and did a super job. Removed several inches of carpeting around the edges. Tacked it down securely to the carpet pad (which evidently hadn't been done when the carpeting was installed years ago). They even went above and beyond by helping move the furniture back in place when they were done. They did an excellent job of cleaning up (running the vacuum, etc.) We were very satisfied with the workmanship.

Our rental house needed new carpet and they quoted and completed it. They came on a Saturday and worked non-stop to finish 2 rooms. Came back on Sunday morning to complete 3rd room. 4th room was not completed yet because they found a leak under a window in the wall that was causing mold. I was very glad they showed me this problem, they could have just carpted over it and we would have never known. They will be back to finish once the leak is resolved.

The previous carpet had wrinkles for which we expressed concern that the new one would not have that happen. The installer put down extra tack strips and stretched the carpet. Looks great and the cost was estimated.

The job was done very professional. We were very pleased and would consider hiring the company again.

Al was great to work with. To save us money, he suggested that we install the new tile over the old flooring. Working with our interior designer, he showed us samples that fit our style and price range, and gave us a detailed estimate based on our choice. He explained exactly how the job would be done, how long it would take and so on. He and his son-in-law were a pleasure to have in our home. They were very neat, considerate and always communicated what was going on throughout the installation. Most important, the workmanship was absolutely flawless. We love our new floor, and loved working with Al! The job was completed exactly as estimated.
