James the owner was a great guy to work with. The whole process was organized and we were well informed of the process from start to finish. We had old golden oak cabinets that James and his crew were able to refinish and the outcome is unbelievable! They are so beautiful! We would highly recommend James and his crew for quality workmanship!

He did a custom job and the work was outstanding and exemplary.

I was impressed with the quality work done by the workers, especially Steve who's in charge of flooring. I was informed when there was a delay, but was pleasantly surprised with how awesome my new waterproof vinyl flooring transforms my older Condo into a much newer living space. In addition, I'm also greatful I had them do the Demo as well as the installation. My new 4" baseboard transformed 1981 era living room into a room where I can be proud to show off ?.

James is a great guy to work with. He gives you all the steps that go into everything that will be happening over the next couple weeks. Yes, this will take weeks because there is a lot that goes into cabinetry work and etc. Trust me its worth the wait. I am completely satisfied and plan on using him again for my bathroom renovation soon.

James Durrance and his workers did an outstanding job on my kitchen remodel. They refinished all the existing cabinets (natural wood changed to crisp white), replaced countertops with granite, replaced sink, faucet, backsplash, under-cabinet lighting, and added crown molding. The workers were on time and worked quickly with little supervision needed. The price quotes were reasonable, and the total remodel was half the cost of completely replacing all cabinets. The time estimate of 3 weeks was spot on, with the exception of a 1-week span of time when work stopped due to a family illness. Communication with James was always a prompt response whenever I had a question. Work was started the same week we signed the contract. The workers were trustworthy to the point where there were several times we could not be in the house when they were scheduled to be there, but I felt comfortable enough just leaving a side door open for them to come and go. The work area was always left very clean at the end of their workday. All in all, this was the best contractor/builder experience I have ever had and would highly recommend James and Finish First Cabinetry, Inc. I'll be calling them next year to redo 2 bathrooms!

He is straight forward, honest. What he says he does. He give you a time frame and he sticks to it. He also fixed a previous contractor mistake and charge me less then the original contract.

Very professional and a pleasure to have doing this job for us. Wonderful work. We are so happy with our new countertops. There was a delay due to no fault of his own and he kept us informed of what was going on. Would definitely recommend his work and if we have another project in his field, would hire him in a heart beat. We also had an issue with the way the original plumbing under the sink was installed and he went above and beyond to fix the problem and make sure the plumbing was correct.

I was very impressed with the promptness. I was contacted by phone within 5 minutes and James was here the next day to give me an estimate. Job was done within 10 days. We are very pleased with the results.

He was efficient. He came the same day, fixed the door and he was gone in less than a half hour. He was paid and everything was great. Great job and I will use him again.

He takes very good personal pride in his work. He has a very deep concern on how the finished project will come out. He is a perfectionist. Job came out fantastic.

James was very easy to work with. He replaced my worn out, old, laminate countertop with a new surface of laminate. He worked long and hard and was always here when he said he would be. After he finished the kitchen, I had him come back to use up the remainder of product and resurface my countertop in my master bath. He cleaned up after himself and I could reach him with any questions via email or cell phone and he'd return a call to me within a short amount of time. He also installed a new kitchen sink for me. I love the new look of both my kitchen and master bath and would have him come back if I needed him again.

James and his crew built and installed a beautiful cherry wood wall closet in our master bedroom. The "type of service" and "project" fields above would not allow me to alter them to say we didn't have flooring installed, but rather a closet. They did a great job, and the closet is a wonderful addition to our home.

I have an older home that needed alot of updates and work. Finish First Carpentry has done both my front door and side garage door and redid my porch area and now is installing cabinets and flooring. I would highly recommend them to anyone in need of any home improvements. Their quality of work and professionalism is outstanding. Easy to talk to about ideas you may have and will give you suggestions to help improve the homes value which helped me in planning what to do first. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for quality workmanship and value for your money!!
