He did a great job, was very professional and thorough. Responded quickly to my initial contact. Showed up early for the appointment, and after doing an assessment, he explained everything in detail and the cost before he performed any work and made sure I was okay with that. Very personable man and true professional. I would definitely recommend him and use him again.

I had previously contacted another door company to get a estimate on garage door repair. They responded, looked at my door, said it was not good. then commenced to try tosell me a new door and opener with a price of over $3000. (More then I wanted to spend on a door) After thinking it over I decided to call another Garage door contractor. I looked over the providers on Angie's List and found Tim Voss GDS. I called and made a appointment for the next day at a time that was convenient for me. He arrived the next day right on time. We went over the problem with my door, I told him what my concerns were, and asked if the door could be fix and operate in a safe manner. He assured me that he could replace the parts needed to make the door operate properly. He told me what parts would be replaced and the cost for the complete job. Satisfied the job would be done right, I instructed him to do the work. He finished the job in about 2 hours, he explained what he was doing and why. Not only did he do the work required, but also check all the hinges, bolts, fixed the door opener attachment point on the door, lubricated all moving parts, adjusted the opener, and made sure the was operating both properly and safely. Highly recommend Tim for his excellent work. I wish all contractor I deal with had the same work and professional ethics as Tim Voss.

After he finished his tune up and took the time to check our remotes, he explained all that he did as well as the condition of my 10 year old garage door opener. I have every confidence in referring him to my friends and family.

Tim arrived on time and proceeded to repair the door. He did a good job and told me what the bill would be. I told him that I had seen a discount offer on Angie's List and I wanted to apply that to my bill. He made some excuse why he couldn't give me the discount so I had to pay the full price.

Tim came out on-time and was very professional. I showed him how the unit had broken and he was quickly able to get that up and running. In addition I have an old keypad which he was able to help me reset as well. On the way out he also checked the balance of the door and did an overall lubrication of the components. Everything went very well and we will be using him again in the future if we need further service

I purchased a deal from this company for a garage door tune-up. Tim was right on time for his appointment, and was professional the entire time. He went right to work to replace the rollers, and finished in a timely fashion. He was very informative about the condition of my door, and my opener unit regarding its current condition and how much longer I most likely would have use of them. By being upfront about what needed doing, what needed repairing and didn't, it was very easy to trust his opinion. I will gladly use him again in the future.

Just moved to Sarasota area last week and had no referrals to go on. Garage doors wouldn't close, doesn't it always happen right after you move in and after all inspections cleared everything? :-( I had a warranty policy and requested a repair at 8 in the morning, at 10:30 AM the vendor responded and said can make it in 5 DAYS!. Unacceptable decided to search on angie's List and called Tim, left a message and in an hour called back and said he could be there in an hour and he showed up on time as promised. Tested everything said a possible fix was to replace a part but with the unit 14 years old, i asked him to replace the motor. He spent an hour and a half on the job and also replaced all the rollers at no charge. This is one service provider I'd give an A++ to.

My husband had contacted another garage door company to fix our problems which included vehicle remotes that weren't working and a keyless pad outside of the garage door that wasn't working. After about an hour of trying to fix our problems the technician said our problems were beyond his expertise. I immediately went on Angie's List and after reviewing several companies selected Tim Voss. During our conversation he said it sounded like the circuit board in the main box needed replacing and he gave me an estimate on how much that would cost. I scheduled an appointment with him and he arrived on time. Tim methodically went through various scenarios to find our problem. It was the circuit board as he suspected. He fixed it and reprogrammed our vehicle remotes. We asked him to replace the keyless pad outside of the garage door instead of reprogramming it; it was difficult to work with and required an intricate process to reprogram. He did that for us and when the job was finished went an extra mile by lubing our door tracks so that it opened and closed as smooth as silk. Tim was professional and personable and he gave us a fair price for the job. We'd highly recommend him to anyone!

Tim, the owner, showed up right on schedule and did a great job getting 2 garage doors on a house we just purchased up to par after they have not been used for some time. They were transformed from very noisy, almost violent, operation to smooth and much, much quieter. Tim is a high quality service provider who clearly cares about the work he performs.

Everything was great. Tim was there a little early and got right to work. The entire process only took about an hour. He stated service would likely not need to be done again for another 2 years. Only real issue that could occur would be the spring failing but at this time it looked good.

Purchase was for a recently purchased condo with original garage door opener (1983) that was making way more noise than I though normal or reasonable. Package included maint. new rollers and full check of opener mechanism. As I feared, Tim concluded the mechanism was about to eat it's own innards so I agreed to replace. Tim installed the next morning for a very reasonable price. He was prompt, polite, worked quickly and efficiently. I was completely satisfied with his work and his demeanor, and would not hesitate to recommend him to friends & family.

Very responsive. Called on a Sunday, Tim answered and came for an appointment on Monday. He found the problem, fixed it and checked out the rest of our system to make sure all parts oiled and working correctly. Had one glitch a few days later in that garage door would not stay closed. We called Tim and he was here in under an hour to readjust a setting. All working well since that time. Tim and his associate were very professional and did an excellent job in a timely fashion. Will continue to use for any garage door issues in the future.

They came in, were very knowledgeable, no- nonsense, and did their work at the price quoted. He told me the garage door rings didn't need replacing and were in fact top of the line. Door has been great ever since.

Tim arrived with a helper at EXACTLY the appointment time ! I have atomic synchronized clocks in my home and Tim arrived just as the second hand signaled 9:30AM ! That's an automatic "A++" for punctuality. They got right to work. 1) Assessed the condition of my door and equipment, and found no additional problems other than the springs being out of adjustment as I had suspected. Tim noted that it is typical for him to find broken hinges, frayed cables, and lack of roller lube contributing to what appeared to be a need for spring adjustment. 2) Spent a few minutes making a few recommendations regarding lubrication of the door, and things to watch for in the future. 3) Before leaving he noticed a slight bend in the bottom panel of my door (probably caused by the previous owner hitting it with their car). Tim was able to straighten it with some shoulder power (no charge). $50.00 was the total charge .... as we had agreed on the phone. Tim and his assistant were professional, easy to talk to. They get my personal recommendation for anyone needing garage door service. I also like the fact that when you call Tim Voss Garage Door Service, LLC, you talk to Tim Voss himself, and in my case, Tim performed the service call.
