The company owner arrived on time for the appointment and was very personable and friendly. The only thing I have a problem with is that the estimate said the price included all discounts and coupons even though he didn't know what discounts or coupons I had.I

I was highly impressed with Zoller Roofing. The service specialist secured all loose shingles and did whatever maintenance was required. He was courteous and more than willing to answer all my questions.

Timeliness: Nick and his associate arrived 15 minutes prior to the appointment, introduced themselves and explained the type of service they were going to perform. Customer focus: Nick encouraged me to verify the type of roof inspection I had purchased (I had the shingle roof vs. the tile roof) to ensure I was getting the bank for my buck. Shingle roofs are less expensive, and I verified that indeed I had purchased the cheaper service. Inspection / service performance: The inspection revealed that another contractor had left a trail of nails on the roof (probably from falling off from the previous contractor's pocket). It was also found nails without proper caulking, a leak in the roof venting system, and a minor caulking defect in one of the vent traps. All these were covered by the package I purchased. Additional services: Although not included, they did a quick cleanup of the gutter area (it had rained the day prior to the inspection). When I asked questions in regards to the maintenance and cleaning schedule for the roof, they recommended several steps, and they also explained to me best practices to clean the roof without damaging the shingles.

We purchased the $99 roof inspection and minor repairs package offered by Angie's List. He showed up on time and inspected our roof and did a minor repair. My wife estimated he spent about 30-45 minutes at the house. We had to pay an additional $50 because it was a tile roof. We have a small leak that has dripped water in once or twice in the past couple years and we hired him to do this inspection because we had hoped he'd actually do some inspecting and tell us the problem and give us an estimate on what the repairs would cost. However, he didn't take the time to look into the problem and give us any answers. Furthermore, he said he'd be in touch w/ more information and an estimate. That never happened. We emailed him to give him a second chance (BTW, never give an FL contractor of any kind a 2nd chance. If you have a bad impression things usually get worse than better.) but he never replied. We feel like we paid $150 and got nothing for it and that he was just some other fly by night operator looking to make a few quick bucks without doing any real work. We're very disappointed with Zoller Roofing and Angie's List for promoting and enabling companies like this. If a company is too small to handle the demands of running promotion...don't run a promotion. There are dozens of roofers in the phone book that will come and look at this for free and provide an estimate so spending $150 and getting nothing really seems like a waste of time and money. The purpose of buying something through Angie's List is to do better than some random number out of the phone book and that certainly wasn't achieved with this purchase.

I would not use this provider again.

They did an excellent job in a timely and very professional manner. Since I was at work during most of the time, the supervisor kept me in the loop through texts. When the shipment of shingles delivered were not up to their standards they delayed installation a day until new and acceptable shingles could be delivered. I have already recommended them twice.

We purchased a $99 service package from Angie's List Big Deal. Additional work was done for $50. Nick arrived on time and was very professional. He and Sean inspected our roof and took many pictures to show us what it looked like and what needed fixing. We had more vents going through our roof than what the package included. The additional work was performed for $50 which we felt was very reasonable. Everything about the condition of our roof was explained to us very well. We expected to hear that the roof needed replaced (it had been leaking). Instead, we were very pleased to learn that it should last us for several more years. Additional pictures were taken after the repairs were made so we could see what was done. It was suggested that we might want to have it inspected every two years which we plan to do. I would definitely recommend this company and plan to use them again in the future.

We may finally be able to put away the buckets and towels. The Florida room ceiling leaked for years because of a previous (presumably shoddy) roofing job. Even though that roofer put down new aluminum panels it seems he did not properly seal the new aluminum with the existing shingled roof. This caused a seam in the Florida room ceiling to leak - a lot - every time it rained. After the very heavy rains we had the summer of 2013 the roof started to leak in several other places causing damage to furniture and carpeting. After reading some stellar reviews at Angie's List that were specific to leaking aluminum roofs we made an appointment with Zoller Roofing. Nick Zoller and Sean Donnery arrived for the appointment on time. We showed them where the ceiling was leaking. Nick went up on the roof and assessed the situation. He took several photos. The photos showed the problem. Nick and Sean explained how Zoller would fix it. They were professional, friendly and assured us that we could finally have a dry Florida room. They also said that if the roof still leaked after their repair they would come back as many times that were necessary to fix the problem.They emailed the photos and an estimate the next day. The roof repair was professionally done approximately a month after we signed the contract. The reason we have not written this review sooner is because we have not had heavy rain to test the repair. However, it has lightly rained a few times and not a drop of water has shown up on the ceiling. IF this changes we will write an update, but we doubt that will happen.

Zoller Roofing did a great job!!!I I am very happy with my new roof. I was very pleased by the level of their work & professionalism. The crew was pleasant and extremely hard working. They were very knowledgeable about what they were doing which made my life easier. They worked right through some really undesirable conditions in the Florida heat and rain. Overall, I was very pleased with the quality of work they provided for me. I highly recommend these guys. They are the best!! Keep up the good work!!

It's the rainy season here in SRQ ... so no roofer is going to be easy to get a hold of OR get scheduled quickly. That said, Nick and his crew did EVERYTHING in his power to make sure my roof was repaired at their earliest opportunity. They did a great job, and the crew was a joy to have on my property. They took EXTRA care to magnet search/clean for nails and material, so that our landscaper's equipment wouldn't get damaged. I consider Zoller roofing an OUTSTANDING value ... they're at the TOP of the list in terms of quality and expertise, yet right in line with everyone else's prices. I give Zoller a "B" for "Responsiveness" ONLY because they're so busy during the heavy rain season, that it's somewhat difficult to get him to call back. But, that is COMPLETELY negated by his expertise, knowledge, quality and HONESTY. Nick ... despite the "B" in responsiveness, I'll hire you in a heartbeat when it's time to repair or replace my roof. Others would be wise to do the same.

Zoller was very helpful and prompt when we called for an estitmate for repairs to the roof of our newly purchased house. The roof problems were totally missed by our house inspector and we needed our repairs done quickly. We do not currently live in Florida and have a tenant in the house. Zoller impressed us when they came out to give us an estimate and were very helpful with providing us an estimate quickly before we were leaving to go back home and before our tenant moved in. It turned out that we needed more repairs then we expected and Zoller held our hands through out the whole process. There was a roof problem and our tenant called us around 9:30 pm to tell us about it and we, in turn, called Sean at Zoller on his cell phone - he actually answered our call and helped us out! I don't think you can get that kind of service at many roofing companies. Our tenant said they were wonderful and always called before they were coming to be sure it was a good time for them to do the work. While the work was being done Zoller sent us pictures of all the repairs before the repairs were done and after the repairs were finished. We must have received 40 pictures so we were kept in the loop the entire time. After the work was done Zoller stopped at the house to be sure the repairs weren't leaking. It was a very upsetting and stressful time for us and Zoller helped to make things easier. They have also said they would come out periodically to check the roof for us until we become permanent residents of Florida. Zoller has been very professional at all times. It has been a pleasure to do business with them.

At first contact Nick Zoller was prompt at answering my call and setting up an appointment for roof repair estimate. He explained the procedure well, gave me some advice, and was very professional. He said he would email me a quote within a few days. About 10 days went by and he emailed me to ask if I had made a decision. I let him know I never received a quote, said he'd get it to me the next day. 4-5 days went by and I contacted him again for the quote. Finally received it almost 3 weeks after I started the process. There were excuses about attachments not going through, etc. His price was fair, but when I called and left a message to ask for some clarification on some of the items on the quote, my call was never returned. I subsequently went with another roofer whose price was $2,000 higher, but who was very responsive, returned my calls immediately, and who explained that his company would only do work that was properly permitted, inspected, and up to code standards, and what in his quote specifically reflected what the code required. Zoller showed promise at his initial appointment, but his lack of follow-through made me concerned about the quality of work I would receive and his availability should I have a problem to resolve after the work was completed. His company needs to get its act together at the point of sale--this is not the first comment I see on Angie's list about problem receiving quotes after the initial appointment.

This turned out to be tricky, but the roofers kept after it until it was totally sealed. They discovered and replaced some rotted wood on the house roof and the underlayment and shingles. When that didn't stop the leaking, they returned to replace the brittle sealant material used by the original aluminum roof installers with a more flexible and durable material to stop any possible water incursion between the two roofs. That stopped much of the leakage, but not all, and they returned yet again to try to find where the water could be getting in. The source of the last leak was a series of unsealed holes left over from a gutter that had been removed when the new screen room was added. After the holes were sealed, there were no leaks. All of this work was done very professionally. I have used Zoller Roofing before for a skylight replacement, and I will use them again. This particular job must have been a roofer's nightmare, but you would have never know it. I saw nothing but determination get the job done right, and they were always upbeat.

Nick Zoller is very professional. He kept us updated on all stages of the replacement. His crew are extremely hard workers. The tile roof was removed without problems. The entire work area around the house was kept neat & clean. There was no damage to any of the plants or surrounding area. When the job was finished you would never have known the entire roof was replaced. His price is very reasonable. I am very happy to say my roof is now a thing of beauty. As a matter of fact not only did Nick do our roof, but also my cousin's house next door, and our neighbor 2 doors down. In total 3 roofs in a row. All 3 of us did not have a single complaint or concern with Nick doing the job. The jobs were done in an extremely efficient and timely manner. This is definitely the guy to go to for a new roof. A 5 star roofer.

Initially, I was very impressed with Zoller roofing, enough even to pass his name on to a friend. I did this to see, if in fact, he did follow up with his promise to take care of the issue that I had with his company. The day of the estimate, he called to let me know he was running a bit late. We changed the appointment time and he arrived a bit early for the appointment. He appeared very professional and personable but I never got an estimate. Upon calling, I was told my email addresses did not seem to accept his bid. I gave him another alternate email that did come through. We called with questions without a return call. Emails were sent only to be unanswered. Not to beat up this issue but when I finally received a call, Nick was not only apologetic but informed me he would take care of this issue because this is NOT the way he runs his business. I told him we had committed to another roofer and he understood. Because of this, I did pass his name and number on to another friend who is looking for a roofer.

Workers showed up on time and did a great job.

We came home in the late afternoon during a very heavy rainstorm and found a puddle of water on our new bamboo floor. We were very concerned as we are going out of town for a lengthy amount of time and only had two days to get the leak repaired. I called Zoller Roofing and the receptionist was very helpful and responsive to our emergency needs. The very next day in the AM NIck Zoller came out and went on the roof and found the problem around the vent. A few of the clay tiles had been broken. He called his repair people and they arrived within 30 minutes and repaired the roof immediately. The initial estimate for an emergency repair was $350 but because we found him on Angie's list he gave us a $25 refund. While he was on the roof he noticed that our next door neighbor's roof vent seemed to have the same broken tiles around the vent. Since my neighbor and I had our roofs pressured washed at the same time we assume that is how the tiles got broken. Nick informed me of the neighbor's problem and I immediately called them and let them know so they could get their roof repaired if they wished. We found Nick to be very knowledgable, polite, courteous and punctual. We will certainly use his services again if we have any more roof problems.

During some turbulent weather in recent times our chimney diverter cap got loose and found it's way onto the tile roof where it came to rest for who knows how many days/weeks?? When we finally detected the situation, we ordered a replacement diverter, but not before some heavy rain sprung a leak. We immediately contacted Zoller Roofing. Nick Zoller came out without delay, and thoroughly inspected the roof. He took numerous pictures of potentially weak areas possibly causing the leak, but proceeded to install a tarp over the entire chimney where the old diverter once was. He indicated that one possibility could be that the leak originated somewhere in connection with the chimney situation. The tarp would cover up the chimney scars, and then we waited until the next downpour cam along. Everything stayed dry; the leak was in fact caused by some "scars" from the old the chimney diverter. The new diverter arrived, was installed in no time by a carpenter (referred to me by Zoller for some window work) who happened to be working on another issue on the house. When I contacted Zoller to report to him the outcome, he acknowledged that there really was no repair work done by him, therefore NO CHARGE. I could not believe it. ++++ This company is in a class by themselves. +++ A complete roof replacement is coming due in the not too distant future and I know just whom to call on.

We have a 1926 historically significant large 2 1/2 storey brick home. Some of the drip edge and flashing was still in it's original copper and we tried to preserve as much as possible. We chose 4 Angie's list companies for estimates. I have a construction background and thoroughly understand the new regulations and required work for wind mitigation. Nick's company and crew chief Bill seemed to have the best understanding of working within the parameters of a very old house (well for Florida) and bringing it up to code which should save us on our insurance. They kept the jobsite very clean and "trolled for nails" in the yard with magnets every day. I had no problem scrambling around the roof, so I had closeup views of the work at all times. Parts that only birds will ever see were just as neat as the visible areas. There was no unnecessary wood replacement so the final bill was very close to the estimate. When checking out your estimates from various vendors, pay close attention to the wood replacement clauses as they vary enormously. Zoller was very fair in that pricing. We had a couple of rain days, but other than that, they were there every weekday and finished in about 2 weeks. Good experience.

My wife and I had recently bought a house in Sarasota that was 7 years old and looked to me like it had a couple of cracked tiles on the roof. I called Nick Zoller to come by and take a look. Nick arrived at the agreed time, walked the roof for a few minutes and identified several areas that needed attention (there was a missing tile, several slipped tiles and many more cracked tiles than I had seen from the ground). I also needed the gutter around the lanai cleaned. Nick was not only friendly but obviously very knowledgeable. He gave me thoughtful answers that made sense to me to the various questions I asked him about tile roofs as they are installed in Florida. I quickly concluded that this was a guy who knew what he was doing and was someone I could trust. This was not a large job but Nick was able to get a crew over to do the work in the limited time I was in town.

Desperately needed a new roof, so called Nick @ Zoller Roofing. Nick was both prompt and professional as well as friendly. All calls & emails were returned promptly. The job was booked for the following week, fitting me right into their schedule. The crew was early, worked diligently, had the entire thing replaced in what seemed like no time. The new roof looks terrific, the yard looks like no one was ever here. Never thought I would be so excited about a new roof! The supervisor on the job, Bill, even took the time to help me with a completely not related issue when they were trying to wrap up the project. The only issue is now the house really needs painting.....the roof looks so good. I would definitely recommend Zoller Roofing.

Went well would recommend them to everyone.

We have not received Mr Zoller's estimate to have the roof repaired or replaced. Due to his lack of follow up, we will not be using his services in the future.
