Our Maronda Home is now 15 years old. The stucco is completely failing and falling off the side of our second story home. Insurance inspector said it was a failure on the craftsmanship of the builder. The builder said it was out of warranty and out of their control. Stucco is supposed to last 50 to 80 years. It barely made 15 from Maronda. All Maronda homes in my area have had stucco failure. There are homes that are over 25 years old next to ours and have no stucco problems. Then again they were not build by Maronda. This cheap job they did 15 years ago is going to cost me and my family. Maronda doesn't care about putting out a quality product. They just want yur money and fill their pockets. It's a shame. I'm a disabled combat wounded Veteran and purchased this house for my family when I got out if the Marines, I don't have the funds to fix Maronda's problems. What am I to do now? A house should last a lifetime not 15 years.

This was my first home-buying experience and we decided to build with Maronda as my parents built a home with Maronda years ago and had a great experience. Something has happened since then, however. The problem is that Maronda doesn't sell a completed home and they cover things up. Upon our first walk-through we noticed that the upstairs flooring was EXTREMELY squeaky (we are in a townhome and every unit has squeaky upper floors). We were told that every house squeaks (which is bullsh!t), that Maronda went above and beyond by adding extra braces, that the truss company said the squeaking would disappear after moving in heavy furniture, and that Maronda would do nothing more about the issue. Guess what? It hasn't gotten better in the two months that we have lived in our home. We finally decided to pull up the carpeting and found that several of the screws are screwed way into the subflooring (.5 to 1.0 inch too far) so that we can't even see the screw head. That means essentially nothing is holding down the subflooring to the trusses and Maronda had to have known that when they put down the carpet/tile. Beyond that, we have walls that are too long, holes in walls (one with a pipe sticking out past the wall), cracks in walls, missing AC grates/vents, exhaust fans that don't work, linen closet doors that are installed improperly, holes in the drywall of our garage, hot/cold water lines that are crossed, residue left on the tile floor from tape put down to walk around during construction, scratches on our cabinets, etc. and no one has come to fix anything although I was guaranteed it would be fixed quickly as it was all part of the original walk-through paperwork. We went through 3 representatives during the build, the super changed half-way through, it was a complete shock when we were told about closing because we were updated on NOTHING, and management was rude and incompetent. I wouldn't recommend Maronda to my worst enemy.

We hired Maronda to build our home in South Daytona. For the most part everything was going ok. definitely some delays but that was understandable due to covid. When time came for our final walk through before closing, we noticed that they installed completely wrong cabinets in the kitchen. We even paid $15,000 upgrade but got something completely different than what we paid for. In addition the paint job on them was all scratched up, some places had cracks in the wood. To be honest the craftsmanship looked like they hired someone from the street to do the job. Our project manager Jeremy assured us that that is no problem at will be taken care of. We just need to hurry up and close on the house so they dont loose their tax credit. So we ended up closing on 12/31/21 on the last day of 2021. Ofcourse once the transaction was funded we never heard from any cabinet shops to come and fix this mistake. After numerous attempts to put in a warranty work order to this day no one even reached out . been 4 months. We are actually considering spending even more money and hiring an attorney to go after them.

Highly not recommend, this builder is the ultimate worst. We signed contract for home to be built and 10 months later nothing happened at all they didn’t even clear the lot. The sales agent barely responded and kept feeding us lies that was never going to happen. We finally requested a refund and they gave it to us. It is so upsetting how much damage they have caused to our family, now the market is much higher and we will be spending a lot more money to buy with less square footage. I do not recommend using this builder.

THEY'RE NOT PERFECT IN WHAT THEY'RE DOING. THAT'S WHY I GAVE THEM A B. WHAT THEY COULD DO BETTER IS TO CHANGE SOME OF THE PLANS, LIKE PUTTING THE MASTER BEDROOMS IN DIFFERENT POSITIONS.

THERE WERE NO MAJOR PROBLEMS. OVERALL, IT WAS SATISFACTORY. FOR THE PRICES, IT'S WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT. YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR. IT'S NOT BAD. OVERALL, IT'S DECENTLY PRICED. FOR SOMETHING DECENTLY SIZED, IT'S AFFORDABLE AND DECENT.
Description of Work: THEY BUILT A HOUSE. THEY GOT THE MATERIALS, AND THEY BUILT THE HOUSE. OVERALL IT WAS ABOUT 2800 SQUARE FEET. IT WAS A FULL BEDROOM, 2 1/2 BATHROOMS, AND A TWO CAR GARAGE.
