New clients receive a FREE service call with paid repairs! D&W Air Conditioning is a family owned and operated business with a main office located in Sarasota, Florida and a sub-office located in Palm Harbor, Florida. We have been in business since 2000 and currently operate with 13 employees. All workers are employed by us and we do not sub out any work done. We are a certified state air conditioning contractor working under license # CAC1815573. We use both flat-rate pricing so you know what you will be paying before the work has been commenced. We offer most brands of Products for new residential and commercial installation. Discounted service rates are available to Angie's list members.

Description of Work: Upon arriving in Florida in mid-November I discovered that my A/C had been put out of order by Hurricane Irma. The motor had been wrecked, a transformer zapped, and a few other items destroyed. A telephone call quickly had D&W getting back to me with a three hour window for a diagnosis. The technician arrived and stayed into the evening, after dark as the damage required more time than was originally thought. Replacement parts were ordered that evening, and next morning another technician appeared around 10 am, with a new motor. Half an hour later the work was done, the A/C was working and things were back to normal. In addition, my warranty contract kept costs to very little, a definite bonus. Both technicians, as usual, were competent, efficient, knowledgable, polite and friendly.

Description of Work: The service tech went to the property at 3783 Desoto Road, and checked both AC systems. One AC system was working fine, but the other AC system required a replacement part, which then allowed the system to run properly.

Very professional and curtious, however could not use due to price discrepancy of about $1400 more than the other vendor for the identical unit. However I still recommend very highly for the service if indeed competative with others. | Note: The inspection price of $95 as recalled and may bot be accurate. One can call and conform the actual priece charged.

My A/C was not working. I chose D & W from the phone book because it said they were family owned and operated. They came out almost immediately after my call. Tim, my serviceman, was very pleasant, polite and thorough in giving me a quote. Unfortunately, I needed a whole new A/C unit. They were able to come out the next day to replace my unit. In the meantime, Doug, the owner of the company, brought a portable A/C unit to my house which kept my bedroom very cool. I was extremely grateful since it was the middle of the summer and brutally hot outside. He really went above and beyond to keep me comfortable until they could complete the job. When the crew came to replace my A/C they were also very pleasant and polite. They did a great job in cleaning the entire jobsite when they were through. I would definately recommend them to my friends and I will be sure to call them in the future for all my A/C and heating problems!
