Description of Work: I had a lamp with a loose light bulb socket and was hoping I could get it repaired quickly. It had been loose for awhile but still worked when suddenly it stopped turning on. Miguel said he could do it right then while I waited and it took just a few minutes. I offered to pay him but he refused just asking to take some of his business cards and recommend him to friends which I will certainly do. He was kind, friendly and professional. There is an incredible selection of lampshades in his store also and a steady stream of customers who obviously have found this service as wonderful as I did. Thank you again Miguel. I will come back again.

+ -1 moreFrom the minute that I walked into the store, I was greeted with kindness and helpfulness. Miguel gave me an estimate and did the repairs the same day. When I went back to pick up the lamps they plugged them in and put in light bulbs to demonstrate everything was working properly. Evelia even insisted on carrying a lamp out to the car to help me!!!! Now that is customer caring. I will definitely use the Light Source for any other lamp repair or shade replacement.
Description of Work: Replaced two light sockets in my lamps. These are my favorite lamps and I had tried to have them repaired before with no luck. Miguel and Evelia, the owners, were outstanding.

+ -1 moreMarge is as good as it gets. Lamp repair in Sarasota is difficult to find, and she's only been in business at this location for a year (35 years total), but she and Miguel are great. I arrived with my 5 foot floor lamp in hand and expected to leave it for a week, but less than an hour later walked out with a fully repaired lamp. She's been doing this for 35 years and went to work on it immediately. The lamp is 10+ years old and had been repaired once before. She replaced the guts of the lamp, rewired (did you know some wire is only good to 100 degrees, but other wire is good to 250?), and tightened up all the pieces. And it was done as I waited. It's a little tricky finding her place: she's on the NE corner of Tuttle and Bee Ridge. Call first; she's not open some mornings.
Description of Work: The owner, Marge Gulmantovicz, fixed our 300 watt halogen torchere … floor lamp giving indirect light.
