I had them out to give estimate. STAY CLEAR!! They gave estimate of 2,800 for a repair on my roof. My insurance company, USAA, has requested multiple times for over a week to get a detailed line by line from them for the estimate. Would never send. Adjuster came to look at the roof, no wonder they wouldn't respond, the job is only a 100 job and Conway Roofing did come later that day and do just that without knowing the adjuster pricing. I'll be filing reports as USAA has already informed Singleton, with BBB, Consumer Affairs, etc... multiple review sites and possible media outlets. This was one of the worst examples of price gauging I've seen. Shame on you, I'm disabled!!!

My experience with this company was wonderful. They were the most reasonable price for a completely new shingle roof with hurricane strapping. They got started earlier than expected, and were done in less than 5 days. The job site was cleaned up every night. Francis was the supervisor on my job, and she was amazing. Came out several times during and after the job to make sure everything was done to my satisfaction. She knows her stuff, and she explained everything to me in detail. She even personally drug the magnet roller through my yard and over my driveway to make sure all the nails and screws were picked up. I had questions on something after the job was done, and she came out again to take a look and explain things. The roof held up wonderfully through Hurricane Irma, with absolutely no damage whatsoever. I would definitely use Alvin J Singleton again.

They were the best quote. The estimate was $12,480 and the price came up to that. They did a good job. They're unusually prompt. I think they started on a Saturday morning, I had forgotten about it and was awakened by somebody ringing the doorbell and pounding on the door. It was them right on time.Their estimator was very efficient, very polite. They sent me an estimate the next day. Their staff was nice to work with. They're just really good folks. The price was excellent.

Perfect! They were able to work me in around this rainy weather.

Roof was done very well. Crew needed more supervision. Did not clean up well and left flat portion of roof exposed leading to rain damage. Credit was given for damages.

I hired Singleton roofing company after interviewed 5 different companies. They had better price and warranty than the rest. However, it was done on my rental property and I trusted them that they would do a good job. And my tenant would notify me if there was any issue. Long story short, I received one phone call from them during the job for a $2k up-charge to install "straps" to my roof because they weren't done properly before. I agreed to get that for additional insurance discount. After that, I never heard back from them even when they finished. Nine months later, I went there to check on my tenants and discovered an unusual black piece of shingle laying on top of my roof and a lot of stucco damaged throughout the house near the edges between the walls and rooflines. All the wood front fascias that they replaced around the house were not painted. I called them to get it check out and it took them more than a week to come. And again, never receive a feedback from them for that inspection. So I sent Jeanie an email to find out the status, she replied back to said there trashes and debris were left on my roof so they cleaned up the mess. She also said painting is not included so I need to paint those wood. The bad part is, they never told me about it and so my house went through the whole rain & winter season with unpainted wood fascia. Two weeks later, I noticed they didn't paint any of the flashes. I emailed Jeanie again and she said she will look into it and have Mr. Singleton contact me. Two weeks later, I emailed her again and she said she'll look into it. Now it's 2 months later, and nothing has been done about it and no phone or email from them. Really terrible communications with their office staffs and services. Won't do business with them again!

Looking through the many roofing offers through Angies list it was decided on 5 companies for price and option matching. What was advertised on Angies List was $6000 to refroof a normal size house. However, apparently 2000sf of living space is mansion size based on the average of the doubled amounted quotes received. I contacted Alvin J Singleton roofing based on having not only the lowest price, but references listed, length of business, and more so, the good ratings on Angies list. Instead of the 10wk proposed scheduled start date, the job began within 2 weeks of signing the paperwork. They started on a Monday, all men on site did not speak a lick of English and by end of the day roof material pretty much was everywhere. Although they cleaned up each night before leaving, I can say I still did need to go over every space and have to pick up roofing nails and felt(?) as well as brush off my lanai that had shingle remnants. That Wednesday I received a very loud and harsh toned call from the Office Manager, Jeannie, informing me that as a result of the permit not being placed outside I had failed the inspection and would be responsible for any charge. With the permit located inside the house since the start of job and not being told otherwise, I think this particular call could of be handled much more professional. There was some repair work that needed to be done that included a new flange for the chimney and rotted wood replacement. In all areas of fascia (?) the wood that was replaced will need to be cleaned up by a professional. Wood alignment is off, exposed gutter screws, screws cracking wood and screws just plain missed and are exposed. The excessive amount of caulking used will need to be removed and reapplied for painting. The flange ordered for the chimney was incorrectly measured the first time and was not completed until a month later. During that month very little communication was initiated by this company to update me of project status and invoice information. Bottom line - I probably would not recommend this company.

the truck with two young men came as I was leaving for an appointment - I returned within the hour -gone about 50 minutes. when I returned the men had completed their job -and already gone. I went up on the roof to check the job - They had removed a few tiles put a pc of rubber like material on leak area about 1 or 2 sq ft total. They put some patching material on the adjacent garage wall along with some calk, and that was it. It has since not leaked so they did a good job. What gets me was the $550.00 charge. I called and complained they gave me the spiel -"We have overhead, you were quoted this etc. I was quoted this and I did pay the bill and honored my commitment. But think they should have acknowledged that $550.00 is a lot of money for what was such an easy and quick job - especially for a repeat customer - which I was, as their first job for me was much more in line with the work that they did to the cost they charged. I learned a good lesson from this, that I pass unto you, NEVER USE SINGLETON UNLESS YOU GET OTHER QUOTES - EVEN IF YOU HAVE USED THEM BEFORE. They do good work - but if I ever used them again - I will be sure to get other quotes

lt was a pleasure to note that they honor their warranty and acted promptly and efficiently.

We have a tile roof and the leak, in the garage area, required removal of the tile and replacement of the plywood underneath. The tiles on our roof were carefully removed and replaced after the repair was completed which saved me some money. We also had a roof leak in the back area of our home where our roof abuts the roof of my neighbors home, called a "Cricket Area, or "dead valley". In order to solve this problem I obtained two quotes, but it was Singleton Roofing who knew exactly what the problem was and how to fix it. My neighbor agreed and we jointly fixed the entire cricket solving the problem. Singleton Roofing was professional, knowledgeable, prompt and their price was fair. I would recommend them as a Roofing Company to contact if you have a problem. or need a new roof.

It went very well. They were prompt and did a great clean up. It only took about 2 1/2 days. I would definitely recommend them.

We had a problem with our roof after a lot of heavy rain. When we started calling some service providers; they were really tied up with business. One of them recommended who they would use; and they recommended Alvin J Singleton Roofing. We have a shingled roof and some of the heavy rain had been coming in down along our wall inside. 1 guy came out and talked to us and gave us an estimate and set up a date. Then 2 technician came out and it didn't take long for them to do the work, about 45 minutes. They knew what they were doing and fixed the leak for us. They also did some sealing around our solar panels too. One was on the roof and one was in the attic. We were happy with their knowledge in telling us that all the wood inside was still good; but mentioned that in about 3+ years we would have to have a new re-roof of shingle redo. I also want to add that they were on time too.

It went as scheduled and as quoted. They did a good job. There was one small leak which they came back and took care of right away. We have had a good experience with them and would use them again.
