Mark was great, when I first called him, I left a message on his answering machine, he returned my call later that day, he was at Wet and Wild with his kids, and said he would call me the next morning and set an appointment. Later in the afternoon he called again and asked if he could stop by on his way home from Wet and Wild, and I said yes, when he got here, we talked a bit and then he took a look at the porch. He gave me a great price, I worked construction for 35 yeard as an electrician, so I had an idea how much it was going to be, and his price was very reasonable. He is willing to work with you, he is very , professional,courtious, an all around good gentleman. He showed up the next morning, with one of his workers and wasted no time getting started. It took the two of them most of the day to do the work, and when he was finished he cleaned up. I would not hesitate at all to call him when I need more work done.

We were very impressed with Mark. He did great work for us. What stood out were his skills. He is extremely good at what he does. He was professional and he was on time. He was thorough and reasonably priced. I couldn’t do any better than that. I think the price was very reasonable.

Mark responded quickly to request for an estimate. Workers showed up at expected times, and there were no interruptions during the job. Workers were very professional (no loud music), and craftsmanship was good. The siding damage was more extensive than first thought, but we were able to make an adjustment that was satisfactory to both parties. I would definitely use Mark Andrews Construction again. In fact I have already scheduled additional work with them.

Came out as promised and gave estimate of job. Initially, there was a small issue of the placement and angle of the beam and trim work. Mark came right out and saw the issue and had his crew fix it properly and to my liking. Finished early so had the gutter installers come out. Coincidentally, he uses the guys (Excel Aluminum) that I like which was good. Final product turned out great! Highly recommend!

Mark did an excellent job; working around weather problems, keeping me advised of his availability, and coordinating his schedule with another contractor doing related work on my house. I had to leave town on business before the work was complete, and I was delighted to come home and find everything done.

His estimate seemed reasonable, so I signed a contract with a deposit of $800 as part of the total price of 3800.00, with the understanding that he would need more money as the project progressed. The job was to begin around the end of August. When I did not hear from, I called, and he could not find my contract He finally found it and apologized for misplacing it. That should have been my first clue. | |He began the work with his assistant Sean in early September and worked off and on for two weeks. He placed a tarp covering part of the deck, and Sean did a good job cleaning pieces of stucco except for the chunks that went into the pool which he was to clean up, but did not. Those pieces adhered to the pool bottom and would not come up. I was told by my pool company not to try at this point to pry up the pieces as the surface would be damaged. | |Towards the end of the project, no tarp was used, and small pieces of stucco adhered to the pool deck which Mark was to clean up along with stucco which adhered to the soffit. I did not see Mark for a month while the roof was painted and the stucco dried out. By this time the pieces on the deck had adhered and become like stone. When I showed Mark the stucco pieces, he said they were not his fault as the damage had required major construction. He did have Sean come out, and he unsuccessfully tried to clean up the problem | |Painting began on 9/2/13 by Jeff Wilson, who did an excellent job also painting the total outside of the house. Mark came out to measure for re-screening, and I again showed him the mess on the deck and soffit. Again nothing was done. Mark sent a out Housmann's screening Co. to do the actual work, but wanted me to pay for it totally, instead of the small portion I had requested repaired. I was sent many bills for the screening from Housmann, and it tool til the end of January to settle the problem. I withheld final payment from Mark at this point. Finally, in the middle of January Mark's excellent assistant Sean came out again, and he finally finished the job, and Mark got paid and then paid the screener. | |While the actual repair Mark did was very good, what he put me through was very unprofessional and caused me much anxiety. What began as a two week job for him personally lasted over four months, and that is why I gave him a D grade.

The rebuilt half-wall consisted of a wood frame, water proof tar paper, metal screen, stucco, paint, with aluminum frame and nylon screen on the top half of the wall. The work was completed in stages with multiple people involved. All of them were professional and performed a quality job. Mark and I reviewed the completed job together and he answered all of my questions. Throughout the process he was easy to talk to and easy to work with.

Mark and his crew started on this job right away and completed it before the contract deadline. We were very pleased with his work and would hire him again. His rates were reasonable and consistent with the work he performed.

He was early, worked steadily communicating constantly, leaving choices and options to consider. I would hire this guy in a heart beat.

Both the estimate and the actual work happened very quickly after contact. Everyone involved was friendly and professional, and the work was completed more quickly than expected. When a small part of the estimated work proved impractical, they reduced the work and cost rather than upselling.

Mark was prompt and extremely thorough. We had a snake get into our dryer vent and die, causing a very foul odor in the dryer and utility room. Mark and his crew removed the outside vent, vent line and the back of the dryer, got rid of the remains, and thoroughly cleaned everything with bleach. He also installed additional light fixtures and replaced some old ones, both inside and out. He cleaned one long gutter of leaves and installed screening to prevent future clogging. He is returming next week to remove and replace our garage ceiling, which was showing signs of sagging and cracking along the seams. His crew also did some repairs to our concrete driveway. All work was done very professionally, and they did an outstanding job of clean-up. I would definitely call Mark again if I have more work needing to be done.

I called Mark Andrews in the morning...He came to the house that evening, gave me an estimate and the next day there were people on the job...It was finished the following day....The job came in $100. under estimate even though removal of the A/C was not originally included..

Mark came out right away and gave a fair estimate. He had pictures of jobs and references. He seemed very professional and gave great suggestions. After considering the bids we received we picked Mark Andrews. We were very excited to work with him because he seemed like a honest professional who would do a good job. We called him back three weeks later to schedule a time to sign a contract and get started. He suggested a Saturday evening, we agreed. He didn't show up, and didn't call. We called him to find out what happened and he apologized and we rescheduled for a Friday evening, my husband's birthday. He called my husband and left a voice mail Friday evening, asking if we were able to reschdule and if so to call. We didn't receive the voicemail until about the time of our appointment, and we assumed based on the message that he would make it since he didn't say that he was not going to be able to come, but he did not show up. I called him and left a message trying to figure out what happened and if he was really just too busy to take our job or something. He has not returned my call. We've arranged our schedule twice to meet him, and twice he hasn't shown up. We're not difficult to schedule, pretty much any evening, and even that is flexible to move to an afternoon or something as needed. We're super disappointed because it's been difficult to find a good contractor and we thought that he would be good. However, chasing down a contractor to get him to meet and sign a contract is not a good sign, and it's really unfortunate because he had good reviews on Angie's list and seemed like a competent person. UPDATE: It's unfortunate that we had so much difficulty getting in contact. My husband did update me and say that Mark called back. At the time I discussed the initial posting with my husband he had not received a call back from Mark. It is true that no deposit was taken nor was any contract signed. Mark seems like a good guy and is probably a good contractor. I don't have a horror story about getting screwed. I just have a frustrating story about scheduling on two seperate occasions. We're very busy, we have three kids, and we both work, not keeping appointments on multiple occasions can be very difficult for us when we arrange for child care so that we can focus on getting a clear contract together. I'm sure that Mark is busy too and I understand that sometimes things come up, but if we're having a hard time scheduling someone to sign a contract and get started - how hard will it be in the event that I have a problem with something on the job?

Mark showed up on time for the estimate and began the work within days of the estimate. It took about 4 days to complete the work. The workers showed up on time each morning and did a fantastic job. Definitely one of my best experiences with construction. I would highly recommend them and will use them again in the future.

Mark came over and gave us an estimate the day after I called him. We spoke about the options of sanding and painting the porch frame as opposed to rebuilding it. We talked about the kind of screening that would go into the lower panels as we have two dogs.We talked price and decided on a start date. A gentleman came over to measure the porch the day after I spoke with Mark. On the appointed date Mark brought two workers to address painting parts of the house. They caulked where needed. The next day the porch crew came, removed the old framing and hauled it away. The next and final day they put up the aluminum framing, screened it, put in the doggy door and our outside door. It is sturdy and we are glad we had it rebuilt. The other two crew members also came parts of the other two days to repair other odds and ends. Mark came each day and made a final inspection. We are happy with the product and he warrants his work for labor and structure for one year.
