Description of Work: He put some drywall up in our new home. We had a closet closed off in the living room and hung a light also. Even some minor electrical work.

 + 0 moreJim did drawings of the project for a building permit, and then he and his assistant worked rapidly and efficiently. The project was approved by the inspector, and he closed the wall up with drywall. After taping and mudding, the wall looked like new. I might add that he did a number of other small projects--both things he noticed (a rear door that was hard to open before he worked on it) and some smaller things that had been bothering me. His work was meticulous, he cleaned up every night, and was in good humor throughout. I recommend him strongly.
Description of Work: Rebuilt an interior wall (once an exterior wall, now interior since patio has been enclosed) that had severe water and termite damage. We were unaware of this problem when we purchased the house, but after removing some old panelling the damage was revealed. Because we were unable to ascertain the amount of the damage without opening up the wall (and possibly the ceiling) further, we agreed to do the work on a time and materials basis. Jim showed me a number of photographs of a similiar project he had done before (a damaged support wall on a two-story house), and I was confident that he could handle our job.
