Julian Tuza of this company quoted us a price to refinish our chaise lounges and collected a $100 deposit and the furniture in early november of 2019 and never returned either despite numerous requests over a period of months. He finally stopped responding at all. We have had to replace the very expensive lounge chairs with new. The final call to him was met with total lies and profanity. Enough said!

Owner picked up furniture in July, 2018. Said it would take 3 weeks to do. After many unanswered calls over several months, and a letter returned from the post office, I finally got a response after contacting the Better Business Bureau in April, 2019. Owner claimed he thought the work had been done. Had no idea what my furniture looked liked or where it was. When I described it, he delivered two of my chairs, with original paint and no slings. One small table with original paint. And two white strapped chaise lounges which were very dirty and not mine. He said he may have the frames to my chairs, without straps at his business. I went with the bird in the hand theory, and kept the ones he delivered. I did not pay him. Photos show chair before (with sling) and after (without sling), eight months later.
Description of Work: I wanted to have outdoor chairs repainted and slings/straps replaced to match some new furniture.

Description of Work: This guy unfortunately has an issue with hoarding. He had a room full of tables and chairs that some poor owners will never get back. Luckily, I discovered this and went and got my money back - I never gave him my furniture - whew!

This was the most frustrating and exasperating experience I've ever had with a tradesperson. We had just moved to Florida and had no one to ask for a personal recommendation, so we went to Angie's list to find this company. It started out mostly fine; Julian, the owner of the company, came out to estimate the job in mid July. He was late for the appointment. That was a red flag I should not have overlooked. He wasn't very clear about what we needed to do and how to do it; I had to really press for details and then again I had to work to find out things like his price, a timetable, and how to proceed. I felt like I was doing his job for him but decided that because he was a poor communicator didn't really mean that he wouldn't do a decent job on our furniture. He seemed disorganized but I thought he was probably honest. His price sounded fair and reasonable and we decided to go ahead with the job. He estimated that the job would be finished and we'd have our chairs back in a couple or a few weeks. He was going to England for the Olympics but assured us that the work would be done in his absence and we'd have our chairs back. Five weeks later we still hadn't heard from Julian. When I called to ask about the delay, my questions were never really answered definitively. He was sketchy about a delivery date. It was difficult to reach him. A call to his business number usually went to a fax line. I left messages on his cell and was never certain he heard them. His response time was terrible and I had no certainty that he ever got my messages. Unless I caught him directly, he didn't return a call. He kept promising later this week, early next week, he'd call as soon as the fabric comes in. He had trouble with the powder coating people he was working with, etc etc etc. I thought we'd never see our furniture again! I was holding my breath. He sent me a text message with a picture of someone else's furniture. After several more no-shows and failed attempts to reach him by phone, my husband was able to talk to a woman who worked for him. He said we were through waiting for Julian to do as he promised. We wanted to pick up our furniture ourselves. She wouldn't tell us how to find the shop. He asked how she could work for a person who does business in this manner? He must leave a lot of people disappointed and frustrated! I sat next to him as he had this conversation. Ten minutes later we got a call from Julian accusing my husband of abusing his secretary. It was the most outrageous and inappropriate accusation imaginable. Julian was irate and screaming at my husband. I finally was able to calm him down. He explained he had already had the chairs painted, but was waiting for the fabric to come in. I worried he'd charge us full price to have our chairs half finished, so I asked him to please finish up. To make a very long story shorter---they finished 2 chairs perfectly. The measurement on the second set (a different but similar set) was done wrong and the slings wouldn't fit. It took 3 more tries for them to get slings to fit!!! Each time we had to go through the frustrating process of having them measure and replace. This included many failed phone calls and numerous appointments that they were either late for, or didn't show up till the next day, or the next, or the next. On the 4th attempt, they installed slings. It looked like a child did this work. There were puckers and gaps and bulges and it clearly didn't fit well. I was shocked--the first two turned out perfectly and this was supposed to pass as satisfactory? Does this guy have any standards? Any sense of fairness or doing the right thing? I voiced my dissatisfaction. The installer couldn't look me in the eye. He said he wanted to take the chairs back to Julian to see if there was a problem. My husband said he did NOT want the chairs removed. Julian would have to come out to see himself. The next day while we were gone, the chairs were taken from our yard without our permission and against our express wishes. I wanted to report this to the police. I felt like our chairs were taken hostage. A couple of weeks later, the chairs were returned to us. He had corrected the problems only slightly--maybe 15% improved. Feeling completely defeated and exhausted by this whole business, we paid and were happy never to have to see this guy again. 4 1/2 months of total aggravation and lousy workmanship on the final 2 chairs!
Description of Work: Repowdercoated 2 pairs of outdoor chaise lounges; provided and replaced slings with padded slings.

I had a good experience with him and his name was Julian. I had really expensive furniture set built with rod air, leaves and all that. He painted with chipping off down to the hot metal. He painted it and put all the weavings heavy. It looked brand new. Luckily when he was here, someone cracked one of the legs and he fixed it. He didn’t repairs and stuffs with one price. He showed all kinds of samples and asked what color I wanted it painted.
