It went very smoothly. The whole crew was extremely professional and courteous. They all seemed to take a great deal of pride in their work. Laura was very helpful in picking out my tile, backsplash, counter tops and wood flooring. They all did a beautiful job.

He didn't get back to me but finally I found somebody else. He finally did get back to me but not really with a full estimate which was what I expected.

It was exactly what we needed. Provide great insight on the design and was totally opposite of what I thought we wanted.

Definitely contact Kitchen Designs by Laura if you are considering remodeling your kitchen! Laura did a phenomenal job walking me through each step of the process. I had many questions about paint, cabinetry, hardware and flooring, and Laura proved herself to be patient, honest and professional by creatively blending her extensive knowledge of a variety of materials with my design ideas for the kitchen. As the remodeling process wore on, Laura was always only a text or call away to troubleshoot and follow up with any issues that popped up. From the gorgeous wood floors to the beautiful glazed cabinets to the massive granite covered island, I now have the beautiful, traditional kitchen of my dreams thanks to the expertise of Kitchen Designs by Laura!

Laura referred me to one of her contractors who would likely be able to do the job as a side job. The man came out and was very friendly and punctual. He never got back to me with an estimate. I felt he and she wasted my time.

All work was performed to high standards. Demolition and installation were coordinated to provide a smooth flow of work. Laura kept us up to date and made sure we made timely decisions. While the work was well budgeted, it never felt like we were being nickel and dimed for fine tuning the scope of work. We started with a tired, dated house and now have a brand new contemporary home.

Unfortunately, Laura Wallace just couldn't meet my budget; in fact, her first proposal was more than double my budget. I encouraged her several times to return to the "drawing board" which she cheerfully did, but she was never able to match her proposals to my budget. I liked her enthusiasm, her ideas and appreciated her courtesy, but, in the end, her design and costs weren't in sync with what I needed for my small, modest kitchen.

We wanted to express how pleased and satisfied we are with our new kitchen and the level of service and quality of work from our first meeting with Laura to the end result. We also wanted to thank the contractor Jim, and the entire crew, for the professional manner in which the work was carried out. They were a pleasure to work with. We would gladly recommend Kitchen Design by Laura to anyone looking to have their kitchen remodeled in the near future. She really did a great job - even when we were stuck on picking out which granite counter top we wanted, Laura was very patient with us.

This review has been a long time coming. But having never used a designer/contractor before Laura, I had no point of comparison. Now, I do. I've learned that the things I deem most important are expertise, communication, punctuality, workmanship, and cost. Laura and her team had all of this covered, and then some. From the day of my initial inquiry, she has responded promptly to any call, text, or email. Even now, if I were to text her a question, she'd respond within minutes (despite not having worked together in 2+ years!) If I recall, she met with me within days of my initial call ... and not because her calendar is wide open. Most times, she has multiple jobs going on, but she juggles them successfully. When I decided to work with her, she wasted no time. You know those times when you find yourself calling a business more than once, and you don't get the courtesy of a return call? This doesn't happen with Laura. If she can do the job, she will. If she can't, because of scheduling or because it's not her area of expertise, she won't (but will be quick to give a referral). Ultimately, she wants to make sure you get what's best for you. And she's honest enough to admit when Kitchen Design by Laura can't meet your needs. (She even helped me when I was ready to install flooring throughout the house, which had nothing to do with the kitchen remodel.) Throughout our entire project, Laura was extremely knowledgeable, honest in her opinions, and kept in touch with me to let me know exactly what was going on at all times. And because this was a complete remodel, her creative input was extremely valuable!! She is thorough without trying to "upsell" you on anything. In fact, not only did she work within my budget, I got soooo much more bang for my buck with her functional and beautiful design. The overall project went well, with no delays. Unlike most remodels, we ran into no problems (I do realize how lucky I was). The 1 minor hiccup was when the cabinet maker built a single trash can pull-out, versus the double can pull-out that was requested. It was resolved the next day. This was my first home purchase and was made not long after the death of my mother. I had a lot going on, financially and emotionally. Laura met all of my professional expectations, and handled the job with the level of sensitivity that I needed at the time. Kitchen Design by Laura comes with my highest recommendation for your design/remodel needs!

When I first purchased my beach condo, living out of town was an issue. Would it go well not being able to micro-manage over my project. At the end...I knew I hired the right company. From the first time I met Laura, she had a vision to see the changes that were necessary to make this condo updated and more enjoyable. Opening walls and a new layout for the kitchen was the first step. She helped me choose the cabinetry colors and went with me to the granite yard, tile store and also helped me with the plumbing fixtures. It all came together nicely. The Contractor was impeccable. The team was clean and always left the job site tidy. They showed up when he told me they would be here. I can't say anything negative about the whole construction process. I was very satisfied with my custom cabinets. The quality of the material that went into my project was very important to me and all the recommendations that Laura gave me showed that she knows her stuff. This company is top notch and I will continue to refer them to others and also will use them again if ever the need. Thanks to everyone on your team.

Was very hesitant at the beginning due to the cost and would it be a good investment and money well spent. The final product was first class and had greatly improved the value of the home. Had no idea how a new kitchen "done right" could be such a great improvement. My money was well spent and would highly recommend Laura and her excellent crew.

The overall project went as well as I could've expected. We experienced a two-month delay at the beginning because the city required exterior impact windows be installed and completed before the rest of my remodel could continue. Laura had warned me in her proposal before any work got started that this might be a factor that was not worked into her price. Once this was resolved the rest of the remodel went relatively smoothly. Her contractor, Jim, is top notch and only works for the owner/designer Laura. They had excellent communication with both each other and me during the entire process and went out of their way to accommodate my schedule. Anyone who thinks that they won't run into problems or challenges during a remodel is being unrealistic. It's about how your designer and contractor handle the challenges that shows their professionalism and I got great treatment from Laura and Jim in every case. When we did encounter something, they told me what was possible, if it was included in the overall cost, or that it simply couldn't be done. One example was that my shower indent niches had to fit within the exterior framing of the building despite that I wanted them placed differently. Jim also immediately contacted me when my washer and dryer that I had purchased didn't fit in the designated laundry space because I'd purchased units that were over-sized. He gave me my options and we ended up building out the wall at a minimal extra cost to accommodate my choice. I couldn't even tell afterwards that it'd ever been different. Jim even took responsibility when one of his workers tracked wax onto my carpet that I wasn't planning on changing out. Because they couldn't get the wax out, Jim installed new carpet in one bedroom and no additional cost to me. Laura came up with an ingenious redesign for my master bathroom and hall closet that had an absolutely awful initial layout when the condo was built. None of the other contractors I received bids from came up with anything close. It's such a smart use of space that I'm so grateful for. Finally, the job site was always neat and tidy. Even though I wasn't living in the unit during the remodel, it was always nice to walk into a clean space to check on the progress. They also took care of little extras like carrying my fireplace mantel up 3 flights of stairs when I was out of town. If you choose to go with Kitchen Design by Laura, you're going to get a great design, top quality and high-end products and finishes installed, and first-rate professional customer service. I would not hesitate to use this company again or recommend them to any of my family or friends.

I called to get a quote or make an appointment and the women whom answered the phone said they cant do anything they are booked up until 2015- That is 5 months away!!!! Who on earth wants to wait that long?

I guess if you are lucky enough to actually have Laura give you a bid and work your job you will be happy. She was very pleasant on the phone and her clients give positive reviews. But, it is very frustrating trying to actually get a project off the ground when the people with good recommendations on Angie's List are also too busy to undertake your project.

Laura is very professional and was always accessible whenever we had questions. She has installed many kitchens and it shows in her knowledge and recommendations. Our kitchen transformation is amazing and so beautiful! We would never have come up with the design on our own. Thank you, Laura!

This was by far the easiest contractor to work with. Laura came to the house for a walk through on what was needed to be done to repair walls and base board damage from a water leak in the kitchen and lanai room. She spent a couple of hours with us talking about what we needed and what we wanted. Several days later we were provided with a design which needed just a few tweeks. She came to the house again with her van fully loaded with samples for us to choose from. Even before the contract was signed Laura discovered that the quartz counter we wanted was in short supply. She immediately went to her vendor and was able to secure our order. If she had delayed the project would have been several months behind schedule. The cabinet builder mailed 3 large samples of cabinet finishes and had matched the white I had chosen perfectly. Laura's work crew are the BEST! We live out of town, so it was up to the crew to move the furniture out of the lanai & living room - moving it to the back bedrooms or in the far corner of the living room. Everything was covered with plastic. They left the work area clean every night and made sure the house was locked and secure. The quality of their work is top notch - it is obvious that they take pride in what they do. The custom kitchen cabinets are beautiful, the install of the appliances perfect and the quartz counter top is fabulous. The work was completed on schedule, finishing up the last week in February. Upon completion the crew cleaned the area and moved the furniture back where they found it - something I was not expecting. After all the work was completed there was a very short 'to do' list of 5 items, mostly touch up painting. The site supervisor returned the same day to complete these items, went over even the smallest detail and corrected some things I had missed. We now have a kitchen with WOW factor & 2 very happy homeowners. Can't ask for anything better!

Contractors were very awesome and did great work. However, I was very disappointed that Laura never visited the job . Once the contract was signed all communication was email.

All of my cabinets are de-laminating already. The sinks in the bathrooms are very low-end, and have the appearance of constantly having a grimy ring around them, despite my attempts to clean them. It all looked nice to begin with, but now it's an absolute disaster. She hasn't done anything to help me out, and I'm incredibly unhappy to say the least. I paid top dollar, and in return, got inferior products and service.

The contractor and all workers were very much on top of the job throughout the project. They were responsive to all my concerns.

Everything went well ! My kitchen looks beautiful. Laura gave me a time frame of when the job would be completed and I am very happy to say that she kept her word. Laura has a traveling showroom and brought kitchen cabinet and quartz samples right into my house for me to look over. It was a very hard decision for me to make and it was nice to have a down to earth real person sit and give me her feelings and advice on things from her past experiences . .Laura will devote her time to you and never leave you feeling rushed. She was at my home today with samples of back splashes so that I can put the finishing touches on my new kitchen! I would without a doubt recommend her service.

From the moment we met Laura from Kitchen Design by Laura LLC we knew we found the right person for our remodeling project. She was vibrant and full of ideas. Laura immediately envisioned an updated kitchen and two bathrooms in a way no other professional interviewed had done. The depth of her knowledge regarding design concepts, products, materials, etc. was apparent. Laura worked closely with us in our multi-decision-making process. She frequently sent us to internet sites regarding product descriptions to better acquaint us with our options. She met us at various showrooms to help us in our selections. She was ALWAYS available to us and returned every phone call within a short time (even on vacation). She was always upfront, honest and realistic with us. The contractor employed by Laura was very professional and his team worked well together. They readily addressed any concerns that we had. Laura has a keen eye for workmanship and expected meticulous work from her team. If she was not completely satisfied with any part of the project she immediately had things corrected to her satisfaction. Laura respected our budget constraints and stayed within them. She frequently provided us with written budget updates as agreed-upon additional expenses occurred. The time line of the project was successfully met. Laura's good natured personality was a joy to work with. She often stated that "she wanted us happy" and happy we are beyond our expectations.

Laura and Jim were consummate professionals,. Easy explanations of all items planned. They were courteous, on time and meticulous, Both strived for client satisfaction and demanded the same from their sub-contractors. I would use Laura of Kitchen designs by Laura and Jim Fied contractors again and highly recommend them to anyone contemplating redesigning a kitchen in all price categories especially upper end. They were resoursceful with great ideas. A great team of experts.

Service was good....Laura stated that it could take about 3 weeks and it did. She seemed to be overwhelmed with home, business and problems associated with business and getting people to work on our project. This was during the peak of the recession and remodeling was what everyone was wanting done, all at the same time. She brought her mobile showroom VAN out to our home to allow us to view some different textures and accessories. The project turned out better than we anticipated (exceeded our expectations). Laura was very professional and always returned our calls and addressed our concerns on a timely basis, in lieu of everything going on. I don't feel as though we were over sold anything and we wanted to use quality products. She gave us several options and always kept our predetermined budget in mind. She was never assuming....her prices were reasonable for what we wanted to receive. Hard working woman!!

I was lucky enough to have Laura Wallace redo my kitchen several years ago. The process was done on time and efficiently. The planning was so good that the process only left me out of a kitchen for about 10 days. And it was a complete makeover! The kitchen came out so well that when it came time to remodel the master bath and facelift the guest bath I had no hesitation whatsoever in calling on Laura again. And again it was efficiently planned and executed. The crews were pleasant and a joy to work with. I highly recommend this Kitchen Design by Laura. Both my projects came out beautifully. The process from planning to execution to finished product exceeded all my expectations. I have sent several friends to her and they have thanked me profusely.
