Initially, Peter seemed great. He removed an oak tree, hired someone for stump removal, and designed and planted a large bed in the front of my house. I hired him to do regular maintenance. It was late spring, and I had to leave for three months. I advised him that my neighbors and house sitter would be around checking on everything during my absence. Throughout the summer I received photos showing total neglect of my property: Overgrown grass and hedges, dead plants and weed overgrowth. Each time I reached out to Peter he had an excuse, but shorty afterward would do his job. After about the third time, he became rude and,insulting. I was so taken back that actually asked him if he was high. Upon my return, I asked him where I was on his schedule, so that we could discuss in person, the dead plants that needed to be replaced (at his expense). He had obviously made some wrong choices as to what plants were appropriate. Each week he had an excuse not to show up. Finally, after a month, I gave up and fired him, resigned to fix things myself. He was again, quite rude. I find all previous reviews hard to believe. Perhaps he submitted them,or had friends do it. When I rehired my previous landscape company, they said they wondered what to me so long to lose the jerk. My neighbor had hired them several months earlier, so they witnessed the season long neglect.

Peter did our landscaping and given we were renting the property we wanted someone who could also provide the full lawn service. The service started fine but we were getting periodic feedback from our tenants that they were not showing up on a regular basis. Our tenants also sent photos of things not being taken care of. When we reached out to Peter he was very confrontational and aggressive. Over the a period of seven months, the incidences increased and service kept declining. I finally reached out to another provider who walked the property and shared some tough things with us, money we were charged for services was not being reflected in the condition of the property. Over the last period someone had changed the sprinkler zones to five minutes and all our new sod was dying, Sprinkler heads were grown over and others were broken. When you are paying someone $250 a month for full service and extra for mulch, our property should not look the way it does. Nothing was being maintained, overgrown bushes, weeds in the paver driveway, palm tree frods , you name it, not doing their job. Very disappointed in how this turned out.

Green Hornet exceeded my expectations. My landscape was very colorful and dramatic, as I requested. Pete made certain the plants were sustainable with an adjusted sprinkler system. I recommend him highly.

Went perfectly. No complaints here. Peter the owner worked side by side with his hard working staff. My job was labor intensive. Lots of dirt had to be moved. They worked hard lifting the concrete stone for the wall.

Did great job at a fair price. Landscaping, irrigation, and SOD applied after pool was built. The SOD was nice and green with no weeds. The irrigation had to be re-connected and plants and palms were planted. All came out very nice.

Peter was a very responsive professional. The same day we contacted him he was on site providing a preliminary estimate. We iterated the quote/job 6-7 times until it was in line with what we needed and Green Hornet was able to do all the work within a weeks time. Peter helped us with our HOA review and was on site as promised and did all the work we agreed to. My bride was very pleased with the results.

Pete was great to work with! We first used Green Hornet to trim some trees the Wednesday before Thanksgiving. I had called Pete the day before and he came in the next day to do the work. He is very punctual and professional! A few weeks later, we ended up redoing our entire front and back yard and I could not be happier! Green Hornet is well priced, punctual, and they get the job done fast! We went from talking landscape options to having a whole new yard in less than one week! Would highly recommend them.

Peter Walrathis is the best there is! I called literally 30-40 landscaping companies to help with my 12,000 square foot lot, my front yard and backyard was a disaster. I called companies in Nokomis, Sarasota, Bradenton, Tampa, called everybody on angie's list, craigslist, references through contractors, I called everybody I possibly could. I had so many landscapers go to the house, it was a mad house. The quotes came pouring in. Out of all these companies, Peter was the only one that had true creativity and talent to beautify the landscape. His price also beat all 30 to 40 companies. Not only was every company's price 6k to 8k, but they all had poor ideas on how the landscaping would actually come out. First day he was at my house, he went into depth on the names of trees and plants and what he thought was best to make the landscaping look good. His description was a million times better than everybody else, this is very important when designing the landscaping. He did the front yard and back yard and put in irrigation all for $3500, half price of everybody else. Price was half and he had the absolute best design and ideas and knew the names of all the trees and plants. I said one of the names of plants to another landscaper, and he was like "whats that?" Peter even is cutting my grass monthly for free until the house sales, amazing. I highly recommend using Peter because he won out of 40 companies on having the best price and the best design ideas. Peter is very talented and will work with you on price so you are in your budget and happy!

When I first called the owner Pete had come out almost immediately providing a honest and clear cut quote. I had spoken to him about my concerns and found him to be genuinely concerned in addressing each one with great resolve. He was even able to fit in the job ahead of schedule, checked in with me and agreed to follow up on a few stragglers. His services were worth every penny. Hire them!!

First day two guys worked for 3 hours. Second day two guys worked for 5 hours. Third day two guys worked for maybe 5 hours give or take with a third guy running a truck for rocks 2-3 times. For this i paid $1500 in labor (if you are keeping track that means $125 an hour for labor). Ok. Knowing the planter needed to be cemented I thought this would be done the first day so the cement could set before the put rocks in. The planter was worked on on the last day. The work on it wasn't completed. But I didn't know this until they had put rocks and planted the plants in the old dirt. Not even any new soil and used my neighbors water to water plants. You would think they would have knocked on my door and ask me for the hose. I was told they couldn't put braces in because the bricks are too old and they were falling apart when they tried. Fair enough. They are old but they should have knocked on the door and told me this at the time I feel it was sneaky. Because they didn't even use cement to put the bricks back into place so after a day the planter fell back to where it was before they started work. No weed mat was placed in the planter like there should have been when I asked him about that on the phone after they left when I noticed no mat he told me that it wasn't possible because it's not wide enough. I'm raising the BS flag on that one. The old weed mat which was plastic wasn't removed in all areas. After the first day I went around and looked and ended up pulling old rubber edging out myself as they just out rocks over it. Come one people. That's ridiculous. I have one less plant in the planter than I was supposed to have and I don't even know what was actually used on my yard because I was not given an invoice. Only the estimate he gave me two weeks before work started. A sharp edge on the metal edging was left and I was told he was going to come back and out a piece over it so someone would not get hurt in it that never happened. I feel as does my Dad after he came and saw what ghey had done that I was way overcharged for the work they actually did. I dont even know if i have the right amount of rocks that i was charched for which came to about $800 just for thise because he was very surprised to see 6 tons on the estimate when I showed him.

The job went well. Peter showed up on time with two other men, sorry I don't know their names. All 3 worked extra hard to complete the job in one day.

They are quite close to me. The man was really responsive. The quote was reasonable. I still haven't chosen an landscaper. I have some pretty specific issues with my lawn. I need someone technically more trained than he was. However, he is still in my mind as an possible choice. He is really personable. Very knowledgeable, and very responsive. It is not about the cost, but whether I can create shade on my house after the lightning strike. Ect. Ect. Its an specific need. I didn't see his work, but the estimate was responsive. He almost didn't call me back. His listing on my needs on Angie's List, he had to pay twenty dollars to get the information. I thought that was really weird. I wrote an note to Angie's List about that. I didn't join Angie's List, I did the free thing. It didn't say anything about charging the contractor. No one got back to me. I kind of wrote Angie's List off. I didn't use his services. I thought the service was reasonable. He didn't draw a picture, which I would of like. Even an sketch of what it would like. I'm not good at visualizing. He was responsive to what I needed. Which was building the landscape around my house. It was as expected as expected. I haven't used them yet.

Great job by Green Hornet. Pete is very responsive, he worked within our budget and the end result is fantastic! My wife is happy so I consider this job a win.

Pete and his team worked extra hard to complete the job to our high standards. We had a scope of work change that was done fairly and his team was always making sure we were satisfied with the work. Our yard looks fantastic and a great job overall.

Pretty well initially, but disappointed in the after sale follow up. Several plants were weak when planted, and the company noted these plants and offered to change them out later. About 3 months after the sale, a different plant died. When we called to ask about the 2 weak plants and one dead plant, we were then notified that because of the great price we were given, there was no warranty on the plants, so we asked for a quote for this, and some additional metal edging. Now, 6 months later, still no weak plants replaced, and no quote for the additional work requested. I think we offended them in some way.

-Removed old mulch & weeds in front yard & old plumbs & old plants on day one.-Day two placed new soil.-day three moot of sod placed,new plants.-day four rock placed,sod complete.-Avner & Cuer were very friendly & helpful.Urge recommended to everyone we know!

The entire project went smoothly and Pter was easy to work with. I would highly recommend him and his crew.

It's only him and two other guys, but they did landscaping on our house and he designed it and everything and he did very good. I think his prices are very good too. He put some fruit trees in, planned a lawn, and he put an irrigation system for the plants in front of our house. He works out of his house. He is very dependable, and I think he is very reasonable and the guy is a hard worker. He's got two other people. Things are starting to slow down now because our grass is growing slowly. I would recommend him and I tell everybody I know about him. If for some reason he can't get there, he'll call you up and let you know he is running late. A lot of people don't do that. And he does lawns and landscaping, and he does pressure washing and he will do painting of the house if you want him to because he has got a group of people who will do that. We have used him for like three years.
