Their guy came out and told them that the bathroom on the 3rd floor was leaking trough ceiling of the 2nd floor. The toilet clogged and when we try to unclogged it, the waters leaks through the ceiling of our living room. The guy said it was a pipe leak and he told me that he will cut a hold to check the pipe in the living room ceiling. I told him that I cannot recreate the leak until the toilet unclogged. While he's ready to cut the ceiling, I asked him if we can check the wax ring first before cutting a hole and he said "No, this is the right way to go. I'm sure that it's a pipe leak." Then after he cut a hole in the ceiling, he told me to recreate the leak which I already told him I could not do. So he can't determine if it's a pipe leak or not and now I have a hole in the ceiling without figuring where the leaks coming from. So then I paid them because I really don't know what to do by that time. I hired a different plumbing company and figured out that the reason of the leaking was the wax ring and so I have to pay them as well and then I had to pay a drywall company to come out and fix the ceiling. Several months of repairing the damage they cause, I reached out Cool Energy Plumbing Today to request a refund. I also asked an assistance from Angi about the refund. Angi advised to discuss the concern to the company first. Several months of discussion with Cool Energy Plumbing Today and then they finally agreed to pay me over the phone. They said they would refund the costs for fixing the ceiling. They offered $700 minus the payment that I made. So they will refund my payment and write a check for the remainder. 4 months ago since they agreed but few weeks ago that I figured out that they didn't refund anything since then. So I called them 2 weeks ago and they told me that the guy that I'm negotiating with have been fired and they connected me to a new guy and he said he would look into in with his manager and then after a week, I tried to contact them but they are not responding anymore. I told them I don't feel get passing around and being ignored so I will file a complaint to Angi and The BBB.

We were glad that the company sent Douglas Foster to assess the situation of our AC/heater unit, which broke down a few days ago. Doug is technically highly knowledgeable about such systems and thorough in his work. He carried out a complete assessment of our equipment, ducts, etc., and after making calculations, taking measurements, and identifying problems, he explained clearly what elements had broken down and why. He answered questions readily and presented us with several options, including estimates with a number of possible discounts. Besides being very knowledgeable in his field, Doug is congenial, easy to interact with, and professional. He is not one to exert pressure of any type. We have a maintenance plan with Cool Today, which has been helpful in addressing some issues of the past few months. Cool Today responds quickly, keeps in touch, and sends a photo of any technician that might be coming for service. We have been satisfied with their overall service. If we have any questions that come up, we will turn to Doug Foster for his experience.
Description of Work: We received a free, thorough assessment of our heating/AC unit, in the context of our house size and needs, and an estimate of costs involved in repairing or replacing it.

It went terribly. The phone call and getting the inspection set was easy. However, when the plumber showed up, I informed him that the leak had not been recreated since last time when it was clogged. Instead of trying to recreate the leak by running water in other areas of the same bathroom, or trying a less invasive procedure first, like replacing the wax ring, he recommended that it was most likely the pipe. I questioned the decision but went with it. Even right before he cut a hole in the ceiling I stopped him and asked him if it was a better idea to try something else or test things and he said: "No this is the right way to go." Shortly after he cut the hole, he asked me to flush/plunge the toilet and recreate the leak. Which he already was informed of was impossible. When we plunged the toilet, it obviously did nothing. He said it wasn't being recreated and that he was not sure what the issue was. He then suggested replacing the wax ring and tried to get me to buy a service product to save money. This was because the Wax Ring replacement he quoted me was $374.00. $230.00 what above what I was charged by the plumber who fixed the job. I asked him if he knew what we could do if the wax ring didn't fix the issue and he said he wasn't sure. Come to find out from the second plumber, a clogged toilet leak over a wax ring is very common… Also, that clogs create pressurized systems that often lead to small leaks even if the pipes are new. After I denied the wax ring and service plan, the nightmare truly started. Because not only was the plumbing leak not actually addressed, but I also now had to find and coordinate several contractors to patch the drywall on the ceiling of the Living Room of a 7-year-old $300k+ 3-story townhouse. Which as anyone knows, 100% matching knockdown texture on a drywall patch is impossible. Furthermore, painting does not 100%blend either so the entire ceiling would have to be done. So there is an unblended portion of the ceiling all because the plumber, who apparently didn’t listen or doesn’t understand how basic toilet clogs work, decided to cut a hole in my ceiling after I asked him several times if it was a good idea or if there was anything else that could be done.
Description of Work: They cut a hole in the ceiling of the Living Room to access the pipe that connects to the toilet that leaked. They did this without testing the plumbing in the same bathroom beforehand, such as the sink, shower, or the toilet itself. They also knew that the leak was caused by a toilet clog and had not been recreated since it was last clogged. The plumber who eventually fixed this problem did all of those things.
