Description of Work: I called about a problem that I was having and to make an appointment. After speaking with some woman, I was told that there would be no charge to come out to give me an estimate. Well it turns out that there is no charge unless you do not like their estimate and then there is a $45.00 charge. That should have been made plain up front. The more I thought about what she said I called back to ask and sure enough they would have charge me $45.00 if I did not use their services. I cancelled the appointment.

Description of Work: They did not do the service because they said I needed a new door and for me to contact Angie's list for a refund, Precision tech- Micheal Boyle, he was very nice and sent me a estimate within an hour.

Description of Work: Adjusted the chain to eliminate chatter, lubricated the main spring, hinges, etc. Replaced the rollers after I showed him my Angie's list printout and called his supervisor to make sure the price was right! Actually, I have seen the same service on your list for as low as $89! He spent ~40 minutes doing my garage door system.

Description of Work: Ben came and installed the Angie's List Roller Package for $100.00. Ben then convinced me that I needed to replace the overhead door spring saying it had weakened. He installed a smaller spring than had been provided by my upgrade service provider who had installed a complete upgrade for my garage door for hurricane protection. He charged $600.00 for the installation of the small spring. He also charged me $100.00 for the roller package. The hurricane protection package from the upgrade included 8 struts, 6 hinges, 10 rollers 2 tossbon springs and 2 Jamb brackets that were installed on 10/06/08. That service was excellent and the price was very reasonable. Ben also charged me more than twice what I paid for the complete hurricane upgrade service and installed a much smaller spring. The original larger spring was provided by the original upgrade service to handle the increased weight on the door after they had installed all the crossbars on the garage door in the hurricane protection upgrade. I believe Ben supplied substandard material for twice the cost. I don't believe I was well served by their high regard on Angie's list. I believe the roller package deal was just to sell a substandard upgrade at twice the cost. I had to get work done by third service because the upgrade Ben installed broke and stripped the motor guide for my garage door motor. The tech there said kindly that the added weight on the motor had caused the guide ridges to be stripped. He did an excellent job. I had two good service providers. However the one recommended by the package deal through Angie's list was substandard! |

Description of Work: Precision Door was terrific. They were able to accommodate same day service and went above and beyond expectations in their work. Although I had prepaid for service, the technician had me pay again on site. I didn't have my confirmation email handy to prove I had already paid. Due to moving and all the chaos surrounding the day, I paid again and thought I would work it out with Angie's List Big Deal for refund. Thank you.

Description of Work: They had repaired my garage door in the past and installed a new opener. Few months later I had issues with door going up. Called company, sent tech next day, made slight adjustment, works fine now. HIGHLY RECOMMEND !!
