My Gorilla Garage

On 2/25/2022 we had Gorilla Garage install their "Industrial Grade Polyurea Floor Coating System" on our concrete garage floor. Prior to installation they did a moisture test on the concrete to be sure they could honor the "Lifetime Warranty" that came with the installation. The results were well under the threshold for the warranty so they stated the floor would be guaranteed for life. In June we had several patches of the top coating peel up. We contacted the office, they came out took some photos and stated they would get back to us with a resolution. As of today, 8.8.2022, we have heard nothing after leaving multiple messages. When I called this morning the voice mail message stated the office was closed. I guess that was a $3200 lesson I hope to never repeat.

Gorilla Garage was originally scheduled to do work on 5/23/19.I called office on 5/23 to see where the crew was and Charles told me that he did not have the resin.I said to Charles why he did not notify me and he said he left a voicemail but I had no record of the voicemail.I was rescheduled to 9/23 and once again a no show and Charles gave me the excuse of to much rain even though it had not rained in 10 days.Both times I had to empty the entire garage.I requested a deposit refund and I was denied.The company policy is no deposit refund after 5-days.Beware of Gorilla Garage and be sure to check the Better Business Bureau to view the many complaints.

OMG....BEWARE...BEWARE...BEWARE !!! GORILLA GARAGE is ABSOLUTELY the WORST company I have ever had the MISFORTUNE of dealing with. I first met one of their CHARLATAN salesmen, named Mike...who opted to print his own homemade business cards with a supposed direct telephone line and email address. After many, many, many attempts to reach him TO ABSOLUTELY NO AVAIL, I finally saw an ad for GORILLA GARAGE and called the number in the ad. At which time I, not the salesman, was reprimanded for calling the number he had given me, instead of the main office number. To make this NIGHTMARE of a story short, I signed a contract with Gorilla Garage (Sarasota) the end of April 2019. It is now September 10, 2019 and my project remains less than 50% complete. It is also worth noting that in this time period there has been approximately 14 days with NO rain or precipitation before 6:00 PM. Thus, the project has had NUMEROUS opportunities when it could have been completed. So, if you are even vaguely, thinking about using GORILLA GARAGE of Sarasota....THINK AGAIN...or at the very least...demand a COMPLETION DATE be put in your contract. For me, this has been the most UNPROFESSIONAL ORGANIZATION and the BIGGEST TRAGIC NIGHTMARE I have ever experienced. Furthermore, do NOT believe one word the Installation manager (CHARLES) tells you! He will tell you anything to get you off the phone. Additionally, I am even more appalled that I have not been contacted by the GM, Cliff Durban throughout this whole CIRCUS act. But given the degree of professionalism and the total lack of education, I would guess they do not know how to operate a telephone. Absolutely, no one on a management level (if one exist) has contacted me to date. Therefore, I will be notifying ALL local Chambers of Commerce, as well as, having a professionally made sign to put at the end of my driveway, warning possible VICTIMS about this company!!!

On 12/11/18 I paid $2900 deposit for install of proposed work to be done on Wed 02/20/19. Called the Scheduler two weeks prior and discussed the project and revisions. On Monday 02/18, I recvd a call to inform the materials were not available for Wed and then scheduled for Sat-Sun delivery (btw, IT IS a 2-day process they’re selling.. don’t be surprised when they find moisture and now you’ll need their vapor barrier sealant). Okay, that is a bunch of scheduling someone else into our spot - over commitment and they already have had our money for two months. So .. We had to rearrange our weekend plans of course. I had also picked up a UHaul to move our garage contents into while the job was being done. I ate one day UHaul $46 wasted because they took advantage. And, The job plan was modified before the crew arrived, but it had not been communicated as such. The crew also said they didn’t have enough product to coat a 22” x 24” x 24” riser by steps. I was first told by the salesman if we changed our minds it could be done, and then told by the Scheduler that material couldn’t be applied vertically like in a knee wall. I tried for 5 days to speak with someone who could first explain the delay and then why their internal mismanagement was placed in my lap. The General Manager DOES NOT return your messages. Absolutely NO LEADERSHIP or ACCOUNTABILITY. THEY DON’T CARE once they have your signature and money. The install crew did a good job. Otherwise I like the product (I guess we’ll see if they honor their TO GOOD TO BE TRUE, AMAZING WARRANTY).

salesman was prompt and courteous. However, after he gave us his quote, when he realized we weren't going to sign then and there to have the work done, he told us that the Angies list discount that was offered by the company would only be good if we agreed to sign today - and not after that. We have been members of angies list for many years, even before it was called Angies List, and NEVER in all those years were we told that the discount would only be good that day. When we still refused to sign, indicating that we would obtain other quotes first, he then said they "might" honor the discount but only for a few days. We didn't call him back as the whole experience unpleasantly reminded us of buying a used car. He didn't call us back either. We eventually chose another company.

So sorry this is late but the job was well done. Professional, efficient, area left clean. The only problem was deciding on which color/colors to use--way too many choices.

We researched several providers and decided to use My Gorilla Garage coat our garage floors and stairs. They did a fantastic job as you can see from the accompanying photos! Our old gray concrete floor was transformed to a clean and bright finish. The process only took one day and we couldn't be more please with the results. A huge thank you goes out to their entire crew!

Very well. Two nice young men who worked great as a team. Very pleasant and professional. Cut no corners for time or supplies. Took great care to do perfect job to my total satisfaction

Gorilla Garage floors are different than epoxy systems, its is worth understanding the difference. The end result will amaze you. The team arrived on time, explained the process to me as well as what to expect from the service. During the installation, the team kept me informed of progress and the importance of the steps they take for the installation. When completed, they gave me some final pointers as well as made sure I was satisfied with the look and quality of the workmanship, and I was completely satisfied. They did a great job of cleaning when completed, so you would never have know they were there. I wish I was able to upload the pictures I took of the job, it looks like a showroom. We now have had our floor for a month, and our neighbors have the epoxy system floor, there is no comparison, theirs is already showing issues where the car sits. We haven't ever washed ours yet, and it looks better that the neighbors. If you care about quality and longevity, I found that the Gorilla system is the best around, but you decide.

From the very beginning, the process was smooth and seamless. Sales staff was professional and knew what he was saying. We agreed to have the work done and signed the contract. Work was scheduled, but with a slight glitch, work was performed and completed by professionals. They knew what they were doing. Because of the cold weather, drive on time was 48 hours but it was not a problem. The floor is a sight to see and several neighbors have raved about what they see. It is magnificent! We are happy!

It went great from the 1st meeting at the Sarasota home Show , then the sales person Dan ( not pushy at all) who knew his product. The gentlemen who actually did the garage floor from patching, buffing & applying the top coat. Everyone was professional. Nice group of folks.

Terrible! I called to set up an appointment for our Garage Floors to be done and they would not set up an appointment unless my husband was present with me. Not acceptable in this day in age. Will not recommend and will not use this company!

It went wonderful! I thought there would be areas that might not blend together properly because of the design of my home, but when they finished I was blown away how well everything matched the color of my house.

It was great and we got what we expected. It was done professionally and I was quite pleased with it.

I am thrilled. He gave me a timeframe of when he was going to do it. When the day of the appointment came I assumed that it was going to be way too cold to do it, but he came out and did it anyway. I thought that was above and beyond. The floor coating is absolutely amazing. We have done the epoxy coating on our floors before but the flooring coating actually did the things their ad said it would do. It covered all the nasty dirt and concrete. This looks unbelievably nice. It's almost like the floor is like granite now. I wanted to wait a little bit to give a review until the weather changed. It has been all these months now and the floor looks just like it did when they layed it, absolutely brand new.
