They were on time and very nice. He new his business and even gave me some helpful hints on my air filters. I will use them again.

He was awesome! He figured our the problem, went the extra mile and fixed it all for the Angies list special offer price. I was so impressed I bought a twice a year service agreement and a custom filter. I have owned a construction company and have had many employees, this company from what I have seen with Steve is a good one. Phone call follow up was slow, that was my only complaint.

Steve was our technician who came out today...He was AWESOME! He thoroughly explained everything as he went. He took his time to answer all our questions. He offered advice on a new thermostat but wasn't pushy about it. He was not one of these guys who immediately launch into the "you need a new A.C. unit" along with a myriad of service plans. Service plans were discussed, but the work at hand was the most important focus. He was a really nice guy, extremely knowledgeable and talented. We did end up buying a one year service plan because it was a really good deal, and they took today's Angie's List special of 55.00 off the service plan for us. He was "yes, sir" and "no, ma'am" all the way through the visit. We actually enjoyed this service call, and my finance followed him around every step of the way asking questions, and it didn't bother him a bit. He was so nice, at the end of the service call, he said, "Welcome to the family" (it's a family owned business, which we really like) and shook my guy's hand and gave me a hug. I hugged him right back. Excellent service tech, haven't had any better. We will ask for him specifically should we have any problems this coming year.

D & W was fantastic, on time and well qualified. Steve was my Technician and was a total professional. They serviced my home property and like them so much had them service my commercial also. Great company and great pricing.

I got 2 other bids from Angie's list, and D&W had the best price. They showed up on the day/time that was promised. The crew behaved professionally. I observed the work and noted the little things such as all mounting screws were installed, and the unit and pad were level. They worked efficiently and in about 4 hours had the entire unit replaced. The permit was pulled and the county inspector was satisfied. They had to come back and install the sheet metal over the duct work, which had to be costumed made. Again they arrived on time and installed the duct work cover and wire mesh under the unit and the final product looks great. I had noted before they started the amount of KW's that my old Unit was drawing, and found the new 16 Seer was using 39% less electric when it was running. While it is difficult to determine the actual efficiency of the new versus old unit, it is comforting to know that every hour the new unit runs saves me 40% on my electric bill update 9-6-2013 The shroud (Sheet metal that goes from the outside unit to the house and houses the vents running into the house) has started to oxidize and in several places outright rust. I mentioned this to D&W and they told me to wash it and clean it. The oxidization has actually pitted the metal, and no amount of scrubbing will remove the discoloration. At this stage it looks like I will have to try to sand out the pitted material and paint the shroud. I was hoping to avoid painting it because this will add another item to be painted and probably will not reflect the sun's ray as well. I hope the company discontinues with this sheet metal supplier and goes with one who offers higher quality in the future.

It want very well. He gave us tips on how to keep the air conditioner in good shape, such as by using bleach to kill mold in the pipes. Being from Chicago, we wouldn't have thought of it.

They are great. I would recommend them. The owner is very involved and talked to me about my level of satisfaction.

D&W was very helpful and professional from the initial estimate all the way through installation of the new A/C system. D&W were prompt, and took the time to analyze the system needs and were cost effective with the installation. I would certainly highly recommend them for HVAC work.

The service technician was professional, punctual and thorough. I've heard many times how HVAC companies say freon is needed as a way to jack up the bill since freon is extremely expensive. I was disappointed when the D & W guy said I needed it but based on the company's Angie's List ratings and the technician's professionalism, I believed him, or wanted to believe him. The technician said there is a freon test they can perform, for an additional $150, but he would defer that since the caps were on loose and he hoped that was why my unit was low. Just like dealing with a car mechanic, the customer is dependent on the honesty and integrity of the technician/company when it comes to issues like freon. Had D & W not had such a high rating I would have assumed I was being scammed. I signed a service contract with D & W and they were very accommodating regarding the billing.

They did a really good job. They were very easy to get in touch with; they sent an appointment right away. The guy showed up on-time. He was professional. He evaluated the entire HVAC system here and made a couple of recommendations, changed the filter, just checked the unit overall and just gave everything a good going-over. If there was any - I don't even want to say it was a negative - but he did attempt to sell other services and I don't want to call that a negative only because everybody does it. And I'm in business myself and you can't grow it if you don't sell additional services, so. There was nothing that we needed additional, but he did offer other services. And he gave a very detailed explanation of what he did. And we just felt like they really did a nice job, so we wanted to continue with them.

Ted from the company, D&W Heating and Air Conditioning, came out to do the routine maintenance and checking that was a published "Special" on Angie's list. I have no way of really knowing if he preformed the mainentance that I paid for however I do feel that they used this opportunity to get in my house to try to upsell me an entirely new indoor handler and outdoor unit. Ted stated that all my intake ducts needed to be replaced as well as the air handler and as long as we were at it the outdoor unit which was new in 2007. The indooe unit is 2004. His reasoning is that there was the presence of "Mold on my air handler blades as well as the intake ducts, but surprisingly on on the ducts that bring the cold and hot air to the rooms themselves (I think that these are called the supply ducts). I had had a house inspection performed by The Krause Group home inspection. I called Ryan Krause and upon my request he return to examine the air handler. He indicated to me that there was dust but absolutely no Mold on the air handler blades nor in the air handler return ducts. He told me that he was a certified mold inspector and that if there was mold there he would be able to identify it. Based upon his findings I think that it is fairly easy to conclude that I was being fooled and a scare tactic was used to try to sell be an entirely new unit at a cost of over $6200. Funny they just happened to have an opening (but only one so I better act fast) 3 days from that date. Shame on Angie's list too for offereing this as a "special." on their site. This would have been a very expensive "Special" had I not had Ryan Krause from The Krause Group to verify the inaccutracy of D&W Heating and Air Conditioning's diagnosis. I will have to be very leary of any future Angie's List "Special's" in the future.

I was impressed with their quality and professionalism. They made sure the unit was installed a lot better than the original installation when house was first built. They came at 9:15AM and left for the day with job cleaned up and complete by 4:00PM never leaving even for lunch. I can't say enough about them an "A" rating all the way.

After having a very bad experience with another company, D & W saved the day. They gave us different options and performed the job efficiently. We are very happy with their service and wholeheartedly recommend this company.

The work was started the following Tuesday and finished the next day April 3rd. D & W's owner even worked in the attic on Wednesday and it was hot! The work was done well and timely with special care not to cause damage to our home in the process. Everyone was friendly, courteous, and conscientious. All debris was cleared out and cleaned by the end of the day Wednesday. We recommend D & W Heating and A/C.

After we agreed on a price, the work was promptly scheduled. The installers were experienced and knowledgeable. They arrived on time and worked steadily to complete the job a a few hours. I am glad I took the time to get a bid from D & W. I would recommend that others do the same.

They were very good on what they do, I would highly recommend them. They were courteous and prompt. They have reasonable prices in their services and they always work clean. I also have no problem getting them to come when I needed them. It's just about everything you could ask a company to be and their work is excellent.
