Great company, wonderful people. The company made a couple trips to double check well location met my standards, Orange County and Health department specifications and once all was double checked a date was set and work was completed. The equiptment was carefully placed, installed then inspected. The water was tested and after everything was complete I paid. Great doing business with Dick Joyce Wells, this family business has values and intefrity. They are honest, reliable,trustworthy, and professional. All really good people doing business the old fashion way; not merely about making money but the making the customer happy while keeping the company good name and reputation.

From the initial phone call for a price estimate, to the call back to fix a pressure gauge leak, it was an enlightening experience. There is a lot of work required to replace a submersible pump. The pump had to be pulled as I needed to replace a leaking galvanized tank and decided to go with a bladder tank. Evidently, the bladder tank needs a difference pump configuration than the galvanized tank which needs to have air pushed into the tank when the pump runs to pressurize the tank. The bladder tank already has air under pressure.

Arriving home Friday night, we found very low water pressure, and Saturday morning we had none at all. I consulted Angie's List and selected Dick Joyce Well Drilling based on the very favorable review. At 7 a.m. Saturday morning, I phoned the company and left a message with their answering service. A short time later, their serviceman, Ryan, phoned me. So that he could bring the proper size pump with him when he came from the shop, which was about an hour away, he asked me to identify the type and size of the well pump, which I did. He told me that there was a service fee for coming out to assess the problem. I told him that the charge was perfectly acceptable, considering the length of his drive (in a large truck) and the time he would spend traveling and identifying the problem. A couple of hours later, he arrived at our house, and began to troubleshoot the system. He identified the problem as being the pressure switch and also noted that the pressure gauge was bad. Fortunately, the more expensive pump was not the problem. He replaced the faulty parts, added air to the holding tank, and they system immediately worked better than it ever has. I understand that the company is a family business, and Ryan is a member of the family. I was really impressed with his knowledge about pumps and water systems and how he explained what he was doing. Even before he arrived at our house, he called me to tell me where he was (both going to pick up the parts and during his drive). I highly recommend this company and Angie's list for helping me find it. I will definitely use them again, if and when my water system once again needs attention. .

Would not come out for free estimate. Did not make much of an effort to come out and give an estimate. I would have used him if he wouldn't have charged for an estimate.

It went well. Very good same day service. Technician called in advance. He was knowledgeable and explained everything. Service call was $89 which was fine. The repair was more than I could afford at this time. The pump was over $900. The truck used to pull it up from the ground was $400. Plus new pipe. The well is only for irrigation. I may do it later, but it is doubtful. I will probably switch the irrigation to municipal water.

From the fast reply to my on line request to the serice call Dick Joyce Well Drilling was a real pleasure to work with. They potentially could have cost me a lot of money for repair work that was not needed but they were very honset and I would recommend them to anyone.

I called their office at 8am. I was totally without water. At 9am recieved a call from the technician saying he was on his way. At 10 am I had water agian. Great Job!!!

They were very professional. They are top notch. The gentleman who came was very knowledgable and shared a lot of information about what they were doing and how. We also used them to replaced the electrical system that pulls the water out of the well and many other jobs.

City water got too expensive so I got a deep well driller. They have been around forever and that’s who I ended up with. The truck driver impressed the heck out of me because he had to get it down my side yard and away from the septic system. They gave me a good price and did a great job. I was paying $700 a month with city water, but now I pay $11 a month.

The sprinkler system didn't come on, nor could I turn it on manually. I called Hessenauer Irrigation (they installed a new timer recently) and they recommended we first have Dick Joyce Well Drilling come out because it was probably the well pump. When Tim arrived, he first took some meter readings and determined that proper connectivity was there. Then he reset the trip button on the control box and immediately saw smoke coming from the control box. The box is 42 years old, and Tim offered to look for some replacement parts, but I asked if a new control box was feasible. It was, and he had one on his truck. He installed it and everything worked fine. We have a 3-zone sprinkler system, and Tim checked to see that each zone worked properly and that there was good pressure from the well pump. Tim is a no-nonsense guy who does a professional job.
