The install techs were excellent and did high quality work. As stated above, the price wasn't the cheapest but the job was done right and with good quality equipment.

I love the service and quality of the technicians that come to service the AC unit. I have a maintenance agreement which provides 2 services per year and a 15% discount on any parts for $140.00 per year. I never worry about my AC not working and that's very important given we are only in Florida 5 months of the year. I don't feel like I'm being overcharged or underserved...I highly recommend Sean McCutcheon's AC & Heating. You will not be disappointed.

They showed up right on time, went right to work but worked carefully and efficiently until late afternoon. When I asked about the duct work, they said they connected a completely new duct from the main selector box and the air would now come directly into the room where before it was off the side of the master bedroom ducting. It is now so much cooler in that room. The new system is quieter and more efficient than the last and we're so much happier. The price they quoted was right within our budget and right for the size of our house. They didn't try to oversell us, that was nice. We had two other quotes much higher and since we had McCutcheon's do our mother's house, which was larger and needed the system replaced right in the middle of summer on short notice, we were confident we made the right decision.

They responded to my call promptly. They arrived on time. They let me know who was coming ahead of time. They did a thorough and professional job and the price was reasonable. The excellent workers took about 45 minutes for service to be completed.

Overall, I was happy with McCutcheon's and would hire again, but would probably not use another discounted service because I'm not sure I got the same quality of service as I would have if I paid full price. See below for explanation. Got a $25 discount via Angies's List. It took several days to schedule (probably because lots of others were also taking advantage of the discount), but once the appointment was set, the young woman came on time and did the work, although no filter was replaced as specified in the list of services to be done. (I hadn't realized it until she left. Luckily, I had my own, so I replace the 3 after she left -- they were REALLY dirty and may have been the reason some of her readings were high on how hard the system seemed to be working and drawing amps.) My system has been running perfectly for the past 9 years, but because it is past its expected life, she "failed" the system (literally gave it an "F" and pushed for me to replace it. (I got a similar report from a different firm 3 years ago, and like then, I'm not inclined to spend the money for a new system until it stops working or at least has some problems.) But I did take her up on getting a free estimate done, and their price for a full new system is significantly lower than two of my neighbors who used other firms to replace theirs in the past few weeks. I really liked the guy who came to give the estimate, and he offered to change the filters for me, but I had already done it. So if my system does need replacing any time soon, I will likely use McCutcheon's. But this is the second time I've used a discounted service for this type of work, and I'm finding that for that price, they do more "inspecting" than they do "tuning up." It seems like you are basically paying them to market a new system to you. I think in future, I will just pay full price to have them focus on the tune-up. (Neither this firm nor the other with the discount changed air filters or sprayed the outside unit to clean it, when all previous full-price tune-ups did so. Not sure if there were any other steps skipped.)

I called on Tuesday, July 5 to get an estimate for a new heat pump package, hopefully, that day. An estimator went out that morning and had three (3) estimates on different grade packages emailed to me by 12:45 p.m. We picked out the package we wanted, and the estimator, Greg, ordered all the materials that same afternoon, with a promise to have installers there first thing Thursday, July 7. I got a call on the 7th at 7:40 from the installers telling me they were there getting underway. Mid-afternoon I received a call from the installers informing my unit was installed and running. They set the temperature and the humidity I desired on the Housewise Thermostat, letting me know the unit had already lowered the temperature and humidity several degrees and percentile points. As I did my part while in Ohio, I asked my friend and neighbor to check on the work for me (he had recommended them to me,as he had them install a system several years back). He sent me pictures of the various units installed later that afternoon, and the reading on the thermostat. It looked great, and the temperature and humidity were already down to the desired settings. NOTE: I did not get any other estimates from other providers, as my unit had been out for several days, and Sean and his people came highly recommended by neighbors and Angie's list reviewers. I needed to be able to trust whomever would do the install, as I wasn't going to be there. Talk about running on faith! At this time, they have lived up to their glowing reviews for installation

The new A/C is working great, cold as can be.And I have signed a maintenance contract them going forward. My old company that I was with for 9 years quoted me a thousand dollars more to do the same job.

Sean McCutcheon's HVAC had the distinction of being the only 1 of 3 different AC service firms (all of them on Angie's List) whose technician was able to correctly diagnose and then repair a defective TXV for a total cost under $750 vs others who insisted a new system was needed for $12,000- $14,000! In all three cases, I watched as each tech went about his tasks. McCutcheon's tech was the last one to inspect and clean the system (in a 3 month interval) yet he spent more time diong it than the other two combined when theoretically there should have been hardly anything at all to clean. Amazingly, he cleaned the areas behind the shrouds as he took them off whereas no one else did. He was just as thorough on everything else he did. I never told him what the other two firms had recommended, just that the system did not cool properly, and esp on really hot days. Watching him work with his gauges to determine any problems was eye-opening. It was no 5 min quickie. He reminded me of a surgeon carefully looking for a nicked artery. I could hardly believe it when he said that he found a defective TXV valve that needed to be replaced. Not a single word about needing a new system. The beauty of this company's philosophy is that the tech who diagnoses the problem and recommends a repair is also the one who has to make the repairs. I gave him the go ahead and the repair was made 2 days later. The system has been running perfectly ever since. The tech saved me $14,000. I was never so happy to pay a AC service bill. Mike Hanrahan is the name of the SUPER Tech who is beyond compare in my experience when it comes to being honest & knowledgeable about AC system repair. Sean McCutcheon will be my only AC service supplier as long as he has Mike or someone close to his level. There's no question who will get the contrac tto replace our AC system when it really is necessary.

Estimator had no idea of what he was doing.

The occupant of the townhouse said the air conditioner was making noise and it was not cooling very well. She had investigated the symptoms on the internet and thought it might be a clogged condensate line. Angie's List offered a special through SEam McCuthen's to perform an HVAC tune up for $75. I called McCutchens and asked if it included cleaning the condensate line. They said it did. The occupant had some limitations on when she was available so I called to make sure they understood the limitations and when they would be able to come out. They said they would come out the next day and call first. They did call but did not connect with the occupant. The details get hazy here but at some point on Wednesday they called me and told me they had talked with the occupant and that they could not fix anything on a tune up call because the person doing the tune ups was not qualified to perform repairs. I agreed to let them send out a technician who cleaned out the line and got the AC working. Despite the miscommunication they were very professional and performed the work required.

I chose this deal because I hired McCutcheon's to replace the A/C at my work and had an excellent experience with them. The prices seemed fair, they were prompt and worked quickly. When I tried to schedule my appointment for the maintenance deal on my own home I relayed to the scheduler that we had been experiencing some leaking with our A/C and would also need a quote for repairs and possibly replacing our unit. The scheduler initially refused to schedule our service stating that we would need to schedule a repair appointment instead, which came with a hefty initial fee just to get the technician to our home. I again, explained, that I was not looking for any repairs but I wanted to complete the maintenance deal from their company before we made any decisions. I also wanted more information about our unit, such as how much life we had left in it. I was also hoping that a maintenance would help with some of the problems we were experiencing as they unit had not been maintenance well by the prior home owners. She continued to refuse to schedule my appointment until I asked to speak to a manager. Then, I was told I would have to wait several weeks for an appointment. I understand that the summer is a busy time, but 3 weeks! I requested a refund, and suddenly an appointment in two days became available. Once the technician arrived, he was very pleasant and performed what I expected. He gave us a little insight on the unit and then told us that someone would contact us regarding a quote. We never heard back from the company. I will not use this company again.

This company has the best customer service. I called around 3:30pm as a new customer and the job was completed by 5:30pm on a Friday afternoon—Amazing! I'm very pleased with the level of service provided by both the office (Kayla) and also the service professional (Josh). I will absolutely be hiring this company again and will request Josh. He was wonderful. Josh called me 40 mins prior to his arrival as requested, arrived exactly on-time, was very professional, and completed the job quickly. Good work!

Needed a Coil replaced that was under warranty. Cool Today came out and said it would cost $1200. I looked it up online and discovered that it would only take an hour or 2 max to do this. I called Sean's service and they sent out Mike. He looked at it and confirmed it needed to be replaced and said he could do it in under 2 hours. He also performed a lot of much needed TLC on our unit. Excellent job and I will be going back to Seans service for all my A/C needs in the future.
