WATERS SEPTIC TANK SVC

The septic tank inspection was passed by the inspector while the drainfield failed. The "senior" inspector came out later to give us an estimate for replacing the drainfield. We chose to get another quote. In getting another estimate the next inspector noted the septic tank had a problem. With us standing right there, he carefully dug around the outlet and unearthed a large visible hole in our septic tank. How that could have been overlooked by not one but two "professionals" from Waters Septic is totally unacceptable. Now we were looking at a full system replacement after having paid for what we thought was an expert inspection by a company that will tell you (over and over) how it prides itself on family integrity, experience, and reliability. When we brought this to the attention of Waters Septic, I was regaled with alarming stories about “those other companies” and how we were going to be ripped off. Never once did I hear an admission of error, an apology or any mention of refund for the incompetent inspection they did. Amazingly, had we known from the onset these problems existed, we wouldn’t feel so violated and deceived and Waters Septic would most likely have gotten the entire job. We have had the entire system (tank and leach field with permits) replaced quickly, professionally by another company, and for a cost close to the estimate from Waters for just the leach field! I would have to say the Waters' employee that pumped the tank did a good job - quick, clean, and no damage to the driveway or area. If you just need a pump they are probably good. If you need to rely on an inspection (for your own peace of mind or for sale of property) I'd go elsewhere. Our experience was extremely disappointing and unprofessional. If not detected, it could have been an environmental and financial disaster.

During a storm, my septic tank became overwhelmed and my pump broke down. I can replace my own pump, but I needed the tank pumped & possible other repairs. After calling another septic company on this list, I didn't like what they had to say, so I called Waters. This is the most honest, friendly & helpful service company of any kind I have ever used. Not only did I get my tank pumped for 1/3 of the price the other company quoted as they said they were in "emergency mode" (sounded like post storm gouging to me), they gave me great tips on the pump repair I was doing myself as well as other pointers. I will be needing a major repair soon, and I will be making one phone call. Waters is now my "SEPTIC COMPANY FOR LIFE"!

I never got a call back on Sunday or any other day. When I called on 11/23(?) to find out why they failed to call to schedule, I was told again that distancewise I was a little farther than most of their customers to which I told them I would find someone else if this is a problem for them. They said it wasn't, even though they kept mentioning how far my house was from them. I pointed out that since they kept mentioning on the call how far I was, that we should just part ways. With that they reiterated what wonderful job they do and that they would get to me but it wouldn't be until after they returned from a trip. I was told they would return 12/18 and that they could get to me on 12/19. I told them that since I waited this long, there was no need to get to me the day after they get back from vacation with which they replied that it wouldn't be a problem. The did not show up on 12/19 as they said they would. I called twice on 12/19 to find out what was going on. The first time I called someone answered but they didn't say anything. The second time I left a voicemail and said that if they didn't want to do the job, just tell me. I have wasted a month dealing with this company and now I must wait another month before another company can get to me because of the holidays. If they spent less time telling me about how wonderful they are and used that time to drive to my house and perform the work, I probably wouldn't be typing this report and I probably would have found out about this wonderful work they kept telling me about. Very frustrating.

It went smooth. I used another company two years ago and was told my drainfield was no good and they tried to quote me $6500 plus when all it was was the plumbing pipes into the old tank. Waters just came right away without waiting did the job cleaned up and left all in nice clean order..

We had several estimates done by different companies. I had done a LOT of research on this ahead of time so that I knew if the companies try to sell some bs to me, as companies in construction or "technical" fields often do when they think they can get away with it when they deal with a female customer. Waters Septic Tank Service didn't try to pull anything nor did they claim that something needed to be done which wasn't necessary, and they had a fair price. They were also pleasant to deal with, and answered questions I had and explained everything to my satisfaction.
