Diagnosed AC electrical problem

The service turned out exactly what we expected. Everything was as advertise as they were punctual and have excellent comeback. Everything was very good. We agreed to have them come every six months to clean our evaporator.

We purchased our vacation home just over a year ago and decided to have the system serviced. We received a card in the mail at home from Air Experts that said it was time for our annual maintenance. We could not recall the name of the installer & service provider that was on our system in FL & we were 1500 miles away. I called Air Experts to confirm it was the same company (the name was very similar) and they told me that Yes, they had previously done the work on our system and we were entitled to a free check-up. Once we arrived in FL, we realized they had lied and were not the same company at all, but our appointment was scheduled and we were only there for a short time, so we decided to keep it. The person who showed up was quite young which put us off a bit. He told us we had mold all over within our system and that our UV light needed to be moved. He told us he also could use a machine to clean our ducts and all of this would be around $750. We weren't happy about that and told him to just do standard maintenance. Then he offered to do all the same work for $300, but only if we agreed to make the check out to him personally. We knew he was scamming the system as the paperwork would show $0.00 for our free check-up, but we were concerned with the mold that was clearly visible within the HVAC system. He was a little brash and was walking all around our house, so he wasn't very professional but he was very polite. He did the work and everything was fine - that's why I give them a C and not an F, but we knew it was a scam. We have since had the original provider come and do an inspection, and will be buying a service package from the original provider for all future work.

Since we bought the house this was the only company that gave us a fair price and quality service.

It went great. They were prompt and very responsive. Gave some good advice on keeping the unit clean and hassle free. They were very reasonable on price. I would definately recommend them and use them again the future.

The technician was very polite, professional, knowledgeable. he explained what I needed to do & why. I purchased the uv light & surge protector. He was also efficient and near in his work.

I had a terrific experience with Air Experts in 2012 and was impressed with the quality of the work of the mechanic that performed the service of my recently purchased Cape Coral home that was built in 1986. So in Early 2013 I had requested an estimate & received one from Air Experts that I agreed to however the salesman refused to give me a detailed invoice of the equipment to be used I cancelled the order and requested a refund which I received. I was dealing with a salesman who I have been since told that has been terminated. I continued to get additional estimates & one day a young lady contacted me and apologized for my bad experience and proceeded to convince me that the company was committed to customer satisfaction ( don't recall her full name right now either Deena or Dorian please excuse me) however she won me over and set an appointment with me to meet with Kevin McManus to visit and set everything straight which he did. Was on time and walked me through every thing and went above & beyond by suggesting taking my existing unit out of the garage attic and relocating to a small closet in the Garage. Of the other 4 estimates that I received not one suggested to do the same We had a little hick up with the scheduling but worked it out with Julie. On the day of installation I was very impressed with the installation crew and the work that they performed. They were very professorial & extremely clean with all they did they were there until 7:30 PM and did an outstanding job. Unfortunately I had to leave for NY but was able to schedule the duct cleaning & town inspection with Julie for May when I return.

We were sent a notice that our AC was soon to go out of warranty. As a result when our AC quit working, we called them thinking they were the ones that had maintained the unit and would know best what we needed. Did we ever get taken for a ride. 1. They had never worked on our AC and there was no warranty to be addressed. 2. They spent 2 hours checking everything out and finally getting the unit to work. 3. They told us the compressor had locked up but fortunately they were able to use a massive amount of freon to freeze it and get it to work. However, there was no guarantee on how long it would keep working. 4. We were informed that we needed to purchase a new compressor and the air handler (basically the whole unit). They could offer us a great deal to replace it and would reduce the charge for this call. 5. Not knowing any difference, we signed up to get a new unit as soon as we could afford it. They took a $500 deposit toward the new unit that was going to cost us $5,500 for a 4 ton Rheem. 6. A couple of weeks later we started getting phone calls asking when we wanted to schedule the replacement. 7. Curiously we decided to get a second opinion. We are very happy we did. The unit was not broken. The repairman had only changed the capacitor and told us the charge was more than $700. 8. Our unit does not need to be replaced and the compressor once it locks up cannot be unlocked no matter what one does.

Today there were no real complaints with them. In the past they made a visit and recommended replacing parts that had recently been replaced. They didn't make those recommendations this time.
