They did a good job. The leak stopped, and it was done. They had to change the piece of the fascia board, but they didn't paint it. The tiles were fixed, and it was more than they originally quoted because they said when they opened it up they found more damage, but I was surprised that they didn't paint the board. They had a young nephew working in them, and they were asking the nephew if he was interested in doing the job, and the nephew said yes, but they didn't get back to me. The price was a little more expensive. Since we cannot go up there and paint it, it is hard to find somebody who will come and paint that one little piece. They did the job on the top but I was just upset that they couldn't finish it. The price was a little less than somebody else, and they were professional on the phone. I would use them but I would have to have some more detailed discussion with them.

It was great! They were on time, cleaned the roof, saw that a previous provider had left nails on the roof. They removed those. They resealed around the vents, and secured some of the guards/grills around the vents.

He determined that we did not need a new roof nor did we even need a repair. He advised us to keep an eye on the ceiling where we thought there might be a problem and to let him know if the problem got worse. Sean said we probably have a few years left on the roof and gave me an estimate so I would have an idea of how much it would be when the time comes. He was here about 40 minutes and charged me nothing. Very helpful, honest and professional.

We needed to get our roof repaired because we had a small leak in the master bath. We contacted three different roofing companies to determine where the leak was and what should be done to eliminate it. All of them determined that the leak was occurring along a section of the roof where it met another section at an unusual pitch. Two of the three gave us estimates that were close to $2000 and involved removing a section of the clay tile roof. After thoroughly looking at our roof and where our leak was, Sean Donnery from Zoller Roofing determined that we had two options. One was to repair the roof in the same manner as the other two companies had proposed. The other option involved simply applying a sealer along the flashing where the roof sections met preventing water from getting behind the flashing and leaking into the master bath. It was this second option that he recommended and would only cost $475. As he stated, if taking the conservative approach didn't work, the other more involved repair could be done. We had Zoller Roofing come in and apply the sealer to the flashing and that small section of roof. They arrived on time, were thorough and had the work completed within a short period of time. The leak stopped and we have not had any reoccurrence. We appreciate the fact that Zoller Roofing offered a practical and economical solution to our problem and we will use them again whenever we need a roofer.

This company was very professional and did and excellent job with the repair. Their price was about $500 lower than other estimates on got. I would highly recommend this company and plan on using them when I need a complete new roof in a couple years.

They scheduled well according to the urgency and weather conditions, arrived as scheduled, completed the work quickly and professionally. I'm pleased with their company and personnel. I'll use them in future for any roofing needs.

Our saga began when the house was not cooling. We thought perhaps there wasn't enough insulation, and so we called a provider to apply more. That provider suggested we get an energy audit done by our power provider first. That service was free, and we had it done. The power guy said our cooling problem was actually A/C related, but that we did, indeed, need more insulation. He also seemed quite alarmed that we had no roof vent. He elaborated that the hot air had nowhere to go, and that a roof vent was necessary for heat to escape and even showed us the temperature of our inside ceiling to prove how hot the attic was. Well, that was a bit of a shock, so we reasoned we'd need a roofer to install a vent before we insulated. We also figured we'd get an estimate at the same time for roof fasteners since our roof uses toenail fasteners and insurance could be decreased by about $500 per year for an upgrade. Enter Zoller Roofing. Sean came to our house right on time and was very friendly, efficient and professional. . We explained the above stuff to him so he climbed onto the roof and...surprise! We DO have a roof vent. A very adequate one at that. Imagine our embarrassment (but heck, we don't know about construction). Obviously, the power guy knows nothing about it either, but the difference is that he's advising ignorant homeowners like us about the very thing he knows nothing about. Hmm. On to the toenail fasteners: Sean explained that with our particular structure (masonry and stucco soffits and a very narrow angle) that replacing the fasteners to save 500 bucks a year would not make economic sense. The roof is fairly young and everything is sound. So, the visit was a total waste of time for Zoller (except for the goodwill and this review), but saved us a whole lot of money that we thought we were going to have to spend 'cause we trusted that the power guy knew what he was talking about. Thank you, Zoller. When the time for a new roof--or any kind of roofing-related construction--comes, you KNOW we'll call you, and recommend you to our friends.

We had the roof power washed and the washer told us we should have the roof checked for possible disintegration near one vent. I called Zoller after finding them on Angie's List. The woman who answered the phone was courteous and efficient and scheduled an appointment quickly. Sean Donnery came out to our house. He called about 20 minutes before the scheduled time to let us know he was on his way. He arrived exactly when he said he would and was friendly and efficient. After checking all of the roof, Sean explained what the power washer saw and assured us that it was nothing to worry about. He checked all the roof tiles and the vents. The most impressive part is that Sean was honest and told us our roof was in great shape and that he didn't need to repair anything. He could have easily deceived us but he was honest and also made sure we understood everything. Sean told us that estimates are free so there were no charges! I cannot tell you how refreshing it is to use a business with such high quality employees! I will absolutely use Zoller for any future roofing needs and I will recommend them to everyone I know!

We had the "Ugliest" roof in the whole neighborhood, so we decided that it was finally time to replace it with a new one. Nick, the owner of Zoller Roofing, came out to give us an estimate after I found them on Angie's List. Even though they were not the lowest estimate that we got, we decided to use them because the owner was not only professional and punctual, but also very personable and listened to what we wanted. While Nick was here, I found out that he had re-roofed the home next door. Before we signed the contract, I actually became a nuisance with email questions about the job, but Nick remained professional and answered every single email quickly. I signed the contract and put it in the mail on a Friday and Nick's crew was there on Monday morning to start the job ! The foreman, Bill, was also very professional and had his team working immediately. Bill and his team were all very friendly, clean, and worked hard all day. At the end of the first day, Bill and his team had the whole back of the roof tore off and covered with the moisture barrier before our afternoon rain hit. They must have done a great job because there were no leaks to be found. The second day, Bill and his team showed up bright and early and got to work on the front half of the roof right away. By mid-afternoon, Bill and his team had the rest of the old roof torn off and covered with the moisture barrier. When the team left for the day, you never would have known they had been there because everything was actually cleaner than they had found it. On the third day, Bill and his team showed up early and went right to work, never standing around talking, eating, or smoking. By the end of the third day, our new beautiful roof was finished. I honestly don't think our roof has ever looked this nice, and Bill and his team took all of the trash and cleaned everything up before they left. Choosing Zoller Roofing to replace our old roof was one of the best decisions we have made regarding this old house in a long time. If you are looking for a Roofing company to do any kind of work, you would be very lucky to get Zoller !!!!!! Thanks again Nick, Bill, and the whole team for such a great and stress-free job ! They were the only company locally, that offered to fix the dents and grooves in my roof rather than just quote a price to remove and reinstall a new roof. They were on time.

I Called to request an estimate for a roof leak. Received a commitment fora visit the next day at 9:00 am. As promised, Nick arrived promptly at 9:00 to provide an estimate. After going up on the roof to determine what was required to repair the current leak, he also checked a previous repair at my request. We reviewed the photos of both areas and the options for repair. Nick promised a detailed estimate for both areas within 72 hours. Again, as promised the estimate arrived and provided details an cost estimates. I was pleased with the cost provided and called immediately to schedule an appointment. the repairs took two days and I was kept informed by the crew on the progress at the end of the day as well as being given the opportunity to ask any questions I may have. When the job was completed i was once again shown pictures of the repairs. The entire process was handled in a very professional manner by each member of the Zoller team and I can't imagine ever calling anyone else for any roofing needs.

From initial bid to completion, Zoller Roofing was first-rate. Their initial bid specified materials in sufficient detail to confirm quality of products (e.g., GAF Timberline dimensional shingles) they proposed for project. Zoller followed National Roofing Contractors Assn. Roofing Manual standards meticulously and replaced all wood decking that was damaged by prior moisture. They applied Secondary Water Resistance (SWR) barrier throughout to create a Sealed Roof Deck. They also installed tapered insulation on the flat roof deck to create enough pitch to minimize pooling on the flat porch roof and strengthened the seal and joint between the shingled and flat roofs to address a problem area in the older roof they replaced. Zoller Roofing's workmanship was superb in every aspect and they kept me informed of progress throughout the project. They made special efforts to work with the insurance inspector to assure that he was able to document all required evidence of anchoring and SWR protection to meet the Wind Mitigation and related insurance specifications. I write the IL Roofing Contractors Licensure Examinations so I am familiar with roofing industry standards and practices. Zoller Roofing performed exceptionally well from the time of initial bidding through project completion and documentation. I asked for comparable information from all bidders. Zoller met all of these requests without prompting, accurately predicted areas that could increase costs such as deck repairs from prior moisture damage, presented the lowest bid and included optional improvements such as the tapered flat roof to minimize risks of future pooling and water damage. I recommend them without reservation to anyone who wants quality work at a fair price.

Someone (I think it might have been Nick) returned my call and asked what I needed. As I began to explain what I wanted, as soon as I mentioned it was a house that I was buying, he interrupted and began to complain about "real estate deals" and how he always got screwed on them due to giving estimates and never getting the work. I attempted to explain several times that I wasn't doing a "deal", but that I was buying the house to live in and I needed the roof repaired or replaced. Several times more he interrupted me and continued complaining about how he never made any money quoting on real estate deals. After a few minutes of this, I told him never mind and hung up. This guy basically talked himself out of a quote and possibly a job. Perhaps he's not as interested in getting work from Angie's List members as it would seem. Just make sure you don't mention anything about a real estate deal when you call him, or else you might not get a quote either. I've given him a D rather than an F because, despite behaving stupidly, he was relatively polite. Well, as polite as someone who misunderstands you and keeps interrupting you can be...

Working with Nick was a great experience. They were prompt and courteous and kept me in the loop even though I was 1000 miles away. My tenant says the roof is beautiful and has told me they will be getting a similar roof done in their home in Ohio after seeing how nice mine is. I think that it turned out okay. I had no troubles with scheduling. They did exactly what they said they would and told me that I had at least two years left with my current roof. However, two other companies later came by and took a look at my roof. They found a couple of spots that had been repaired. They also found there were a bunch of nails that should have been tapped down. I knew those nails were there last year because I had another company who had come out last year who had mentioned that there were nails that needed tapped down. I had expected that they would take care of this with the roof maintenance package. Other than that, they had been great.

The Zollar team works exceeding well together. They are quick, efficient, careful, friendly and considerate. They kept the site clean daily and finished the job in several days. I will hire them again when the flat roofs are due to be redone.

Excellent!! Very professional. Hard workers- rarely took a break, quiet, no loud talking or music, arrived on time each day, did not leave early. Courteous - all of the people we dealt with: front man, crew boss, workers. Everything that was in the contract was accomplished on time. Quality work!!

Found source of leak, removed damage parts of roof. Replaced wood. Added layers of seals and sealant. Replaced tiles. Roof is now water tight. Zoller did good work in a timely manner and stuck to the estimate.

Zoller Roofing did an excellent job. They told us it would take about a week to complete the roof and they were right on time. Our estimate included all insurance and licensing information for Zoller so we did not have to do additional research. Every night before they left, they picked up any trash or nails that were around the house or in the bushes. They took the time to play or pet our dog each day when he went out to greet them. Our roof looks great and would recommend them with an "A"! Thanks, Zoller, for a great job.

We had a small leak coming into our bathroom. We contacted a roofer through Angies List. He came out and told us the repair would be $2500 and we should replace our 11 year old roof because the roofer had done a bad job. We called two other roofers for estimates. Zoller Roofing arrived at exactly the appointed time. They determined the problem was with the vent pipe for the bathroom and fixed it right then. They also took care of a few small things they noticed. They said the roof installation was very well done and the roof should last for another 9 to 10 years. They charged their minimum fee. We are extremely pleased.

I got 4 bids from local roofing companies and Zollers, although not the least expensive, was the most impressive with their quote and the followup presentation. Their quote was laid out so you knew exactly what you were getting. And the presentation was realistic. Sean, who provided the est. and another man made the presentation. The "other man" answered most of my questions. When I asked if he was the foreman, I was surprised to find out he was the owner, Nick. Both men were very knowledgeable and made me feel comfortable with the protection of my property during the process. My wife and I wanted a reflective light tube installed in the master walk in closet. They priced this out and installed same during the installation. Bill, who was the foreman on the job, kept everything moving and on time. As a matter of fact, I was told that from start to finish, it'd take 8-10 days, not working on weekends, They completed the job in 5 days. Trying to choose the right color was a big deal for my wife and I. Zollers provided 6-8 shingle sample boards with a variety of colors. Both Sean and Nick were at the house at least once, if not more, each day making sure everything was going well. The roof has turned out great. We're extremely happy with how it turned out and with our relationship with Zollers. I would highly recommend them to anyone. And will use them again in the future.

They were communicative, used IPAD to show photos of problem areas. Nice people, got work done quickly, completely.
