KELLER OUTDOOR

Although a highly respected lawn maintenance company in WP, not so outside that area. We hired them to perform a higher level of service than we were getting with our previous lawn service which was pretty much a mow & blow operation. Keller is charging 3x as much as the previous company and has yet to live up to even their standards (which were merely adequate). They are mowing the grass too short; they are trimming the shurbs too tight and they don't pay attention to detail or how the work was previously performed and how we like it. They do virtually no weeding in the beds and, frankly, for $700 a month, I am not going out after them to do it. Nor do they take care of the weeds that grow up between the pavers. I have never had a service that didn't do this. One of their staff suggested that I should buy Round-up. More importantly when we signed the contract they insisted that we let our lawn fertilization company go so that theirs could "coordinate" the necessary services for our yard. I put "coordinate" in quotes because that is a misnomer. They never coordinated anything and after 2 months, I have weeds everywhere, dollar weed and sodweb worm (which I had never heard of). When they got the yard, it was in almost perfect condition. I am shocked at how fast our grounds have fallen into a state of negligence while at the same time having poured so much money into Keller. I would also like to note that they do NOT take responsibility for any damage they do such as breaking sprinkler heads or landscape lights. Unfortunately, Keller is just another mow & blow company with a good public relations firm. Save your money and get someone who really cares about making your yard look good and not just their bottomline.

This is a great company! The service is excellent and they can make great things happen with your landscaping needs. Wouldn't think of using anyone else!!

I asked a neighbor with a beautiful yard who she used for landscaping and maintenance, and she said Keller Outdoor. After checking them out on Angie's List, I noted the report card was about average but seeing their work made me want to call. I set up an appointment to meet the Owner at my house for landscaping and on-going maintenance. The day before, his office called to cancel, saying he was out of town, and we rescheduled for today. I took time off of work to ensure I was home in plenty of time for our meeting. Two hours prior, his office called. Not only did he cancel for today, but said they just got a new contract and therefore wouldn't be able to take any new customers after all. I understand and appreciate anyone getting new business, but two hours before an appointment -- and the second cancellation? Not good.

The other landscaper were nice, professional, and the cost was $3500.00 (Keller's estimate had been in excess of 12,000!)

They are consistent, on time, and usually respond to requests right away. The workers are always pleasant, and the owner is available to talk with if there is ever a problem (remember I have been using this company at home and my husband uses Keller at his office for over 3 years, and there has rarely been complaints).
