Description of Work: Had a complete chimney/fireplace inspection including a visual via inspector's phone. As she was doing the inspection she explained everything she was doing and why and also gave us some pointers on things we can do to help with the upkeep of our chimney/fireplace. She found there was some break down of the concrete on the bottom of the fireplace and recommended having a stainless steel plate applied to it to help keep it from breaking down more. She measured for the plate and sent in the order and about 2 weeks later the technician came and applied it. All was done is a timely and efficient manner and if any problems should arise we will definitely give them a call and will keep to their recommended schedule of an inspection in 2 years. They were excellent and we would highly recommend them.

Description of Work: I have been impressed with all of the Chimney Cricket staff. They had to order and manufacture some of the items needed to repair our chimney. I am waiting to hear from them and I expect a call from then within the next several days and we will, at that time, set a date for the replacement and repair work needed on several items within the chimney itself.

Description of Work: Paid significant amount because they said it required a lot of extra staff, ladder etc. however only one guy did the whole job. He was very good but I thought the extra cost was because of the extra staff, equipment etc.

Description of Work: Paid for fireplace cleaning and inspection. Cleaning went fine. The Service Rep said he had no paperwork and they would email me the inspection report, along with a qoute for the work needed. It's been over 2 months and I've received nothing! I've tried contacting them through Angie's List no less than 4 times and received no response. I would not use them again. I now have to contact another company and pay to have another inspection done. Not happy.

Description of Work: The chimney cleaning inspection and maintenance was outstanding. The technician was thorough and explained everything very well. I would have given this company an A+++ except that the actual scheduling was EXTREMELY frustrating and took me following up several times. I pre-paid for the service through Angie's List and selected some possible times for service. The confirmation said I would be contacted in 3 business days. After over a full week, I phoned the company and was told that the person who usually books was on vacation and they didn't know how to do it. They would get back with me that day. They did not. There were a few email exchanges the a few days later and a date was finally set but no time was confirmed. I emailed twice asking for a time confirmation with no response. I finally called, asking for a time. They said they usually call the day before to confirm the time. That doesn't really help when you have to arrange time off with an employer. Again, once the technician is on the job, they are top notch!!!!! It is just getting them to the job that is a challenge.
