excellent work by Sam. fast worker, pleasant, answered all my questions patiently. Am going to hire him again to install a new kitchen faucet.

From the first conversation on the phone with John to the two techs who came out, this experience was enough to make me feel like I've got a new plumbing company. After two prior estimates for a complete re-pipe, Phillips came out and determined that I actually didn't need one at all. Why is this special? Because after showing me their complete process (all during a free-estimate procedure, by the way), I could see how easily someone else could have either overlooked information that indicated no-leak. Worse, I could see how easily someone could have allowed the slightest tap opening (anywhere in the system) to "confirm" a leak. Because our house would probably need a re-pipe, I'd have probably gone that direction. But, I saved a large sum of money instead, and now I have the chance to better plan for this eventuality. People like these guys deserve your business. I've been using Angie's List for several years now, and this is the best review I've written for anyone. It's the kind of review I'd like to read if I wanted to "be sure" of my choice. You can be sure.

These guys were great! I called them around 11am and they had everything finished up by 2:30 the same day. John came out and explained what he thought the issue was and gave me an estimate. The leak was in my front yard and water was coming up from my pavers. He dug up the paves and found a coupling that was leaking. He was going to replace the coupling but was unable to because the shutoff was not working at the meter. Luckily he was able to tighten it up and stop the leak. John was very professional. Gave me lots of info on what was needed and was all round great to deal with. I was worried that this was going to cost at least a few hundred dollars if not more but with the $30 pay in full coupon from Angies list, it was only $102!

I called and I got someone answering the phone I tried to get price for replacing a basic kitchen faucet to no avail. he said $88 for the first half hour and $44 something for each extra half hour but refused to give an approximate time required to do the job

There was a little confusion at the start with what the job was about and communication on getting a visit scheduled. After an initial phone conversation I was to receive a call from a Plumber to schedule time, this never occurred so i called back and we reset expectations on getting someone out to assess our issue. Once scheduled the Plumber was on time, courteous, very informative to the issues and completed the job to our satisfaction. He found a leak that originated from the water main and corrected the problem. We also had him replace the inner working of two toilets since he was on site.

We had just moved to the area and so I decided to "sample" plumbers with simple jobs to get a feel for which one I may want to use for future emergencies. I selected Philip's Plumbing based on their A rating at the time and the big deal they had available. It is now my intention to never have this company back to my home. Sam barely arrived in time. He pulled up in a Terry's Plumbing truck. He was condescending during the entire service call. He criticized my choice of fixtures, took 17 trips back out to his truck, let me know he may have to leave for a short time to complete a "more important insurance job",discussed on the phone with his dispatcher how he was "still stuck doing the #$!@ Angie's list job", loudly cursed and groaned repeatedly, left a nearly 1/4" gap between the tile and the new tub faucet, and left a large hole in my drywall. I could not wait to get this man out of my house. Sam conducted himself in an unprofessional manner. He discussed his ex-wife and his displeasure over the court ordered alimony. He discussed 2 other Angie's List customers that gave him a bad rating, mentioning in an intimidating fashion that he remembered where they lived. (He brought this subject up 3 times.) He spent 10-15 minutes trying to talk me into using his services for future bathroom renovations. I was very dissatisfied overall. The cost of service listed included the $99 big deal and $40 in parts. I cannot help but believe that the extra labor time I paid for was due to the excessive trips outside, phone calls, and unpleasant conversations. In fairness to the provider i do want to mention that I did not contact the company regarding the low quality work to give them the opportunity to address it. I did not want Sam sent back to my house to fix anything so I chose to deal with the faucet gap and drywall hole myself.

the initial guy they sent out to do the estimate was very friendly and knowledgeable.the second guy they sent out to install the vanities did very quality work.I'm very happy with the work that was performed.

This was the first time using Angie's List and it was a very good choice. The plumber was on time and did a great job. They give a $30.00 discount if paying at time of service. Why wouldn't you?

The plumbers showed up when they said they would, assessed the situation and completed the work in short order. They replaced the old corroded and leaking shutoff valve with a new valve. While they were here I had them look at the 20 year old water heater in the house and price the cost of replacing it. They quoted me a fair price to replace the water heater and will be calling soon to schedule the work. I also need to replace thee old water piping in the crawl space of my 1922 bungalow. The plumber who will be doing the water heater replacement will assess the scope of the work involved in replacing the old water piping and then they will quote me a price for that work.

We were told our hot water heater was the source of small amounts of CO2, there was a smell of gas in the house. I called a number of local gas plumbing service companies from a list provided by TECO Gas. All of the places I called prior to calling Phillips wanted to take my credit card number before scheduling an appointment. Most told me they would also send out a new heater, assuming they would just replace it regardless of what they found once they arrived. I first wanted someone to come out and check the function of the heater, but all I heard was, "we need your credit card number before we put you on the schedule". I've lived in FLA long enough to know companies that do this credit card BS are only out to rip you off, one way or another. During the evening I left a message at Phillips. The next morning John called me and we discussed what maybe going on with the heater. He had me put on the schedule for that day, no talk at all about needing a credit card. The tech's came out and checked the heater completely. No issues were found, no exhaust problems or burner issues were found. The tech's even went up into the crawl space to make sure the exhaust venting was normal. There are so many companies out there just waiting for home owners to call in order to charge them a huge amount of money for doing little to nothing. I am very glad I was able to find an honest and helpful service provider in Phillips Plumbing. Phillips will be my first and only call for any plumbing needs in the future.

Had some trouble getting original disposal out due to years of built up Florida water calcification but was finally able to get it loose. Cleaned up mess under sink and got new disposal installed in no time..Sam was very courteous and professional. Would definitely call them again and refer them to anyone looking for a good plumbing company.

Diagnosed the problem quickly, fixed what they could to allow us to use drains until they could get back with proper equipment to do the job. Our sewer lines had collapsed. They worked professionally. The estimate was what they charged except for some additional work we asked them to do and that billing was reasonable. My father was a licensed contractor, plumbing, heating and electrical so I feel I am an authority on the subject as I was brought up in the industry. We were pleased with the entire service.

He had to reschedule the appointment as they were having trouble with a previous job and ours wasn't urgent. I was fine with that as I figure things like that happen around the holidays. He was very good about calling and explaining the delay and I decided to just wait a couple of days instead of trying to fit it in the following day. On the day he came he turned up in the middle of the 2 hr window and was VERY knowledgeable, helpful and solved the issue of our bath not draining very quickly. He honored the Angie's List discount too without question. I'd definitely hire them again.

Perfect! Called less than 24 hours ago and they showed up next day. Arrived early and finished in less than an hour and a half. They did call to say they would be early so no surprises. Would highly recommend.

sreplacement. Worker cleaned up after his work. As plubers go they tend a little grimy. Our workman has never seen a barber shop in the last 9 months. In spite of that he was pleasant and workman like. When I asked about the Angies, he willing take any certificate or online announcement. I immediate applyed online while he as there. Overall a good experience.

We called at 9:00 a.m. on the 21st and they came at 11:00 a.m. Very personable gentleman named Sam with a great sense of humor. Efficient and gave explanations. Would definitely use again.

All work was preformed as agreed. John, Joe and Sam were knowledgeable and provided information regarding vendors and other trades persons.

Water draining from my washing machine had backed up and flooded my bathroom, leaving a nasty mess. Phillips arrived a little after the scheduled time but called to let me know they were running late (very much appreciated). They were professional and personable and quickly had my drain cleared of roots.

The tech (Sam) arrive just minutes prior to 11:00 am and the drain was unclogged after the kitchen drain was snaked out and back up and working by 11:21 am. (Less than 30 minutes). When I spoke to John on the initial call I asked John to give me an approximate price, which John said would be between $80. and $160.00 dollars depending how bad it was. For Sam to snake the kitchen drain out, in less then 30 minutes total time, I was charged $160.00 which I thought was a little high! I did use a $30.00 off coupon that Phillips Plumbing provided through Angie's List, to members that paid upon completion of work, which did take my bill down to $130.00 total that I paid to have my drain opened. I can't say that I wouldn't use them again, but I would get a more definitive price up front or shop around for a better price! I also feel that Angie's list should make the question, would you use the provider again,- a "YES", "NO", or "MAYBE!

I called at 7:30 AM and plumber arrived at end of given arrival time period late that morning. Quickly assessed what need to be done. Turned off house water and performed work within 20 minutes. With my Angie List coupon I paid only $90 which was just a little more than the fee for the service call itself.

Our 10-year-old water heater was leaking and needed to be replaced. I called five different companies for a quote. Joe at Phillips was (1) the most personable, friendliest and knowledgeable person I spoke to while researching quotes (2) gave me the most reasonable cost for basically the same brand water heater as the other companies (3) seemed to honestly care that he was offering the most reasonable quote. Made an appointment and two extremely polite men showed up on time to install the new water heater. It took about an hour or less. The service men were professional, polite and efficient. They did a great job, going above and beyond by replacing a shoddy pipe installation from the previous installation. Joe will do everything he can to save you from additional and unnecessary expenses. The new water heater and piping looks much better than the previous work. I would not hesitate to use Phillips in the future or recommend Phillips to anyone. I've been looking for a trustworthy reasonable plumbing company for a long time and think that Phillips is a gem.

I called them around 8:30 AM and they arrived by 10 AM. Found the problem, had the part on truck and fixed it. They were here about 45 minutes, polite, very professional and knew exactly what needed to be done. Perfect!!

We woke up one morning to find the bathroom floor covered with water. It was clear that the toilet was leaking and I assumed that the gasket was defective and it was leaking at its base. Because it was creating a mess, we needed emergency service. I called a couple of previous providers but everyone was busy, even those that advertised emergency services. I found Phillips on Angie's List. They were also busy but offered to work us into their schedule. I was flexible with the time and that helped. They called after about three hours after making the appointment and said that they had found an opening. Sam arrived at the house and was very personable and seemed knowledgeable. After a thorough exam, he diagnosed the problem. It was the tank that was leaking. He replaced some bolts and tightened them -- something that the installer a couple of years ago had apparently failed to do. Because it seemed to be an installation problem, he checked the other toilets and performed from preventive maintenance. When it came time to settle the bill, I found the charges to be very fair. I would not hesitate to call Phillips again and would welcome Sam into our home. A job very well done!
