Representative who called was very pleasant and eventually gave a reasonable quote for the whole project. However, every deadline for giving us various prices was missed. Every time we were promised a quote on a specific day and each time it was at least a week late. If the company is that busy then more employees need to be taken on.

Workmanship was excellent. Customer service was not. Considering doing business with this company? Protect yourself. Don't sign the contract unless it specifies a delivery date. Read the contract – inquire about any areas left blank. It took 5+ months from the initial quote to the installation. Over 4 months from date the contract was signed and deposit cleared my bank until the actual installation. Install was rescheduled twice. In the end the vendor gave a small discount for my inconvenience but slipped in extra charges to offset the discount offered. No advance check by World of Windows for product size accuracy. Installer found error on-site, just prior to install. Be sure you have installer check finished opening size before they start tearing out your existing doors or windows! If permitting turnaround is used as an excuse for delay. Be aware that most permits are applied for by the company and issued the same day by the municipality where you live according to the City of St. Petersburg, FL. However, I recently learned that for jobs like doors, windows, storm shutters the process also involves advance submission, review and approval of schematic drawings to a City Planner which can take some time. Best to inquire about turnaround on this aspect of the job. Ask about the production process – are there middlemen or mfg. involved? This company uses both a mfg. AND a middleman "assembler" in Orlando. Ask if they use “jobber” crews. Get names of their crew members, if possible. Ask about the customer service side of the org. Do they keep the customer informed throughout the process? This company offered NO customer service updates by phone or email until install rescheduling became an issue at the tail end of the process. If using a single contractor, ask if there are multiple jobs being worked on at the same time and how yours will fit into the schedule. Put all company phone numbers in your phone so ID is in place and calls can be monitored. Protect yourself!

Replaced front and back windows in my apartment. They gave me a great package deal that included window shutters as well! I'm so glad I found them because they saved me so much compared to the pricing from Home Depot. Their service was top notch and they were so easy to work with. They were very professional from sales to installation. I'm very very satisfied and have already recommened to others.

Salesman was nice but once deposit was paid, date set to receive windows (6-8 weeks) could never get a hold of him. When it was 10 weeks I called and spoke with Jan, office person, who insisted I told her I would be out of town till the 29th of September and to hold off on the windows. I never told her that, but she argued and insisted just the same. Come to find out, a family member with same last name had ordered windows and was out of town so my paperwork was filed incorrectly. Their attitude was and quot;oh welland quot;, like it was a joke. I am having lots of work done and scheduling as best I can with information given by contractors so it caused an inconvenience. No kind of compensation was made to me, no effort to apologize. I felt the concern was not to make the customer happy. In fact, several family members have had windows installed in several homes and no discount of any kind offered. The windows arrived 11 weeks later, the installer was very good, no damage to anything. The door arrived on the 12th week and again the installer was very good. The owner came to my home and was willing to make sure everything was to my satisfaction and had the casing around the door re-done and ordered another window that had a scratch. It is all said and done now, happy with the windows and I guess things happen but they could improve customer relations.

Most window salesman are similar to car salesmen. They all have roughly the same product to offer, however the difference is in the price, and the customer service you receive. I priced our home out with 5 different vendors. While they were not the least expensive, we chose to order from them. I assume that most of these salesmen work on commission, and it shows. You call the store, and you can expect to only be offered to speak with your rep, that initially started with you. NO ONE else is interested in helping, or answering any questions with regards to your order, or anything for that matter. This was frustrating because when needing a price, it was not something that had a quick turn around. It was dependent on this one persons availability. This should have been my first warning sign. But, with enough pressure, I got the pricing and paid the deposit. It took some more pressure to get the paperwork I needed to submit to the city for permitting. One would think that this would all be supplied at the time of the payment for the deposit, since pretty much all windows need permitting of some kind anymore. I was told the ETA dates for each product, after numerous phone calls and texts for that information. Not one product has arrived at that time. Nor have I received a follow-up to tell me that my product hasn't arrived, or when to expect it. I called the store, and my rep is never there. Nor do they know when he will be in. No one but your rep can help you. I have asked the manager or the owner to call me, not sure which since I have been told that my concerns would be discussed with management, but later learned that there is only an owner. I called last week to ask what delivery would be for my product, and received a call back with ETA dates that I already had, and no delivery information. At this point you would think that I would receive a call about my delayed product, but nothing. I was told that I would hear from my Rep, as soon as it didn't show on the truck it was expected on. Well, that has yet to happen. I am glad that I am using my contractor for install. I would hate to give them more responsibility for my home. They can't even keep you informed on your product. I would not recommend them, and I will not be using them for the rest of my home. I am actually so happy that we made the decision to just order the three at this time, as didn't spend $$,$$$ with them for the whole house. Since this product is offered by so many other vendors, why would you chose to deal with such poor customer service.
Description of Work: We are replacing two larger windows and a large french gliding door to start in our home with World of Windows. We have approximately 19 windows left to replace in the home. We are using CWS and Neuma products, that I took the time to price with 5 other companies, but chose to order from WOW, product only. They were not the least expensive, but being that they were local to the home, and our contractor works with them, we chose this company.

Still waiting on my refund on one check they cashed and had to pay $36 dollars to cancel the other check. Dont do business with this company you will regret it. We dodged a bullet...read some of the reviews...bad news
Description of Work: The sales rep came to our twice, broke a window shade, ok just give a good price. Well my HOA asked for a design pattern picture. I asked the rep for it and after 3 weeks he had not proivded a start date after taking a deposit. They cashed one of my checks and then after 3 weeks still no design or start date. After not getting a design pattern for my HOA, a start date, or RESPONSE. I left the rep a voicemail and sent an email telling him to call me or email me a start date and design pattern. Remind you it has been 3 weeks now. I get an email from the rep with a new contract I would need to sign as he made an $230 error. STILL NO START DATE DESIGN FOR HOA.. Looks like a bait switch operation. THEN my wife and I start doing more research on Window World only find a major of their customers were no happy with the product or service. Do yourself a stay away from this company.

It went extremely well, it took a while for the windows to come in because they were customer. They were extraordinarily professional and clean cut, they were fast and efficient and very business like. They were really a pleasure to deal with. Bob, the owner came out to do final measurements and everything was perfect. The salesman Jim was very patient and knowledgeable they are very expensive and he answered all of my question. Everything went extremely well. I had a quote from another very highly rated provider but these guys did a great job for less money. The owner Bob will sell you anything you want but he will be straight forward and tell you what is best for you. Everyone in my family really loves the windows.

We paid 1/2 down on 12-11-13 and were told windows would be installed in about 5-7 weeks. At about middle of week 5 called and asked when windows would be installed and were told 1-27-14. On 1-25-14 we received a call that asked if they could start on the 26th and we said yes. The installer showed up on the 26th and installed 7 of the 14 windows. The Installer did a very good job, he is the same person who did the last 7 and even the city inspector remarked on how well the windows were installed. When the installer showed up he said the city permit would be delivered later that day. The permit DID NOT SHOW UP. I live in a 55 + community and the association also requires a permit which World of Windows knew about. I applied for the association permit in December and as this was the first permit I requested did not know it should have been delivered and posted before work started. Neighbors quickly informed me of my mistake. When I checked with the association I found that World of Windows had NOT supplied the proper information. When I called World of Windows about the missing information I also asked where the City permit was( this was on 2-27 14) and was told it was not ready yet. I told World of Windows that my windows could not be installed until the permits were issued. On 2-2-14 I called the City building department and asked where the permit was and found that World of Windows had not requested it until 1-30-14. I asked what recourse I had because World of Windows started without a permit and was told that the City usually doubles permit cost. That may be why World of Windows didn't care as part of our contract was that I paid for the permit. The work was finished on 2-7-14. The windows look good and I am happy with them but not with those at World of Windows who do the paperwork. With a lead time of 7 weeks the permit should have been requested long before work started and World of Windows should have checked with the association to make sure that permit was issued.

Everything went wonderfully. We had to do all our communications through fax, phone, email, and snail mail because we were out of state. The sales person Mike Szal was great though the process. When the windows were installed the installer was very friendly, courtious and thoughfull. He cleaned up after himself so well that you would not have known that construction had occured. The only Problem that occured was that one of the screens was damaged in shiping. the installer told me this right up front and said that her was going to let them know to order another one at no cost to us.

Excellent. I ordered them it did take a little longer than expected but since I ordered them during the height of the hurricane season I was not surprised. Once installation was scheduled the job took no time at all to complete. It was amazing to me that two men can remove and install everything in two days and do a great professional job. I am now trying them on replacing my mini blinds for Hunter Douglas Plantation Shutters. I'm sure that will go very well also, and will post that performance after installation is complete. I Highly recommend World of Windows for replacing your windows and doors.

Bob Royall the salesman was very through and detail oriented. Reviewed our choices carefully. Provided us with many options. The installers were employees of the company, not contracted. They were timely and completed the job early, despite rain. They were meticulous in the cleanup. We are awaiting city inspection.

My experience with World of Windows was great, from beginning to end. I received quotes from several companies and WOW's pricing was very competitive. There was no pressure to purchase from WOW at any time during my decision process. The salesman that I worked with, Jim, was very helpful and professional. He responded promptly to my initial request for a quote and was also very accommodating as I worked through a couple of changes to what I wanted. I really like the fact that the showroom is open on Saturdays, as I went there twice in the process of deciding exactly what I wanted. In both instances, the sales people were wonderful, going above and beyond my expectations to help me. The gentleman who came to measure the window openings at my home was prompt and professional, as was the man who did the lead testing. The windows were ordered and they arrived within the time frame I was given. The installer, another Jim, arrived on time and got right to work. He estimated the job would take 3 hours and he was finished in just under 3 hours. He was courteous and professional and his work was very neat and clean. The windows look fabulous and I am very pleased and impressed with how seamless the entire process with World of Windows was. I definitely plan to use them again, and I would recommend them to anyone who is planning to purchase windows.

price is good but make sure you get stucco/plaster patch included in quote we needed a lot of patching (the salesman said it is almost never needed and they don't include it in their prices). Jobs took twice as long as they told us as they didn't schedule a helper for the installer, which he needed for large heavy windows. Very difficult when you have to be home for them. Like another reviewer I did have to call them repeatedly for quotes, or to have questions answered. They do come back out and take care of any problems.

We originally looked at glassing/walling a screened patio as well. However, we wanted the patio windows and aluminum walls to be impact rated. Other contractors did not have impact rated walls. WoW spent a lot of time locating impact product and designing the room to be hurricane impact rated. However, in the end we did not do the patio due to other reasons – city codes, air conditioning, etc. We just had the house itself done. WoW was very helpful in picking out rated product that also would match the house interior and exterior. For example, for the living room we got windows with bronze exterior and white interior. It was very helpful that we could go to their nice showroom and see the real product. The quote was completive with the 4 other quotes that we received. I have certain requirements for final payments on jobs for me. Good contractors don’t have a problem with it and WoW was OK with it. The installation was timely. The installation was outstanding. We were amazed at the professionalism of the installers. A sliding glass door in a bathroom was tricky and involved cutting a lot of tile. The installers stopped by the store and got new tile cutting blades. The end result for that door and the entire installation was perfect. Not a single nit. The city inspection was a breeze. I know people who have used lower grade contractors for impact windows, some contractors are not even licensed. They have encountered the inability to get hurricane discounts on their insurance, poor quality work, etc. For such a big ticket item I wanted a high quality, very professional contractor. WoW exceeded our expectations.

Their bid was higher than what we ended up going with but the product was not nearly as good as what we went with. They actually told my husband that they would like to be the first people that gave the bid. The reason we inferred was, they could persuade people to accept their bid and not look any further because once you look further you're probably not going to choose them. The person that did the bid, his whole presentation was based on running down all of the competition. That was his level. They came out quickly but I don't think they were very flexible. We will not use their services again in the future.

They're great. Everything from their salesperson to the measurers to the installers to their people are really professional and a pleasure to work with. They are very accomodating, they respond quickly if you have issues or questions. They are very, very good.
Description of Work: They are replacing all of the sliding glass doors in the back of the house with 150 mph impact glass so its double paned. All of those doors are in and they are also doing the windows. It was quite an undertaking, it takes about a day per window. It was a four day project for them to put 3 sets of sliders in.

I called this company to replace a window in my home that is moldy between the panes. I found a document from World of Windows that the previous home owner put in with the paperwork she gave us. (I recently purchased the home.) The windows in the home are newer so I assumed World of Windows did the work. I called the number on the document, which was disconnected (an 813 area code). After looking on Angie's List, I found that there was a store in St Pete, so I called them. I spoke with Jan and emailed her the paperwork. I had to call her back, and she told me they couldn't find a record of the work. I told her that regardless, I would like someone to come and look at the window for possible replacement, which I would happily pay for. After a few more promises to get back to me and no further calls from World of Windows (I called them back at least once, if not twice), I gave up. I will not be using World of Windows. If they can't even respond to a phone call, what kind of service can I possibly expect?

Sales guy came out very prompt and courteous. He showed us the options available we picked one paid 1/2 and was told it would be about 10 weeks. About 9 weeks later we were called, out sliders were in. We set up an install date. 3-4 guys came out and removed the old doors and brought in the new doors. One guy stayed and did the whole installation himself. He was here the entire day and did a great job. we were very pleased from start to finish.

Description of Work: Estimate only, but Phil was wonderful to work with. He went above and beyond to find product that would meet our needs and fit our budget. I only went with another contractor because he found a more energy efficient product with a better warranty for close to the same price and offered more financing options. If the budget had been larger and I could have paid up front, I would not have hesitated to purchase from this company.

They have been VERY unresponsive and unprofessional to deal with, regardless of their promise that ''they are not like the big box stores -- they provide excellent customer service''. HA! Lowe's gave me a quote within 3 days. I have called this company at least 6 times asking where the estimate is, and I keep getting the run around -- ''Oh, you didn't get it? I must have faxed it to the wrong number.'' ''Oh, I left it at my home, I'll get it to you tomorrow.'' One excuse after another for WEEKS, with no results! And this is when I am trying to buy $20,000 worth of windows! I can't imagine what the service after the sale would be like. God forbid there is a real problem. Good luck to you if you use this company.
Description of Work: After providing a written schedule of windows, I have waited over 6 weeks for an estimate for wood (Anderson) and vinyl (Simonton) windows. After many phone calls during the first 3 weeks I finally got half of the estimate for the Anderson windows. Then more calls resulted in the other half. The estimates contained numerous errors including sizes and quantities. I also wanted the 200 (value) series windows, but was told they weren't available, even though both the catalog and Anderson corporate (via phone call) said they were available. I visited the store to explain their errors and to make a few changes, and provided complete written and verbal instructions as to their errors and my desired changes. It is now 3 to 4 weeks later and I still have not heard from them for a revised (corrected) estimate. I never did receive any estimate at all for the Simonton windows.
