The owner, Anthony Jones, definitely knows his stuff and did a quality job (after pulling teeth to get him to our property). He was supposed to come out one Friday and call me from the property as I was at work. Never heard from him so when I got home I called and he said he was on his way (he got delayed). 6 Hours late, whatever I'll buy it - I mean if he's willing to come out at 7pm on a Friday, I can respect that. He says he'll email me a quote. Didn't hear from him for a week. I called to see what was going on. He said he needed to take another look and get a quote. This time he gave me a soft quote of $700-800. I told him that wasn't going to work, but I was impressed with his understanding of the system and all that I wanted done so I wanted to work with him. We negotiated a few tweaks to the order and got down to $500. The day he was supposed to come out to start the job, he said he'd be there before 9am. I took off work to oversee some landscape installation. He doesn't show, so I call him at 10. "Yes sir, we are on the way... probably 30 minutes out. We got delayed". Conveniently, his office is 30 minutes from my house - I'm seeing a trend... Once he arrives, he begins the work with his brother and they start digging around only to realize, our dirt is so compact, it would take days just to dig the trench they need. He leaves to go rent a Trencher. He doesn't come back until about 5 or 6pm, leaving his brother behind without a job to do (super nice guy for what its worth). The trencher wasn't available so he says he'll come back tomorrow morning. Sigh. So he comes back the next day. Meanwhile, I'm trying to coordinate landscape installation, sod installation, and irrigation installation, all of which have to be done in specific order. So every delay of one contractor was only adding to the stress/chaos. He shows up, and the poor guys work all day and through Tsunami-like storms in the late afternoon. They nearly finished but forgot a drip line in one area. He said he'd come back tomorrow. Sigh. He doesn't show and I have no way of knowing until I get home. I call him, straight to voicemail. Tried a few more times until the next morning at 9, he answered. I told him the weed barrier and sod was going in mid-day, we HAVE to get this drip line in before that. He said no problem. I crossed my fingers and when I got home, sure enough, it was done. Now that the job is done, he reaches out to me for payment (ironically the first and only time he made the effort to contact me). He says because they had to rent a trencher, it would cost me an additional $150. I said that was unacceptable as we agreed on a price and you were fully aware of what you were up against before taking the job. He tried to tell me that's why he originally quoted me higher to account for unforeseen situations like this. I was very unhappy with this sudden change and told him I appreciated the work and effort he put in so I'm willing to give you an additional $100 but I'm disappointed you didn't tell me as you were going to rent the trencher. I probably would have been completely fine with paying it, had he communicated this in the first place! Sigh. Would I hire him again? I guess. He did a fantastic job. However, I would recommend that you call him every day to ensure he meets your time frame and be aware the price could change.

We were given Mr. Jones's name from a Sarasota irrigation parts supplier. When we called he set up a morning appointment four days out. He arrived early and listened carefully as I described our problems. He inspected the system and found heads and zones I didn't even know we had. He proceeded to mark every sprinkler and adjust each, digging around every head to make sure it was at the proper height and then adjusting the spray. When necessary he replaced nozzles and spray heads. At our request he provided and installed and new timer control center at a very reasonable price. He then showed me how to operate the system. Very efficient, very professional and a pleasure to work with.
