On the day of the delivery, they were having trouble getting the couch through the door. I asked them to take the door off, but they wouldn't do it. I had to get the salesman on the phone to tell them to do it. They eventually got the couch in but they broke a light fixture during the process. I couldn't replace the light fixture, so I drove around to about 8 places to try to get it fixed. I contacted Home Place about it, and they said to give them the repair bill so they could give it to Fox Delivery. I have yet to receive payment. I contacted Daniel Fox, and he keeps brushing me off. He's told me multiple times that the check was in the mail, but I still have never received it. This past Monday, 9/12/11, he said he'd drop it off himself later that day, and he never showed up. I called this morning, and all I got was his voicemail. On the voicemail I said I would take other action if I didn't receive the check by the next day. I both opened a complaint with Angie's List and also called the home office of the company. Today, 9/16/11, I heard from the Home Place that there was a check for $75 waiting for me to pick up. I haven't cashed the check yet but I am hoping it will go through and I will have the money I was owed. I would advise you to avoid doing business with this company. Even though they ultimately paid me back, I had to go through much aggrivation and spend a lot of time in order to get the money.
Description of Work: I purchased a new leather couch from Home Place Furniture, and they subcontract Fox Delivery Service for the delivery.
