 + 0 moreSee services performed for more details. 10/2011 to 05/2012 and still no operable filter system and main air intake is filthy.
Description of Work: Sales and scare tactics to misinform about system condition. Created a filter for inside the house (20x25) and built a frame to hold it in the ceiling. Was months arriving and company's frame would not fit opening in the ceiling. More waiting and finally after many calls got someone out to install the filter frame. The new frame did not fit, either, so it was forced into place with the filter inside. Then the door frame was finally loosened and dropped down to allow access to the filter. When filter was cleaned, it was not possible to reinstall the filter frame. So, it sits there with one corner not shut. Found that after a $400+ airduct cleaning was performed, the large plenum between the ceiling filter frame and the air handler was not touched and it was coated with about 1/4 inch of dirt and contaminants. That condition still exists. Calls made, appointments set but noone shows up Called again today 5/3/12 and was promised someone would come out and correct the installation. They are nothing but a bunch of commission salemen selling a non existent product.

 + -1 moreThey scammed us. We had to replace the air conditioner less than a year later. Stay away from them. The work they did was very sloppy and it didn't work at all. They were terrible and sold us some special filter and it took them 3 months for us to get it after several phone calls.

air duct cleaning
 + -1 moreI saw something in the paper that said they would do our whole home for $25.00. I ended up paying $1,190.00 for the total job. They saw that I am 86 years old. I feel that James Pumphrey took advantage of me I have called atleast 7-10 times after the job was done and they have not called me back. They had a bunch of hidden charges that were not specified in the add. They never explained to me exactly what they did to my home.
Description of Work: They cleaned out my vents.

 + -1 moreI thought I would receive a cleaning dryer vent cleaning. The name "VacuVent" implies a vacuuming. It didn't happen. He didn't move the dryer. He simply went up on the roof and said he removed an obstruction. Ten minutes. Wham, bam, thank you maam.

 + 0 moreI had initially scheduled for a week earlier, but I had to cancel when they were running late. After rescheduling for another day, two men arrived on time and they were very pleasant and did a quick, but thorough job. I would use them again.
Description of Work: Vacuvent cleaned my dryer vent and home air ducts with a HEPA filtered vacuum system.

 + -1 moreSince this company got good ratings on Angieslist, I called them. When you call you get the national headquarters, not anyone local, and that person was very strong and assertive. He quoted a price for $96.95 for 9 ducts (he figured that by asking me how many rooms we have) plus the dryer vent and we made an appointment for 9 am the following Monday. At 9:25 on Monday Robin shows up. He said there was no way he could do the work for the $96.95...obviously one reason being we had 2X as many ducts. We decided to have the work done anyway, even though we felt we had been given the old "bait and switch." Robin, who is headquartered in Cape Coral, not on Kelly Rd in SW Ft. Myers, says he's been doing this for 14 years. He supposedly got the price adjusted for us after talking to someone; otherwise the cost would've been closer to $300. He was nice enough and was efficient and left all in good order. He was here not more than 1 1/2 hours. He's ok but the national headquarters is to be avoided.
Description of Work: I am sure the dryer vent was cleaned well and there has been a noticeable improvement in drying time. All our air ducts were also cleaned and I am hopeful the job there was as good as the dryer vent. We have 18 vents so that is quite a few. He (Robin) encouraged us to get better filters for the vents.

 + -1 moreIt was very good. The phone estimate was just for vents and that is what he charged me. When he got here we talked about the additional work which was very reasonable.
Description of Work: They cleaned the vents and did a vent treatment and I also purchased an air filter.
