This custom partial remodeling job went extremely well. Communication with Pat Kerr was excellent throughout the project. Barbara and I used Pat's vendor recommendations and selected our granite tops, sinks, and shower stall tile. Pat coordinated the cabinet design and construction, tile installation, granite machining, and plumbing with his trusted subcontractors, and he also performed much of the work himself. We're very pleased with the results and feel that his cost of about $7,000 was reasonable.

He made several visits to our home and created a custom pantry that resembles some of our other rustic/folk art furniture. The linen closet doors and framing match all of our existing kitchen and bathroom cabinetry exactly. By building these two pieces for us, Pat gave us so much more storage with nicely crafted sliding drawers and ceiling to floor storage space. Throughout the process, Pat communicated with us through emails and texts , sending updates and photos and stopping by with samples of doors, etc. I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone. Pat does top-notch quality work!

After interviewing 12 different kitchen cabinet makers that were advertising in the Sarasota area (including the ?box? stores), the results were dismal: Either the work was shoddy, or the prices were very steep. It also didn?t take us long to figure out that these other companies were actually selling cabinets built by another manufacturing company, so we were confined to a very limited set of color choices and sizes. Even a few minor deviations from the ?standard? would bump our order up to ?custom-level,? which dramatically increased the price to an outrageous amount that far-exceeded our budget. THEN WE FOUND ?PAT?S CABINETS? ON ANGIE?S LIST. What a blessing! We met at Pat?s workshop during our initial interview and looked at some examples of his work. Although Pat?s company is a relatively small organization, his spacious workshop is well-equipped with every possible tool needed for beautiful craftsmanship. Pat was extremely knowledgeable about every aspect of cabinet-building and he has worked in this industry for many years? he has some great ideas and an eye for ?possibilities.? He met with us many times while we hammered out the details for a kitchen that was entirely custom-built. Yes, it was a slow process by some people?s standards, but you have to consider that we were not buying a pre-built set of cabinets? Pat?s work is entirely custom! The extra time was actually an advantage because it allowed our project to ?evolve? as we perfected a few minor changes to our original design. He also didn?t mind that we occasionally stopped by his workshop unannounced to take a look at his progress. Each time, we felt confirmation that we had made the right choice in cabinet-makers. The installation went extremely smooth. Pat personally supervises the entire process, and his install-team was very knowledgeable and professional. They were careful not to harm our existing walls and floor, and they cleaned up after themselves. Pat made several follow-up visits after the installation to ensure that everything was working smoothly and that we had no complaints. The few minor items on our ?punch-list? were fixed. The final results were STUNNING! Pat skillfully captured the style we were seeking? simple, yet elegant. His finishing crew matched the color we wanted perfectly. After they left, I stood in my new kitchen and actually cried with joy. It is a beautiful dream kitchen, with all the ?bells and whistles? that are now found in a modern kitchen: pull-out spice cabinets, two spacious D-shaped corner lazy-susans on sturdy ball-bearings, a multi-tiered silverware drawer, a built-in knife-block drawer, a pull-up mixer stand, deep drawers for pots and pans, twin gorgeous 7? pantries, and a beautiful 5?x7? island. Almost all the shelves in our kitchen were roll-outs, all drawers were full-extension, and all doors are soft-close. I HIGHLY recommend Pat?s Cabinets for any cabinet work that you may need. He is extremely professional: He personally does or oversees the work himself. He promptly follows up on all phone calls or emails. The quality of his work is top-notch: dove-tail drawers, full-overlay with a frameless ?Euro? design, ¾? solid wood door and drawer front with recessed solid wood panels, 3/4? maple plywood cabinet/drawer sides, and ½? thick maple plywood drawer bottoms. We were also very impressed with his use of sturdy, high-quality versatile hardware. After interviewing the other cabinet-makers, we thought his price was VERY reasonable for the job, and he strictly stayed within our budget! This price was just for the cabinet work, and did not include countertops, drawer/door knobs, electrical, plumbing, and glass inserts. Pat takes full responsibility and personal pride in his work? so you can relax, knowing that he will produce exactly what you hired him to do.

Pat built and installed a bookcase that he made to my specifications. We met to discuss the details and he made some alterations that I accepted. He was backlogged so it took two months for him to complete the job, but he finished it well before my deadline. He also had it painted to match my walls, as I requested. He then brought the bookcase to my home and installed it securely to the wall. Pat Kerr is a professional and a craftsman. He's also a pleasure to work with. I'm very pleased with his work, I certainly would recommend him, and I wouldn't hesitate to ask him to do another job for me if the need arises.

When we put a granite countertop in there was a gap left between he cabinet. Pat put a shoe and moldings in which looked great. He took time tomake it look perfect. Even though it was a small job he still was detailed. The price was reasonable

Pat was an excellent contractor for our project. He worked with us in choosing color, style and options in every aspect of our kitchen. We had already replaced countertops (with granite); therefore, we did not want to mess up the granite, but wanted to redo the kitchen. He worked with us in choosing all aspects of the makeover. He designed our cabinet doors and helped us get the exact color needed to accent the granite and other decorative elements. The cabinet doors (and pantry doors) were perfect. They were the exact style we wanted; they were the exact color we wanted; and they were the perfect compliment to our surrounding areas. The workmanship was superb. When problems or challenges popped up, Pat addressed them and found a way to make the problem go away. We talked through a few challenges and he always came up with a very viable solution. Pat and his staff were courteous and very helpful. Could not ask for a better group. Always cleaned up after a work day and were very friendly and congenial.

The owner sent his builder out to estimate the job. The builder had been with the company for some years. He seemed knowledgable, but left the company before sending me the quote. He didn't tell the owner. The owner was very responsible and apologetic. He immediately came out to re-quote the job. His estimate was a little more than I wanted to pay, so I haven't agreed to it. But I do recommend him based on my experience so far.

They guys at Pat's Cabinets were punctual, professional, and experts in contracting. From my description above, you can tell that these guys will get the job done at a great price and with expertise.

We just moved to the Lakewood Ranch area and Pat's Cabinets was reccomended to us. Karl came out to our house, measured and provided a renduring of what the cabinet would look llike. He also capped a gas line that was attached to a fireplace that was removed. He also re-figured the area for the cabinet. Six weeks lated the cabinet was installed and it is beautiful. We get many, many comments on what a great job Pat's Cabinets. If you are looking for any type of cabinet job I would call Pat.
