Karen and Freddy are a husband and wife team. They do the work themselves. Started and finished precisely on schedule. A little drywall repair too. Good suggestions from Karen on color choices. This is a second home, I dropped down for weekend mid- job and they even cleaned up and made way so that the house was comfy for my visit. Work is very good the cut ins are neat and nary a brush mark to be seen. Definitely recommend.

The project went extremely well. Fred and Karen are an excellent team. They arrived on time and finished the work as scheduled. Karen was very helpful with her guidance on colors. The rooms were difficult because of the extremely high ceilings and angles, but the job looks great. Fred also voluntarily helped us out by making some repairs on a cabinet in the kitchen area. We would definitely use them again.

We can't imagine how it could have gone any better. From the initial meeting to discuss what we needed to the final clean-up, everything was above our expectations. At our first meeting, Fred and Karen went through each room with us and offered suggestions for colors. They gave us a firm price and a firm starting date consistent with our desired timing. Before leaving, Karen provided a number of color books and paint wheels to help us identify the specific colors we wanted to use. While we narrowed our selection down to eight or so colors for the multiple areas that would e painted, we still weren't sure how our choices would blend into the overall light and airy theme we were seeking. Karen came back a few days before the scheduled start and spent over an hour with us going over our choices and making a number of suggestions that made a lot of sense. On day one (and every day of the job), Fred and Karen showed up on time and went right to work. They were very careful with their estimates of the paints needed and only purchased the paint on a daily basis so that we did not end up with a lot of excess paint. It also allowed us to tweak some of the colors to give the right hue and sheen under the lighting in the house. In preparation, they asked us to remove some of fragile items from cupboards and take down things hanging on the walls -- but to leave the nails/hangers in place where we did not want the holes to be filled. They then took care of removing all the electrical covers, patching up some settling cracks, and moving the furniture as needed. They had a very efficient process with laying down generous drop cloths and working one area at a time. They would start by rolling the first coats on the ceiling an walls of the area, then cutting in two coats on the edges and finishing up with a second coat on the walls an ceilings. Their attention to detail was great and they made sure every surface was evenly covered and all edging was sharp. When they were finished (again, on time as scheduled), we were thrilled with the results because it all came together in exactly the way we had hoped. The wall holes had disappeared, the electrical covers were back in place, and the furniture was where it belonged. It was a great experience and we felt we got full value for our investment . We would not hesitate to recommend Fred and Karen for any interior painting project.

I researched painters to paint our Ocean City Condo. After interviewing a few resources we selected Neumanns. I needed a sense of comfort with first selecting professionals that would do a good job and also that we could trust in our unit. I read many reviews on Angies List. I selected Karen and Fred for several reasons: they are a husband and wife team who live nearby; have had great reviews which was attractive; have many years of experience in painting and customer service. I was worried because we had walls that needed repair due to settling cracks and problems with the paint job from previous owners. They answered all my questions and also asked me the right questions since I left some out having a design background. We were very satisfied with the outcome! They will not disappoint you. They repaired multiple wall and repaired window issues in addition to painting. Their pricing was very good and competitive. We used Neumann Custom Painting two years ago, and were so satisfied that we did not think of calling anyone else for this smaller job. We were not disappointed. They are punctual, do quality work, clean up, and are generally helpful. They are professional, but at the same time, feel like family.

We found Neumann Painting on Angie’s List, and are we glad we did. Karen and Freddy Neumann really like painting and it is reflected in the quality of their work. It’s great! We bought a new house which had “builder special” paint on every surface. The Neumann’s painted every wall and ceiling as the trim color was fine. The house is quite large, almost 5000 square feet of finished living space – 4 bedrooms, 4 full baths, dining room, breakfast nook and two huge great rooms, loft, etc., with wonderfully high ceilings – unless you are a painter. It cost $6700 for labor and $1565 for the paint (Benjamin Moore Regal). We are so glad we didn’t wait a year to color our home. It is beautiful. Really big points: 1) Karen was wonderful in helping us to make a final selection of colors – one in particular, is our favorite now, which we never would have chosen without her; and 2) Throughout, the Neumann’s carefully paid attention to detail; and 3) Not one drop of paint hit our floor, carpet or tile. That is incredible coupled with how beautiful the house looks. Every day, the Neumann’s showed up on time with a smile. They are good people, as well as superb painters, that we were pleased to have in our home. We will call on them again anytime we need painting.

I recently hired Neumann Custom Painting to paint the inside of my garage. The work was excellent and I then hired Neumann to paint the finished basement of my home, both walls, ceilings and the bathroom. This work was also excellent. I then hired Neumann Painting to paint the interior of my home --- all rooms, closets, bathrooms and halllways. They divided this painting smartly into four sub-projects. Each project was completed with a minimum impact to my living in the house at the same time. Neumann Custom Painting is a very highly skilled group of painters who work well together as a team, getting the work done in a timely manner and with attention paid to thorough and qualitative work. I have recommended Neumann Custom Painting to my family and my neighbors.

Wonderful, a great job, took everything down off the walls and did some repairs on the blinds. Husband and wife team, felt more like family. Came on time with the dates agreed upon.

This was Phase 2 of our painting contract with Karen & Fred Neumann. Phase 1 was the walls. They did such a super job, we had them back to do all the trim. The reason why we like them so much, is their attention to detail. They caulked where needed and just did a superior job. They are a quiet, friendly husband and wife team who can work around your schedule and you don't even know they are in the house. They left every area clean , neat and put things back the way they found them. They are the best!

Fred and Karen did a fantastic job! About a month before the start date, they dropped off color swatches and paint brochures. That gave me enough time to choose my colors . They are a nice ,friendly, low keyed couple, working at a good pace and got the job done exactly when they said they would. We are so pleased with their painting skills, we are having them back in 2 months to do more!

Fred and Karen Neumann were great..Professional, punctual, responsive to our requests, friendly.We were comfortable with them and enjoyed conversation with them..Karen will advise on color choices for you as it could be difficult to choose..Overall,they were great and I know we will be hiring them again for other rooms in my home.

First, Fred and Karen Neumann are such nice people that it is a delight woking with them and having them in your home. Second, they do GREAT work. They are knowledgable and efficient. They show up on time, work hard, and before you know it they are done. It is hard to say enough good things about this company and these two individuals.

Freddy and Karen were a pleasure to work with. They were responsive to extra requests - never complaining. They completed work according to schedule, were careful of belongings, and cleaned up everything. They went out of their way to be helpful! Everything looks great.

After painting the entire interior of our home in December of last year, we called the Neumann's in late May, asking if they could stop by and see the damage to the wall in our stairwell (created when I dropped an iron). They called us back and said they'd come to our house to look at the spot when they were in the Lewes area. They came on a Friday and while they were checking what needed to be done, Fred applied a coat of spackle to fill the hole. He returned, as promised on Monday afternoon, smiling and friendly as ever, despite the prospect of starting another job after a long, hot day painting something else. He sanded the area, swept up the dust and in just a few minutes the spot looked like nothing had ever happened. He feathered in the paint with great care, making sure the texture of the surface would match the rest of the wall. When we asked him what the cost was, he refused to take any money. We reminded him that we had caused the problem. He reminded us that they'd done a large job for us less than a year ago and this was a small matter. We finally talked him into taking home a bottle of wine to share with Karen.

Karen and Freddy Neumann were FANTASTIC, with all the characteristics you'd hope for in contractors. They were extremely skilled, professional, responsive, prompt, efficient, trustworthy, considerate, friendly and so on. My husband and I had done some of the painting in the house ourselves, but that tack was of course much more difficult and time-consuming than we anticipated. We hired them for the tough stuff, in particular, such as areas of the house with lots of features to paint around or very high ceilings. Also, we asked them to paint the 10-foot ceilings throughout the home's common areas--a challenge we wouldn't have touched! Their painting was careful and right-on--looks beautiful!--and they took great pains to protect our floors, furniture and other possessions. Their price was more than fair. Freddy and Karen finished quickly without sacrificing top-notch quality. And, they left the house as clean as they found it, if not cleaner! I would hire them again in a heartbeat--for the whole house this time--and I recommend them without reservation.

Fred & Karen did an incredible job and completed job in a couple of days. Did job at a great price no will definently use them in the future.

We were very pleased with the results. Honest, reliable and knowledgeable. They were neat, cutting in was professional, and they moved or removed what ever was necessary in order to get the job done. They use only Benjamin Moore paints and do not mark up the costs. I also prefer Benjamin Moore which I feel is superior to any other brand I have tried. Fred and Karen had to match colors from another paint brand and the match was perfect. I will use them again and would definitely recommend to anyone.

Karen helped us initially with the colors and gave us some good ideas and advice. They are very friendly and easy to work with. Any concerns or questions, they dealt with immediately and were helpful and professional in their work. The work was great and everything went really well.

The house looks beautiful , so very pleased with the quality of their work. And for a two person operation , 7 days to finish the job was pretty quick ..

We contacted the Neumanns on very short notice. We called them at the end of one week and needed the job done by the end of the next week. They schedule was booked through November but they came by on their day off and did the job. Fred and Karen are wonderful to work with -- friendly, helpful, and skilled professionals. We enjoyed having them in the house and were impressed with both the quality of their work and their ability to get the job done quickly. They moved the furniture and covered everything. They patched holes in the wall and repaired a corner where the drywall tape had separated. They took down large and heavy window treatments where others would have been tempted to paint around them. When they left everything was back in place. There was no splatter or drips. The rooms looked wonderful. We had some questions about what should be done, and each step of the way they provided us with options and recommendations and let us decide which way to go. Working with Fred and Karen was one of the best home repair experiences I have ever had.

Fred and Karen spent 6 days painting several rooms in our house. They were wonderful to work with -- conscientious, meticulous, friendly, timely, and professional. Karen was very helpful in advising on color selections and Fred zeroed in on even the smallest flaws and nail pops that needed patching. They were great about explaining their process as they went along and readily answered any questions we had about the painting project. We were completely comfortable having them in our house, both while we were at home and when we were out. We wouldn't hesitate to use them again and highly recommend them for anyone needing house painting.

My husband and I are extremely happy with the outcome of Freddie and Karen Neumann's painting of our home. Karen was extremely helpful in meeting with me for 2 hours just to help pick out colors! I went with almost all of her recommendations and couldn't be happier. Some of the walls and trim were dark brown or "gold" when we purchased the home and I wanted the house to be light and "beachy" instead. Covering those colors was no easy task. The work also included removing and then painting a tray ceiling in a bedroom, and we have very high ceilings and tall doors - also not easy. They were very friendly and cooperative and we felt very comfortable having them in our home when we weren't there. It's obvious that they take pride in their work.. I highly recommend Neumann Painting and would definitely use their services again in the furture.
