When we purchased our house we were disappointed to learn that our garage doors were in terrible shape. This fact was not addressed by the home inspector and we had no idea we would have to have yet another unexpected expense. I placed a call to Mr. Voss on 7/22/13 to see if I could schedule an appointment to get an estimate for a repair or replacement. Mr. Voss agreed to meet with me the following day. Around 4:00 on the 22, however, Mr. Voss called to say that he had finished the job he was working on and could come right over if we were available. Mr. Voss surveyed the doors and spoke to my husband about options. Mr. Voss, very kindly, offered to repair the existing doors and said that the doors would probably last another year or so with the repair. We opted to go ahead and do the replacement. The doors were ordered and when received, installation was scheduled. The installed doors are beautiful, solid and quiet. Absolutely no problems, except for lack of knowledge on the user's part. I tried to follow the simple instruction on how to program security pin numbers into the two units and could not make it work. I called Mr. Voss and he returned and kindly programmed the units for me. I would recommend Tim Voss Garage Door Services to anyone who is looking for a fair, honest, professional organization that also offers incredible prices.

After the spring replacement, I thought the door was not properly balanced so he came back twice to make it right. As it turned out, the door was properly balanced. I offered to pay for the false services but he refused to take any money. He was almost $100 less than the nearest quote I got for the spring replacement.

They (Tim and his employee) came the day after I called and were right on time. (They probably would have come the same day if I needed it, but it wasn't necessary.) They worked quickly and efficiently and had no problem compensating for any issues they encountered. The material and labor were very reasonable, and they were hard-working and very professional. It seemed that I could trust them, so I took a chance and asked them if I needed new springs - They said I didn't. You won't always get that kind of honest response from a business/contractor. I was extremely pleased with everything. I will definitely call them again if necessary, and will recommend their services to friends.

Impressive. Tim responded within two hours. Very professional, price was great. He and his assistant also did a service and lubrication and general maintenance. I can't say enough good things. Well mannered, total knowledge of the business. He also put bearings in the new springs, something that was not done when I had them replaced 10 years ago..Bottom line - Go with Tim!

I called Tim Voss Garage Door Services on a Friday afternoon. Mr. Tim Voss himself answered the phone. (+1) I explained to him that I was going to purchase a garage door opener from Lowes, and asked if he could install it. Of course, he said yes. (+1) There was no opener installed on the garage door since we moved into the house (brand new). This was a full installation from scratch. The reason I wanted Tim to install it (as opposed to Lowes installation services) is because, I accidentally backed my SUV out of my garage with the door not all the way up. The door was bent severely and the wheels came off the rails. I was able to "bang" it back into place after the damage, but the door did not open and close as smoothly as it did before. I wanted someone to take a look at it before a GDO was put on it, because if the door was damaged somehow (even slightly), then potential damage could have been caused to the GDO. He understood all of what I was saying to him. (+1) I asked for an appointment on the following Monday at 1pm. He easily obliged my very specific request (+1), which I was pleased about since I didn't know if I would be able to get an appointment that quickly. On Monday, he showed up at 12:30pm (30 minutes early, which was a little surprising, but welcomed... this did not irritate me at all, I'm just mentioning it as an observation). We reviewed the damage together (+1), and he explained to me my options for corrective action (+1), the most expensive of which was only $50, and the least expensive of which was no cost. The total installation charge was $100. He was able to service my garage door and get it back into shape at no additional charge. (+1) The forms of payment that he accepts are cash and check only (no credit cards). (-1) I would always prefer a card, but that's just me. (This could be considered a big minus for some people.) I took him about 2 hours to do the job (including the fixes for the damage I caused). Overall, I am very pleased with the service I received from Tim Voss. I would highly recommend him to anyone. He knows what he's doing, and he's very friendly and makes you feel comfortable.

Not only did Mr. Voss arrive very quickly, he replaced my husband's garage door opener, as well as mine. On top of that we had found an outside digital opener over the weekend, which he installed, put in place and had working with our secret code in no time. (It comes in very handy when going out to walk the dogs) AND he also greased the track again for us. We couldn't ask for anything more from a service provider. It shows that he knows his stuff and enjoys what he does. I only wish he did other things and handy work around the house since he is so good I cannot say enough good things about his service except if you have an issue with your garage door opener don't hesitate to give Mr. Voss a call.

Mr. Voss arrived exactly on time, not only did he fix the broken spring, but greased the track that the lever follows. He also found the sensors which has been taped to the top of the light box and installed them as well (very important since we have dogs) at no charge. He as pleasant, informative and quick with out being rushed. We could not have asked for anything more while doing the work and and more pleasant attitude. Asked if we had any questions and took time to explain what he had done. All and all a great experience.

I searched and talked to a good number of potential service companies. All but one made a good impression on me. Got quotes from 550.00 to 1000.00 the high end was some fancier versions of what I ended up buying. Low end price for all things equal was about 750.00 on average. I called Tim Voos Company, a one man operation it appears, a good ol Ohio boy who has been doing this for decades. Very knowledgeable, very honest - friendly, clean and on time. Did the job for at least 25% less then the others and then some, such as fine tuning the rails, lubricating and adjusting everything perfectly, worked three hours to install two 1/2 HP Chamberlain units. Lower overhead pays off I guess. Great job at a very fair price. signed a very happy customer

The garage door works perfectly now. We called that morning and he gave us an estimate over the phone and actually came that afternoon to fix it. He was really professional and he did it in a timely manner. We were very pleased. He was reliable and honest. It was definitely a fair price and he was quick. We would definitely use him again.
