Kitchen Design

Measured incorrectly so the components could not be installed when delivered. Main person was intimidating and a bit of a bully trying to force me to accept these incorrect components. They sent another person to try to install them, but they had lost their installer so sent their assembly person who became sexually inappropriate with me, the homeowner who is 75 years of age. They finally refunded my money, but refused to remove the bad cabinets which have been abandoned in my kitchen. I now have to pay someone else to remove them, and I have to start over from the beginning with another cabinet maker. This started Nov 4, 2020 and finally resolved when I picked up the refund check on Jan 5, 2021 (they even refused to direct deposit this to my checking account from which they were paid originally)..

Nothing has been,delivered on time this project was approved to begin on July 8th and take 2 weeks. It is now Sept. 11th and not completed. We are now 7 weeks past the completion date and may get finished today. The quality of assembly is average to poor as many drawers had staples through the wood causing the possibility of injury. The upper corner cabinet was not made correctly, had to be redone. When it was recognized that this was wrong they should have ordered doors to match and they did not. Another delay. Many of the closures don't work properly. Not the best or even average quality closures. The blind corner cabinet had to be cut down by the installer. Appears that there is poor to no organization as the door and drawer fronts were not completed for installation with the cabinets. Buyer beware! A very frustrating experience.

Exceptional quality and the overall look is fantastic. Art was great to work with and very patient with us throughout the design process. We would not hesitate to use him again in the future and are very happy with our choice.

The quality of the workmanship was excellent! I’d recommend them highly and will use them again on my next project!

Kitchen Design and specifically Art and his assistant Kevin gave us a great outdoor kitchen that was affordable and designed to our specifications and visual appeal. Art was extremely attentive to our needs and budget and pulled together a kitchen for us that we were very pleased with. Most impressive for us was their attention to detail and persistence in working with their subcontractors (countertops, plumbing, etc) to ensure we were treated as valued clients, taken care of and that the kitchen was installed to our 100% satisfaction.

The project went exactly as we planned. Art was great to work with. He promptly returned calls, came when he promised, and completed project on schedule. He spent considerable time with us planning the project. He listened to our ideas and made things work the way we wanted. He made suggestions and improvements along the way that way that made the project even better. He is meticulous about installation and detail. We are very pleased with our kitchen.

Art and his team did a great job designing, building and installing a custom wall of kitchen cabinets in our home. We were very pleased with the workmanship and how it blended in with the existing cabinets. The cost was reasonable. I would recommend Kitchen Design and would hire them again should the need arise.

The entire process was simplified as Art graciously gave a great deal of time to insuring we were able to select from multiple options and had a chance to think through the visual and use related consequences of each choice. The result is a beautiful piece of cabinetry that fits the space precisely and sets the stage for the designer sinks and the bath/shower. We are delighted with the results !!

The vanity was perfect and Art installed them quickly and expertly.

Art did a fantastic job. When he came out to give us an estimate we told him that all we wanted to do was replace doors on cabinets and drawer fronts to keep the cost down. Since our cabinets were already white we went with the white doors. These are all solid wood unlike some of the other companies we received estimates from. There was never any pressure to buy more than what we requested. After the doors came in they were installed that same week. The new doors look great in the kitchen and improved the look immensely. He was very professional and actually got everything installed quicker than I would have thought. His prices were so much better than the other companies we received estimates from. I would definitely recommend Art and Kitchen Design to any who is looking for an excellent kitchen remodel at very reasonable prices.

Art responded quickly when I first contacted him through Angie's List. He was prompt for every meeting. He was thorough in his measurements and planning and offered clear ideas. His estimate was fair and as the job progressed and slight changes were made, his prices fairly reflected the changes. The final job is beautiful. It was so nice to work with someone who was fair, talented, and didn't try to talk us into a bigger project than we asked for. We are really pleased with the results.

Art visited us in Feburary and discussed our interest in a similar type of upgrade throughout our house, to that which he had provided near year end to all of the cabinetry in our kitchen area. In addition to cabinet door/drawer replacement and special wood lamination of all other exposed areas, Art built a new base cabinet with granite top in the laundry room and built a very special mounting frame with new matching panel door to cover over the music/intercom control panel in the kitchen. All of the new wood maple cabinetry now perfectly matches much of the other maple furniture and wood flooring in the adjacent family room and other areas of the house. We are totally pleased with all aspects of of the work and service Art provided and would highly recommend him to others for any type of cabinetry upgrade throughout the house.

Art, the owner, came to our house and gave us an estimate to remove the vanity in each of our three bathrooms (4 vanities in total), including the existing mirrors and light fixtures, and replace them with new ones. We also asked for him to build wood shelves in the closet in the master bath. We were very impressed with his professionalism and his no-nonsense approach. We called him back to do measurements and make a decision on cabinet color. We gave him an installation date that fit within our life activities. While we waited for the installation, we went and bought the faucets, light fixtures,mirrors and worked with Art's granite vendor company to pick the counter-tops. Art was our main point of contact throughout the process. He even intervened when the granite company gave us the wrong information, and found us a comparable counter-top at a better price . All monies passed directly to Art, and he made sure his partners were paid accordingly. When installation time came, Art had our cabinets ready. He came with four other men and they worked all day. He even stayed behind to continue while his men went for lunch. During the rip out and installation of the cabinets, they worked very cleanly, always vacuuming up after themselves. At the end of the first day, the new cabinet shells for all the vanities were installed. The new mirrors, light fixtures, and closet shelves were also installed. The next day, the granite people came to template the counter-tops. The following week, the granite people came back and installed the counter-tops and the sinks. The day after, Art came back with one of his men and finished the work, installing all the doors and side panels. The faucets were installed too. In the end, we are very pleased with Art and Kitchen Design. Their workmanship was impressive and even though it took a little longer to complete the project, it was well worth the wait. I would definitely work with him again and wish I had done so when we redid our kitchen.
