Precision Overhead Garage Door Service

Arrived on time. Performed repairs quickly. Quoted options clearly. Personable.

Repairman told me there was a choice of springs. The higher cost springs were $400 for the pair, about $70 more than the other option. He told me there was no better spring, thus the high cost. I believed him and had the repair completed. Unfortunately, I had not researched cost of springs. Later I looked up the price for similar springs, in average less than $100 per pair. I complained to Precision about the high cost. They told me they were the only company that offered these springs, thus the cost could not be compared to anything that could be bought elsewhere. I believe this is a lie and I was the victim of a scam. This company preys on elderly, trusting people; they should be held accountable. When I first contacted Precision I asked for an estimate. They would not provide an estimate without coming out to my house, which included a $30 service charge. Had they given me an estimate I would have realized a need for shopping around. At my house, with a broken garage door and a little pressure from the repairman, I was an easy mark.

The tech called an hour prior to arrival and had the necessary parts with him. He went over the scope of work and answered all questions clearly. The work was performed quickly. I wish dealing with contractors was always this easy.

They cannot be trusted to honor their appointments.

A little expensive, but effective

After completing installation, technician "Will" promised to return to complete phone app to insure garage door would close. Also agreed to install laser that helped park car properly. Sent new guy to complete detail items. The exp. was horrible. Nothing got completed.

Called in the late morning that our main garage door wouldn't open and was making loud noises. They were able to send out a technician later the same day. After inspection he showed me how the spring was not working properly and was putting so much strain on the motor that a part on it finally broke. Gave us several options - repairing the parts on the motor and putting new springs on door versus installing new motor. Since our opener was 15 years old we elected to get a new motor and had all the relevant parts on that door replaced. Had him check our smaller door - it was also unbalanced. Elected to have him replace the spring and main bearing on that door but retained the motor and the remainder of the parts as this door is only used sparingly. The technician was very thorough and took time to explain exactly what he was looking for during the inspection process and then presented several options for repair. He was unfailingly polite and friendly. We were very confident that he was quite knowledgeable and did good repair work. All of the work has an extensive warranty with it and we won't hesitate to call them back for any future work. The technician was named Frank - he also did a good job of cleaning up afterwards and helped me reset the homelink transmitter on our cars. I would highly recommend this company.

Purchased the coupon for $125 that.included tune up & replacing rollers. Feel a bit of buyer's remorse since the real problem was the trolley which we had to pay an extra $150 for. Joseph was nice enough & he did arrive early. Did appreciate the same day service but feel overcharged. He lubricated the springs & other moving parts & did answer any questions we had. Overall a good service.

Excellent. Service man was on time, very professional, friendly, helpful, explained all he did, and cleaned up after his work. He was knowledgeable of the Angie's List coupon and special promos and made sure they were included for my benefit. He advised us of the parts of the garage door that need to be replaced, how much it would cost, an order of priority if it was all too much at once , and said his price would be available for a certain length of time (30 daysI think), so there was NO PRESSURE to decide right now......

Precision came over same day. The tech was very nice, garage door working perfectly now. I would definitely recommend precision due to their quick response time and competency

They were very professional. Ben was very professional. He served the bid around twenty minutes. I could not have a better experience than that. But again they have not installed it yet so I will give another review once the work is done. They will be here in three weeks because the garage door that we ordered has a drop in it so takes a while to order that.

Keith Allen arrived right on time and with a smile. He impressed both my wife and me with his professional yet friendly demeanor. He went right to work. He throughly checked out the system after listening to our statements concerning the symptoms. He came up with two solutions. He could replace the entire system for a reasonable price or fix what appeared to be the problem. We opted to have the "eyes" replaced. He quickly completed the job, then checked our other garage drawer make sure it had no problems. He suggested the best product to use to lubricate the working parts. We were very impressed with all aspects of Mr. Allen's work and the response of Precision Overhead Garage Door Service. Finally, we were impressed that we received an email a couple days before the service was due giving us a picture of Mr. Allen and previous reviews of his work. This was just a professional operation from beginning to end.

After having locked myself out of the house and paying a locksmith $200, I knew I needed a better alternative. I had purchased a Big Deal some time ago for a keyless garage door opener, so I called Precision Door, and they sent someone out the very same day. The technician arrived within the scheduled time and promptly and efficiently installed the opener. It works perfectly, and I would definitely use Precision again for any garage door needs.

Called Estero based company in listing. I got a guy out of P**** Gorde. He said springs were snaked which meant they were not going to last. I said they would unsnake when springs were adjusted and that house was only 6 years old. He charged $200 per spring (2) and $100 for a bearing plus labor and $100 for aluminum bracket. I found similar bracket for $4 for 2 on Amazon. Bill was $710 . Make your own judgement. Have your guard up when dealing with this guy Joshua. Friendly demeanor. Has all the answers from training on how to steer you into what you may or may not need.

If your a landlord and sending them out to a tenants residence, you may be left in the dark as to what they did. I had to personally go to the tenants house to see that they did as advertised. I don't live in the same state, as my rental property. I asked them to call me directly if they found any other problems that needed to be corrected, but I did not receive any phone calls. They need to work on their communication. Other than that, they did the work and the garage door seems to work a lot smoother now, so I'm satisfied with the work. Will use again, but I will be more direct with them about contacting me to keep me informed about the condition of the garage door.

The two young men were extremely clean cut and professional. It was a small job. They did recommend a few other improvements to the door, which I declined but will definitely have done another time. They explained everything very well and answered all my questions.

I asked for replacement "clickers" and bought two clickers. I did not check prices with other companies until the work was completed. They draw you in with the $125 offer, but it takes about $400 to bring a 15 yr old garage door up to standards. The clickers with other companies, when I checked, after I paid for the work, were each $20 less expensive. The clickers are nothing special that I bought from this company. Over-priced. I complained to the company about being overcharged and they did not want to hear about it. They knew I needed new ones so hit me with a high price. Gimmick to get themselves in your home to do the work and then overcharge for parts to bring everything up to speed. Lesson: check around for all parts prices before you hire.

Sales cycle was far above the other 3 proposals. Special order door arrive and installed timely. Sent a single installer and took 4+ hours. Two guys cold have installed in much less than 1/2 the time. Poor clean up after with many sharp objects such as screws left on the garage floor. Works as advertised and I would use again.

I was very satisfied with the work performed. The technicians were professional and on-time. I was a little surprised at the high price but I'm not sure of the going rate for the services I had performed. Services were performed at two homes.

The job went well and the tech was excellent. What didn't go well was when I called to make the service request I informed them that I had specifically selected them as a result of a search on Angie's list. ( I expected they would not charge a service charge as stated in their advertising). This did not happen. I called them after service to ask about the billing. I was informed a manager would have to be consulted with. End of story, no call back, I wrote it off.
