Precision Overhead Garage Door Service

Johnny was very good, professional and created a very favorable impression. He looked out for the customer and represented his company very well. This experience is why I subscribed to Angie's list!

My garage door has been in service for over ten years and I was told by the technician that the way it was set up was not in code and that my opener will fail because of the way it was set up and that the tracks on the side of the door were not installed correctly. Also for $125! I could have a new seal at the bottom of my garage door. For a total price of $425 I could get everything fixed. The technician without asking me plastered my garage with not one but three business stickers in my garage. One at the entry door to my house, one on the motor of the opener and one on the garage door. I felt as if he was defacing my property for Overhead's marketing purposes. It would have been nice to be asked. I called another company to get another opinion and I was able to get all of the necessary work done for $113. I felt like I was being upsold for things that really did not need to be tampered with. What gave me the idea to get another opinion was the outrageous price for the seal at the bottom of my garage door.

Ben was right on time. He showed high professionalism and took the time to explain to us the weakness of our current system. We intend to change our garage door system in the future and there is no question that we will use this provider.

This was the first "big deal" I have purchased on Angie's List. The company called me within an hour of placing the order to set up an installation date and time. I could not be there but my partner oversaw the work. The technician called within the time frame we were given and arrived punctually. He had the keypad working within 20 minutes and explained that we might consider replacing the old springs on our garage door with rollers. He was not pushy about this and it is something we are considering. He was very polite and did an excellent job. We will use them in the future.

Mike showed up on time and was very professional. He explained every thing he was doing, made suggestions and worked quickly. I had purchased a Big Deal($89.00) and am very pleased. If I need any garage door work done I will definitely use them again.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. It was fine. I was charged $100 extra for the service.

It went well. They were very nice, timely.

He came to my home at 12 noon and left at 12:25p. He was pleasant person. I have an old garage door and I am not able to purchase a new door at this time. The technician replaced all the rollers and tuned and tightened springs. I asked some questions about replacement costs. Maybe in the future I will invest in a new garage door. But I am thankful for Angies List to help me seek professional workers that would allow me to choose their workmanship. It lasted about 20 minutes.

Tech came early went about his business and was finished promptly.

That was when I referred them to my sister-in-law and they showed up there as well and asked her if we were related because they recognized the name. So, we were very happy with them. They went and do the roller thing for her. We are both real estate agents and that was the house that she had listed. I had just used them to put the keypad in and she used them to take care of the door which was not closing correctly. It worked out very well. I called them and they were here on the next day. Within the week, they showed up and took care of my sister-in-law's problem too. It was great. They showed up when they were supposed to be here and did a great job. They were actually here a little bit early. We would use them again.

I contacted Precision Doors because my garage door was very noisy going up and down, and Angie's List sent out a special for the service. The serviceman was on time, efficient, very knowledgeable and did a first rate job. I am completely satisfied and would recommend their service unreservedly.

Bought a Groupon for Precision Overheard to check garage door operation and replace rollers if necessary. The technician showed up as promised and actually arrived early, after he called to see if it was convenient for me. Arriving early actually freed up my afternoon which I was please with. After replacing garage door rollers he also offered a key entry installed on the outside of the garage for a reasonable charge (which I did). I did not realize how much noise the garage door made when it was opened and closed until the new rollers was installed and what a difference it made. It is now as quite as a brand new door. I would recommend them to all my friends and certainly was used them myself in the future.

The service was fine, they weren't here too long and it was fine. They wanted to sell me a new spring for the garage door, but I didn't need it.They did a good job and did it as I had expected it. He was punctual, they scheduled pretty quickly and the price was great. I had purchased a big deal and that was a bargain price.

I did the Angie's Big Deal for 89. Company never called me. I had to call twice to get them to respond. Finally got ahold of them and get an appointment. Not sure I would do the Big Deal again unless I had a better idea of what it included. It seems somewhat like the Big Deal wasn't such a Big Deal and was primarily used as a way to upsell. Felt like I have felt in the past about car repair places that tell you this and that have to be fixed. The work was fairly good. Price was not cheap. Didn't appreciate the hard upsell. Prices on upsell high. Spent 99 extra to replace rubber on bottom of door. Not sure, but that seems a little high.

As promised, the technician called ahead during the appointed time and arrived to do the work at the appointed time. Technician was very professional and courteous, and even helped me - at no extra charge - with a small adjustment to the garage door that was not part of the original task. At my request, he made up a quote to replace the door should it need it in the future. Overall, a very positive experience and I would definitely use them again and recommend them to friends.

I did pay an extra $45 for parts. My doors were absolutely horrible. I have not had them worked on in 18 years. They did not rip me off and they did recommend things that I know I need. I am going definitely call them, because I thought that they were fair and they took care of me. They did not do the bait and switch. The work met my expectations and they did what they said they would and they gave me good, free advice for the future new door. When I told them that I did not want certain things done, they did not question me. I am doing other renovations in my house right now and do not have the money right now. They were good and fair. They were right on time. I will be using them again.

Precision Overhead Garage Door Service called me before I called them. He was very cordial, was very knowledgeable an efficient. I am very happy with the job.

We didn't pay anything more than the big deal however they did try to get us to pay more and with all the details on it they backed off. They did good I mean we got their card and everything if we have additional problems or any problems with the door we will feel comfortable giving them a call. Other than them trying to get us to pay more saying that the ad was a mistake we were happy with their service and what they did and they were fine. I would use them again in the future.

The primary reason for buying the service was to correct the sudden drop in range of our garage door remotes. I got no help in this area at all - other than a quote for a new "board" of $125. I can purchase a more powerful model of the opener that I currently have for $119.95 and get installation with an existing door opener for another $50. Obviously, had I known that fixing the one real problem with the door was going to cost more than a complete replacement of the existing unit I would have never taken the offer. The company did everything they said they would do, but they didn't solve my problem. Turns out that using a soda straw to insure that the antenna wire was straight completely solved the problem. I don't think trading $89.00 for a problem that was fixed with a free soda straw from McDonalds really is a good deal.

They were outstanding. There was a special on that. I think it was $89 to oil and lubricate. He is an excellent, nice young man. I had him come back a second time because I thought I heard a noise that I was not suppose to hear, and he said it was normal. He came out right away and adjusted it. I am very satisfied with those people.

The service was done professionally and promptly. The technician was very cordial. He indicated that there would be an extra charge ($60) above and beyond the value of the Angie's List coupon ($178) that I had purchased because my garage doors required 12 rollers each, instead of the 10 rollers covered by the coupon. I found that this was documented in the fine print when I went back and read it, so not a problem. The technician then determined that the torsion spring on the larger of the two garage doors was weak and should be replaced soon. Since he was already onsite, I told him to go ahead and replace it ($300). I was aware that my next door neighbor had to have the torsion spring replaced on his garage door when it broke the week prior. When I asked my neighbor how much he was charged for his spring replacement, he indicated $229.....and that included an emergency service call. Overall, I'm not sure I actually saved any money as a result of this Angie's List special coupon offer. As a result, I will be hesitant to take advantage of similar offers in the future.
