Service techs Alex and Josh called at 8:19am, saying that they were 30 minutes from arrival. They arrived 33 minutes later at 8:52. Both were well groomed and personable. They went right to work. It was apparent that Josh was with Alex as a "trainee". Josh performed most of the work under Alex's direction. Alex explained what was being done at virtually every step and answered any questions that I had. The system checked out at or better than factory specification. The only potential issue found was the outdoor fan capacitor. It measured 6.0uf, and should have been 7.5uf (20% low). Alex decided that it should be replaced now before it failed. The replacement was covered under warranty. The guys were organized and well equipped. They would use a tool and immediately return it to its proper storage position. It was apparent that they were trained to pay attention to small details. I was impressed by these same traits exhibited by the crew that installed the system 20 months ago. I think Sean McCuthcheon screens his employees well and then makes sure that they are properly trained. They guys left after cleaning up the jobsite at about 10:10am.

My house has 2 zones. Everything worked, but units were 18 years old and all rusted out. I wanted to get new A/C before the heat set in, and with the age of my units, it seemed time to replace it all. I got 3 bids from good companies. I chose Sean McCutcheon as the price was in line with the others, and they were a local Sarasota company that helps out in the community. They had 2 crews out, and everything was done in one day. The guys were great - nice guys, and knew what they were doing. Everything worked great. I played around with all the features of the cool wifi thermostats, and found one minor function was not working as it should. Long story short, JC and Nick talked to Bryant, and Nick came out and replaced both thermostats, which fixed the minor thing. Nice service for a very insignificant issue. The county inspector that came a week post-install saw the Sean McCutcheon name on the equipment, and noted it was highly unlikely he would find anything, as they have a very good reputation for quality work. Great company and people!

Sean McCutcheon's Air Conditioning and Heating, Inc. installed a new high efficiency system and all new duct work almost 4 years ago, After the second year I signed up for a maintenance agreement. They come out twice a year and make sure the system is operating at peak efficiency. The AC system is working as well as the day it was installed. Always very impressed with their work, attention to detail, and their professionalism! I recommend them to friends, family, and neighbors - they are the only AC company anyone in the Sarasota area should be using!

I've had good experiences with him. He is on time, and one of the best technicians I've seen.

We got three estimates, McCutcheon was the only one that actually looked to see if compressor was under warranty. Compressor was under warranty. They replace compressor rather than replacing whole AC unit and saved us about $2000. Great friendly service!

Sean McCutcheon's delivered on everything called for in the contract and more. I will be using them for system maintenance because they have earned my trust. They left my garage which was there staging area for the equipment storage and workplace neater than when they appeared for the job. I should have them in just to clean my garage! They took the time to explain what they were doing at various stages of the job and explained the system upon completing the project. It was a super neat install with great attention to detail. Their personnel was professional and courteous. Sean McCutcheon is A1 with me and they install top quality systems. I would not hesitate to use them if you are faced with Heating and Cooling needs. They NEVER replaced the hepa filter. Had many reasons why they never followed through.

We have been using this company since 2007 after trying a few other companies. Sean McCutcheon's AC stands out above the rest. They are very professional -- from the way they answer the phone, to the way they arrive on time, to the way they come dressed, and throughout the entire service call. They go the extra mile and explain everything. They know what they are doing. If something is wrong, they fix it. If not, they leave it alone. We are on a regular yearly maintenance contract with them, which also qualifies us for a discount in case anything goes wrong and needs repair during the year. Their prices are reasonable and they call when it's time to schedule the check ups. When they finish, they provide you with a detailed status report explaining your system. They don't rush you and they answer your questions thoroughly. They are a growing company, and hopefully, as they get larger, they will continue to maintain the same high standards. So far, that has been the case.

As always- courtesies, used foot covers, always calls to verify on their way, knowledgeable, prompt with apt window. They installed a state of art HEPA type system in 2011 and we bought their maintenance contract. The service in infallible. Todays systems are built poorly, not the fault of this company, they do their best to recommend good products and fully stand by any product failures. We have had 2 so far- all labor free and prompt, last part was $90 in 2012. No better HVAC installer or service company in Sarasota.

The three man crew arrived on schedule around 9am and got right to work. All three were polite and easy to talk to. Two of the three have worked for Sean McCutcheon's for years and were obviously very experienced in the trade. The third member of the crew was relatively new to the company... consequently, he got to spend most of his time in the hot attic. The team worked well together. They left a clean worksite, and finished the job by about 4:30PM. I don't often give out glowing reviews, but without exception, the employees of Sean McCutcheon's all "sing the same song" that tells me a lot about their work ethic and the apparent ethics of the owner (whom I've never met). I recommend Sean McCutcheon's A/C to anyone needing A/C system replacement.

THIS IS A MUST READ EXPERIENCE! We called another AC company since our AC was not cooling. Their technician insisted that the compressor had to be replaced which would cost at least $1,800, or they could replace the entire AC system for $4,500. We then called Sean McCutcheon's later that day (after business hours) to get a second opinion. Their tech arrived that evening, reconnected the wires the other company's tech left disconnected and fixed the problem for about $30 in parts. Sean McCutcheon's tech was very courteous, professional and most importantly honest.

Very happy and cool!They showed up when promised, removed the old unit, and replaced with the new. they had all the paperwork and permits ready and attached them to the unit, clearly labeled for future reference. I thought this was an outstanding touch. This unit is much quieter that the last unit. I am very happy and cool!

Called in early afternoon when I noticed the temperature in my home slowly rising with a/c running. Received a call from technician approximately two hours later saying he would be arriving in about 25 minutes (it was closer to 15). Stephen came in and checked thermostat and asked a few questions. We went outside and within minutes he discovered a disconnected wire which he quickly fixed. He explained what had happened and answered all my questions. He was very personable, knowledgable, and very good at explaining my unit as well as the benefits of regular maintenance without trying to up-sell services. He treated the service call as a simple problem with a simple - and very reasonably-priced fix. I usually anticipate huge problems and huge bills with any kind of home service - Sean McCutcheon Heating & Air definitely proves honest and straight-forward businesses are out there and deserve our trust. Recommended highly without a doubt!

inspected my a/c system, found the problem, actually had the part on the truck and fixed my compressor. Mike, the technician who fixed my a/c, did the job in the rain so he could get it done that day. I had houseguests and he did an exceptional job of getting my home cooled down. Based on my experience, I would highly recommend this company; folks in the office were great as well.

Everything went according to our expectations.

They were very responsive. I called in the afternoon and they added me to the schedule for the same day. The technician called beforehand to walk me through some self-diagnosis to make sure that it wasn't something I could fix without a service call. I appreciated that very much. He diagnosed a clogged drain over the phone, which I tried to clear, but I didn't have the right equipment to properly clear it. (The clog was triggering a safety mechanism that was making the AC turn off ) He arrived around 7pm and properly flushed the badly clogged drain outside, added sanitizer, did another check on the system and replaced a capacitor that was not functioning properly.. The service call and parts totaled $180. He did not charge me any "after hours" or emergency rates even though the call lasted well into the evening. I asked him about their annual service plan where they come twice a year to inspect and tune-up the A/C & heating system and he explained it fully. Absolutely no hard sell. I signed up for this service, which was $140 for the year. It also gives you 15% discount on any needed repairs. He applied the discount to that day's service call, which I didn't know he was going to do before I bought the plan - added bonus!! Overall I was very impressed with the technician. He was very courteous, explaining everything fully. I definitely think the service was well worth the charge and will continue to use Sean McCutcheon's in the future and recommend his company.

I first called them, soon after moving into our 30 yr old house, when the A/C began to fail. A tech showed up quickly and solved the problem at a reasonable cost. Since then, we have paid for a yearly maintenance agreement which includes periodic cleaning, inspections and maintenance of our older HVAC system. I have been very happy with the fast response, professionalism and expertise of the techs performing the work. Also, no one has attempted to 'sell' anything to us which is much appreciated.

Very knowledgeable about product line, listened to our needs and offered choices. The company gave us detailed information about what the job entails. They spent 3+ hours with us over 2 days, including one home visit and did not pressure us in any way to accept their products. They were able to schedule us within the week. Workers arrived on time, wore cover shoes, cleaned up after themselves and completed the project in 2 days on schedule. They went over every aspect on how to run and maintain the system. They called within 72 hours to see if we had any questions. They called 10 days later to again follow-up and make sure everything was running OK and that we had no questions. Everyone was courteous, professional, knowledgeable and worked as a team. There was one unexpected problem with the roof line making it impossible to install a return air flow vent in one agreed-upon location. The worker presented us with an alternate location that worked very well for that room. He was extremely conscientious about centering every vent and making sure that each one visually blended into the background of the ceiling. We received a maintenance appointment for 6 months later. The person called the day before to confirm that we expected him. He arrived on time and did an outside and indoor inspection and cleaning. We received a detailed copy of his inspection report. He did not have the upgraded air purifier filter so he had to order one from the office and returned 3 days later to put that in. He made a note of that in his records so that he would have the correct filter at the next 6 mo visit.
