James Dewitt Lawn Service

I was planning a month-long vacation to Italy and Sicily and needed this company to mow my lawn so that it would look like someone was home during that time period. They provided excellent service almost a year ago when I needed someone until I recovered from knee replacement surgery, so I naturally asked James if he could mow my lawn once during the week of June 8 and once during the week of June 22. He agreed to fit me into his schedule and asked that I remind him again at the end of May. I texted him 5/27 with the specific request as stated above. And, more importantly, specifically left one of my side gates unlocked the entire time I was gone so that he would have access to the backyard. (Obviously, as a single woman, I was uncomfortable doing that while being overseas but it was necessary). When I returned home almost a month later it was very clear that he and his crew never showed up the entire time that I was gone. In fact my neighbor kindly paid her lawn service $10 just to do my front yard when he finished with hers so it would look like someone actually lived there. I've had difficulties communicating with James before - most of which centered around the cost of doing business with him. I thought those issues were resolved but this was the first time he failed to show. Unfortunately for him (and me) it will be his last. I find it very tedious to remind a contractor over and over about the services I need to be performed. I will be searching for a more reliable lawn service immediately.

I would highly recommend their lawn service. Have gone through several other companies and this is far better than any of the others I have used.

More recently, we asked for additional help in some minor fence repair and earth work which was not part of their regular service. They accommodated us promptly, and completed the work in less than a day. Their charges were quite reasonable. They have consistently responded to our every request, and consulted with us to make sure that we were satisfied with their work.

We made an appointment for James to visit our property and give to us an estimate for lawn maintenance after several disappointing experiences with other similar services. After inspecting our property and discussing our needs, we agreed on a monthly arrangement that seemed appropriate. We have been very pleased with the work he does, his friendly, cooperative attitude, and his regular notification by telephone of his planned visits or of any unforeseeable delays. On occasion, this has enabled us to adjust his services to our schedule for family visits or to add special attention to his regular work. We have been very pleased, and would recommend him to anyone in need of quality, responsible lawn care.

They did a fantastic job! The price was very reasonable for all the work that he did.
