We were purchasing the property from out-of-state and Geoffrey Menard repeatedly assured us prior to and during closing that the pool equipment was in "orderly working condition". However, we found that not to be the case and despite multiple visits from them prior to our move-in date, they never resolved the issues. When we arrived we found the equipment to be in extreme disrepair; the main pool pump was missing the o-ring on the strainer basket and therefore not circulating water, the timer for the pump was missing the on/off tabs so the pump was running (dry) 24 hours a day, the spa main pump was leaking, the spa air switch turned on neither the boost pump nor the blowers, both spa pump strainer covers were cracked, and none of the pressure gauges (on either filter, or the distribution head near the pool) were functional. In addition, the cleaner jets on the bottom of the pool were completely nonfunctional. We also discovered that Drew's had installed a poor condition used filter as a quick-and-dirty means of stringing the system along until after the home sale completed. They exhibited dishonesty and incompetence throughout our multiple-week attempts to get them to resolve the issues, and we finally had to move on because our pool was turning green with algae.
Description of Work: Drew's had been hired by the previous owner to bring the pool equipment into "orderly working condition" prior to closing our purchase of the property. This was supposed to include ensuring that the main pool pump and filter as well as the spa pump, filter, and blowers were functioning properly.
