+ -1 moreThey showed up on time and were here for about four hours. When they were done the sod was put back in place so well, we could barely see where they had dug. We are very happy with their work.
Description of Work: My pole lamp, about 60' from the house, stopped working. I had Mr. Sparky come to diagnose the problem as the pole lamp was also on the bathroom circuit and it had tripped the breaker. Mr Sparky charges only by the job so to diagnose the one circuit problem would be $300 whether it too 10 minutes or ten hours. We got our money's worth as it took him three hours. He determined the wire from the house to the light was shorted out and he wanted $1800 to replace the wire. Thinking he was crazy I had an independent electrician also give me an estimate and his estimate was $2500. For my third estimate I contacted Owen's electric. They were able to use a special device to find where the break was in the wire, dig it up and splice it together all for only $500.

+ -1 moreI have used Owens Electric several times and they are wonderful. Don't hesitate to call them whether it is a big or small job. I have a number of their employees in my home and they are all equally professional and helpful.
Description of Work: We are building an extension to our lanai for a therapy spa plus we had some smoke alarms added. They did as much as they could until the spa is delivered/in place and then they will come back to finish/hook it up.

+ 0 moreAlthough it was a while ago, I still absolutely love it and I've never had any problems with it. I find that I always have hot water. Whenever my son was here he would empty the tank, so I decided to go with a tankless water heater and it never runs out! They were excellent and efficient at their work, and finished within one day. I'd highly recommend their services.

Description of Work: My 1940 house needed all new electric. I split things up: first to replace the outside electrical box and then a rewire to remove the obsolete circuitry in the ceiling of the house. Two vendors Rayco (angies list ) and Owens electric voted best in Manatee county. Rayco won the first part and were just excellent . The 2nd part was not sure that each bidded knew per what was needed. Rayco came out and confirmed there bid was only to remove old wiring but not to replace and install new wiring through out the house. I spoke with Owens and was advised the work did replace wiring and add new wiring. I chose Owens The first day the young man said it looks like it will take longer than expected. Well time was not a concern and they completed the work and then the shock of a bill for twice the estimate. They would not even discuss it. I found it very unprofessional in that the first day they did not say hey we need to redo our estimate. So don't trust or use Owen's electric. Rayco is who I will use and recommend
