Precision Overhead Garage Door Service

It was excellent. He was quick and nice. He did a great job. We have no complaints. The door is quiet.

After purchase of the Angie's List special and reaching out to the company after several days of no contact, was advised that my location was outside their service area; I was advised to request a refund via Angie's List. Would be beneficial to include service area restrictions within the ad and prior to purchase/ wasted time waiting for a scheduling call. A more positive experience could have been realized had they provisioned the service purchased, as an exception, as the location was within 30 minutes of their company location.

Technician was knowledgeable and efficient. He replaced rollers as part of the tune-up and the garage door functions more quietly than before.

It went great. He was friendly and informative. Arrived when he said and did what he was supposed to do.

It was ok and the service went well.

The first visit he made recommendations for safety and further improvements without gouging me for unnecessary work. I couldn't afford the necessary repairs so he made my garage door functional until I could hire them back for the repair. Fast and fully stocked truck, no waiting for parts, etc. Professional, courteous and laid back.

I decided to pursue replacing the door and related equipment and this will occur in the spring 2014. The price of the Angie's List tune-up (@$85) will be credited at that time, as no work was performed. We need to clean out our garage before this project can be scheduled due to space needed for the new door installation.

1. Called at 8:30a to make repair appointment. Telephone answered quickly. Set-up an appointment for between 10:00a - 02:00p 2. Repair man (Johnny) arrived at 10:20a. Price quoted was $299 plus $30 service charge. Which I believe is high, but I needed to get my garage door spring repaired, and so I agreed to it. 3. Johnny completed the spring repair by 11:15. Also, he lubricated the garage door. 4. Received a 3 year warranty on the new steel spring Johnny was friendly and easy to deal with.

I was able to schedule an appointment with short notice and the technician called (because he was lost) so I knew he was on his way. I really appreciate when they call ahead of time. I wish I had done the rollers because I didn't realize the keypad took 4 minutes to install and I totally could've done that myself. He seemed nice though and did not pressure me to buy anything. What a relief. Said everything looked good and when it is time for a new garage door or parts, I will call this company again.

Tech was extremely friendly and had the job done in 15 minutes. Showed me how to use it and it was all set! Easy and worth every penny.

When we called they the dispatcher said it would cost 29.95 which was the service call price but we didn't know that. So he came and said he said he he needed someone to help him. Then he said it't would cost 300.00 just to put the door back and another 300.00 to replace the springs. We paid for them to have them put the door back only because we were in a predicament. We rent so we had to ask our landlord if he wanted the springs installed but he was already upset that we paid 300 just to put the door back. He felt, as we do, that we got ripped off. I mentioned that we found them on Angie's List and we should get a discount and they didn't give us one. This is my first time using Angie's List needless to say I'm very disappointed.

They were excellent. The guy called before he came out and I was very pleased with them. I have used them twice already.

I called because the door seemed to go up and not stop properly, and seemed a little heavy, needing probable spring adjusting. When diagnosing, the tech said the springs were at max capacity and needed replacing. He decided he could tighten one spring, which helped somehwhat. He also sprayed the rollers and drive mechanism, although I said I had just sprayed that prior to calling them. I asked if he would tighten the second spring, but he said they didn't like to do that. He found the switch that stops the door (from opening too far) was corroded and gave that a spray. It worked only once, then he said it needed replacing. The tech was nice and pleasant and said I needed a new stop switch and springs. I mentioned that I was to receive a discounted service call of $29.95, but he said I had received a "tune-up" which was an additional. I paid the bill but was disappointed. For a tune-up, the door was still "heavy"....I would have expected both springs to have been tightened, not just one. I took an emery board and in less than 60 seconds took the corrosion off the switch contacts, and now the door stops at the proper time. For $80.00, I felt I didn't receive good value. Prior to paying, I mentioned I was an Angie's list customer. No mention was made that they had a current coupon that I could have used to reduce the cost.

Set up a date and time and technician called before arriving on time.... Work completed in short time , tech cleaned up after and explained all the new openers functions. Even programmed my in- car opener which I was not looking forward to doing myself.

Purchased a package deal. First rep showed up and couldn't do the job without ordering a new part for the garage door. When the part came in, a second person came, did not replace the rollers which was what I had originally purchased for the deal. Had to have a third person comeback to change the rollers. They didn't seem to know what they were supposed to do or what had already been done. I'm not even sure the part that the first rep had to order was even needed.

Can't say enough good things about Precision Overhead Garage Door Service and their technician, Gaetano. I had to change the scheduled time of service on the same day because of an unscheduled doctor's appointment. They were very accommodating and worked around my needs. In fact, I no sooner got home and Gaetano was ringing my door bell, right on time. Gaetano did a complete inspection of the door before he even started, pointing out what he would replace, fix and lubricate. Then he started and he was fast and efficient; again explaining what he was doing and why as he went along. Easy to tell he was a pro and loved his work. Everything was completed including cleanup in about and hour.

Replaced existing garage door with impact-rated door in order to significantly reduce insurance premiums.

The garage door is stained on the outside from the lubricant they used. I will call them and have the door cleaned.

He performed a garage door tune-up with door roller replacements. The service was excellent!

While the company representative that arrived at my house was friendly, they provided an outrageous estimate to repair ($400-450) and almost had me convinced that I should have replaced my garage door (including various parts) due to age (approximately $700). This company will come prepared to complete garage door repairs during the same visit, but I would caution homewoners to do your homework and get several estimates before making a decision. I believe they attempted to take advantage of my inexperience and lack of knowledge of garage door repair. This company has advertising in several Home Magazines and also has positive ratings on various sources. I was fortunate to have a great neighbor that advised me that I was being taken advantage of, and provided a reputable, garage door repair company that responded quickly and completed the repair in less than 1 hour for $125. I would not recommend this company if you are in the position to shop around for the lowest, quality estimate. Thank you.

great, even when I phoned and said there was a problem, they were willing to come out and check with no additional cost. I found my garage eye moved when I swept garage floor. Jason was great at company.
