+ 0 moreThis was contracted out to another provider by Lowes to install. It did not go well because the floor started separating in high traffic areas. It was not properly installed. At first they blamed it on the manufacturer and then finally determined it was the installation. It was frustrating dealing with this I had to make several calls, and send e-mails that were not returned. Lowes did finally admit it was the installation and totally reimbursed us for this after a year.
Description of Work: They installed tiger wood hard wood flooring in our home.

water heater repair
+ -1 moreWe got a new hot water heater from Lowes. The store and the workers there are very good. We were probably in there a month ago. The cost of the hot water heater was about 1200 dollars. The workers there were very helpful, taking and showing us what we needed, sending somebody out to make sure that we got the right thing before it was installed. We thought that the price was a little high. The price wasn't so bad as it was for the labor for the installation. Lowes contracts people to come out and do it but then they have to get a bit of whatever they are charging too. Other than that it was fine. The quality was fine. The responsiveness was very good. The punctuality was good. The professionalism was very good. I would use them in the future.
Description of Work: We got a new hot water heater from Lowes.

+ -1 moreBoth times there was a major error in the installation, resulting in months worth of delays to receiving a final product. Their management responses were lackluster, to say the least. I was very forceful to negotiate to recoup my financial losses due to the carpet installation issue, and in the end did receive a credit. However, to my surprise, I experienced a similar issue during installation of my blinds, and their lackluster response has been frustrating. I have waited 3 months to get the blinds installed that I paid for back in February. I do not think I can trust future installations to this store - and I need alot more work done.
Description of Work: I used the Lowes store in Satellite Beach to install carpeting and blinds throughout my home.

+ -1 moreI usually go there for vegetables, gardening needs, paints; when I had the exterior as well as the interior painted. The people are very helpful and their products we used are very good. They always have someone who will ask if they would helpful and are very customer centric. I wanted wind chimes and when I went in, one person asked me to use plastic cups and saucers as a platform, which turned out to be very good. Once I picked up a big item and they were very good with calling up and thanking me for coming there. They are very professional and know what they are talking about. I am very impressed with them.
Description of Work: My husband went to Lowes as we are remodeling our kitchen.

replacement windows
+ -1 moreWe got the best windows for the best price. The installers were good and timely. They called to see that we were satisfied. It was an excellent job. They took care of all of the permitting.

+ 0 moreExcellent experience from start to finish, will consider Lowes Home Installation for future projects.
Description of Work: Ordered a special order garage door and utilized Lowe's Installed Sales for the installation services. Installed sales subcontracted with a qualified installation firm. The installer checked site conditions a couple of days after initial order was placed, and when final order was placed, the door was received about two weeks after order was placed, and installed within about a week. The installer pulled the required permit, removed the existing door, installed the new door and trim, and reconnected the opener in about a half day. Installer was courteous and professional, installation was well performed, and job site was left clean. Very satisfied with the service. Also very satisfied with the door, a Wayne Dalton Model 6100 Windload rated door. Have not had the occassion to test its hurricane readiness, but it seems like a substantial door with significant cross bracing, heavy duty track and hardware, and a brace for the middle (16 foot span). Very satisfied with the product and service, will consider Lowes Home Installation for other projects in the future.

+ -1 moreThey gave us a quote of $10,000 to have cabinets and granite countertops installed. They did cabinets that were a little more complicated and pricey than the other quote we got and even one section itself was $1,000.
