Nightmare. The set was delivered to my home and after inspection just hours later, noticed that three chairs have defects, two with tears in the fabric and two with gray paint drips on the fabric. Called customer service, sent them photographs via email and was cleared for pick-up and repair for two chairs as the third was noticed after pick-up. Now, as of 5/10/11 I'm told that I have to pay for the repairs, and was told the damage was created by me. No one has ever sat in the chair, how could I have created the issue? They have been on my lanai for less than two hours! I have physically gone over the Patio Factory Super Center and spoke to Jason Beede, who sold me the set and was told it's out of his hands. Comforting. What's appalling besides the obvious is the big sales pitches - great customer service and warranty, which there is none, I paid for six chairs and a table, three chairs have defects. So. I'm out two expensive chairs valued at approximately $400.00 and a third I don't want them to take as I need the seating Kim Beede in customer service 941.739.7711 is the lead person and Jason Beede sold me the goods. 5/11/11 The following is an email I sent today help resolve the situation. You can read I am now open to paying more money to resolve this, retrieve my furniture and move on with life. No response as of 9:28 p.m. 5/11/11. Kim, I am writing concerning my two chairs and I would like to get this matter resolved in an agreeable manner. I want you to understand my side of this. The set was delivered with 3 chairs with problems on the fabric. Although I know you told me about your fabulous quality control, due to the fact that 50% of the chairs have a problem, I question it. The third one (the other swivel) we just notice has paint on the fabric right by the frame. I don't even want to send that one back. I will live with it. The set is located under an large overhang in a caged pool area, with a body of water between me and my neighbor. There are two people living in this house with 6 chairs. I had company one night, but it was so hot no one wanted to stay outdoors for long. I don't think they even sat on the chairs. We have barely used the furniture. How the tears got in the fabric, I don't know, but because it is so close to the paint glob I have to assume it has something to do with that. I too am an honest and reasonable person. I am willing to pay 50% of the $70 fee to end this ordeal. Please let me know if this is agreeable to you and when I might expect the chairs returned. If this is not agreeable, repair the one chair and return the other in as is condition immediately. 5/12/11 Spoke with Kim and she will repair my chair for $50.00 plus tax. Fair? No, but I'm too busy with a full life to battle with this. I agreed to pay the $50.00 just to get my chairs repaired and returned. I don't like being taken advantage of and sick of thinking about it. Was told it will take three weeks from today, I will report any new developments. 5/13/11 Kim's husband called my home at 5 p.m. on the 13th and told me that the chairs would be repaired for me at no charge. It's been 18 days since that call and have not heard any word on the repair status of my chairs.
Description of Work: After searching the Sarasota area for new lanai furniture I found Patio Factory Supercenter (patiofactorysupercenter.com). They offer great looking locally made furniture so I made the decision to purchase a new set. Quality seemed good in the store but after delivery of my set I now find customer service to be a nightmare. Jason Beede sold me on the great warranty and product which has proven to be not true. The order was 3/28/11, delivered 4/26/11, picked up for repair thursday 5/5/11
