 + -1 moreTurfmaster has been caring for my yard for over a year, I did notice yellowing on my scallop edging and the side of the home. It would not wash off. Last time I got a treatment, it was sprayed all over my seashells and yard art and it will not come off! He came to inspect it and said there was nothing he could do, it does not come off of concrete edging or stuff like my seashells and art. Quite disappointing as some of these items cannot be replaced, nor did he offer any solutions. Word of warning!!! If you value your pretty yard, do not hire them!

 + 0 moreAbout a year and a half ago I had my yard completely resodded. My neighbor had a green lawn and recommended Turfmaster. I began service with them and within 30 days I started seeing several varieties of weeds. Turfmaster came out a couple of times in between the quarterly standard treatments and treated to kill the weeds and a few of them died, but the new weed growth was way more than the weeds they were killing. One section in particular had many weeds that were spreading rapidly and brown spots were starting to spread as well. Turfmaster continued to tell me I needed to let the treatments work. The treatments did not work, and basically killed the grass and the weeds continued to spread. Today I have about a third of my lawn dead and weeds growing like crazy as you can see in the pics. Other parts of the lawn are green alright, but the green is weeds not grass. I called to cancel my service and obtain my one service call cost refund under their guarantee. They cancelled the service (did not seem to be too concerned) and told me someone would call to set up an inspection. No call has come. Would not recommend as service is not effective and they do not stand behind their work. They really should pay to have the parts of my new lawn resodded since I paid them to keep all of this from happening.

 + -1 moreWe went with Turfmaster a little more than a year ago with my personal property and all my rental properties. Two of my rentals had new sod when we started with them. Here we are now and a few of my rentals have terrible looking grass. I have been promised several times over the last few months that they were going to come fix their mistakes, but received nothing. Lies and empty promises from this company. We now have to re sod one of our properties and have some major work on the others. When we got quotes from other companies to replace Turfmaster they all said there was no reason for my properties to look so bad if a good company was doing their job. One guy even laughed and questioned if I seriously had a company taking care of my lawns. Save yourself the hassle and heartburn and go with a company that knows what they are doing. I would not recommend this company at all.

 + -1 moreMy landlord used this company to treat Bahia grass for weeds and fertilization as a 1 time treatment. He did not hire them for ongoing service. Also, I wasn't around when they first did their thing but the weeds were a HUGE problem 2-3 months after the initial treatment. So I called them back out for a service call and they agreed but came about 1 week later. That was too long in my opinion. Then when they did come out it was very very clear exactly where they sprayed cause all the weeds were dead in a path about 3 feet wide that was made as the tech walked throughout my yard. it is a big yard but by no means did he spray the whole thing... They didn't tell me he was just going to do a spot treatment and only treat a small portion of the lawn. About 2 weeks after that I was finally able to get in touch with the tech (it only took about 2 days for him to call me back) and he admitted he had only treated PART of the lawn but acted like thats all he was planning to do. Again, this didn't impress me. I agreed to use them for service thinking I would give them another shot because they were a good bit cheaper than other services I've used in the past but he said he wouldn't be coming out until a month or so later and its now 2 weeks later and my grass is mysteriously dying in the back... Not sure why or what happened but this company is not very quick with their return calls or service calls and hasn't impressed me on anything but their price... Trying someone else. Again...

 + -1 more7/1/10: First application today - the tech spent about 30-40 minutes treating. He told me to expect major improvements in 2-4 weeks. I'll follow up in several months with an overall report. 9/17/10: I will give them one more month and then they will be on the list of lawn care services that I don't recommend along with two other lawn care companies. Still looking for a reputable lawn service that does what the sales rep says they will do. Haven't found them yet and getting closer to doing it myself.
Description of Work: 7/1/10: Just started using Turfmaster based on a recommendation that they have my friends lawn looking like a golf course. I just fired a lawn care company for letting my lawn decline. This is a smaller lawn service and I told them my expectations are for attention to detail, a great lawn all the time, and weeds always under control. They were very prompt about returning my call, getting the sales rep out to walk my property, and getting the tech started with my service. Initial service was granular and liquid fertilizer, weed control, shrub care. I was promised a dramatic improvement in 2-4 weeks. Same thing I saw when I started the previous lawn care company. I'll follow up after a few months to update my experience with Turfmaster. The tech did tell me that liquid lawn fertilizer only lasts for about 2 weeks so the granular slow release is really needed as well. 9/17/10: Follow up report on Turfmaster since hiring them in July. Lawn weeds are still a problem. The granular fertilizer they apply does a good job but the lawn weeds are still an issue. The tech does not come out when I have asked and is sometimes a week after I call. The original tech I started with left the company a week after he serviced my lawn so I have a new person who knows nothing about my yard. I had to explain it for a third time. (first to the sales rep, second to the initial tech, and third to the new guy). While the new tech has a good attitude, his spreader broke on his first visit. He didn't return for a week.

 + -1 moreI just started using their services this year. My neighbor recommended them. In one instance, I noticed bugs in the yard which triggers lawn moths. I contacted them and they immediately came to treat the yard for no additional charge. I have recommended them to others as they have offered me consistent services. The charge is based on one treatment for my yard.
Description of Work: I do not have any formal contract. The company comes every 4 to 6 weeks to tend to my 125 x 85 foot yard. On the last visit, they applied fertilizers and weed control chemicals.

 + -1 moreI HAVE BEEN A CUSTOMER FOR SEVERAL YEARS NOW. THERE ARE SO MANY FERTILIZATION AND TREATMENT COMPANIES OUT THERE ONE WOULD THINK ONE WOULD BE RESPONSIVE TO A SEASONED CUSTOMER. IN JULY MY YARD HAD AN AREA THAT GOT CINCH BUGS. TURFMASTER CAME OUT AND DID THEIR REGULAR TREATMENT WITHOUT A WORD ABOUT MY PROBLEM AREA OR TREATMENT OF IT. I WASN'T SURE INITIALLY WHAT THE PROBLEM WAS BUT HAD DECIDED TO GET QUOTES FROM A COUPLE OTHER COMPANIES SINCE I WASN'T REAL HAPPY WITH THE OVERALL SERVICE. IT WAS IN THE PROCESS OF GETTING QUOTES I WAS TOLD THIS AREA HAD BEEN EATEN BY CINCH BUGS. WHEN I CALLED TO QUESTION TURFMASTER ABOUT THIS THEY READ OFF MY CHART THE SPECIALIST HAD NOTED HE TREATED FOR CINCH BUGS. A COUPLE WEEKS LATER THE SERVICE MANAGER CAME OUT AND AFTER WALKING AROUND SAID THEY WOULD PUT PLUGS IN THIS AREA. THIS WAS TWO MONTH AGO. NOTHING HAS BEEN DONE AND MY PHONE CALLS ARE NOT BEING RETURNED, THOUGH MY REGULAR SCHEDULED TREATMENT WAS DONE AND AN INVOICE SENT.

 + -1 moreWhen I moved in to this house I had a very nice lawn. I decided that I did not have the knowledge and ability to maintain the lawn in that very nice state, so I expected this company to do a good job, as they said that they would. Well, they did not do a good job and my lawn has gone down hill. They did not do things that they said they would and did things that caused damage to my lawn. The fellow that did the application of chemicals did not do a proper job and in some cases lied about doing a treatment when in fact he did no such thing. Needless to say I have found a new company to CARE for my lawn. Disappointed in Deltona.
Description of Work: This company was to perform a service which would keep my lawn in good condition by application of bug spray fertilizer and weed control. This application was to be done every two months and the price seemed to be reasonable.

 + -1 moreI HAVE BEEN SATISFIED WITH THE WORK AS FAR AS IT HAS IMPROVED, BUT THEY ARE NOT AS RESPONSIVE AS I WOULD LIKE THEM TO BE. THEY HAVEN'T BEEN PUNCTUAL.
Description of Work: IT IS $90 FOR THE LAWN AND $30 FOR THE SHRUBS, BUT I HAVE AN ACRE LAWN. THEY FERTILIZE AND SPRAY AND DO EVERYTHING.

 + -1 moreMY YARD LOOKS BAD, AND I CALLED ONE TIME TO HAVE THEM COME CHECK OUT THE YARD, AND IT TOOK THEM A COUPLE OF WEEKS TO GET OUT HERE. I HAD TO CALL THREE TIMES TO GET THEM HERE, AND IT WAS PROBABLY CLOSE TO THREE WEEKS BEFORE THEY ACTUALLY SENT SOMEONE HERE. I WAS ACTUALLY GOING TO FIRE THEM, BUT I DECIDED TO GIVE THEM A SECOND CHANCE.
