Time Insulation

Duke Energy gave us $200.00 toward the cost and two service guys showed up. They were very efficient and friendly. They did the job in the time they said it would take, and I am very satisfied.

Truck arrived within estimated time window. Insulation R value increased from R-16 to R-30. Took about 90 minutes and crew cleaned up any spillage after. Very knowledgeable and professional. Cost is after TECO rebate which saved over 50%.

They did a great job. Very open w/communication and helped me understand a better interior option.

TECO Energy Audit done after installation of new air conditioner. Contacted Time Insulation for installation of additional insulation recommended by TECO. This company was on list of approved contractors by TECO. Did also check-out 2 additional contractors approved by TECO. Time Insulation relies solely in TECO assessment; do not do their own assessment. This seems to be standard practice as the other 2 contractors said the same. Time Insulation (spoke with Kim) explained their product and services. These synched comparatively with the 2 other companies. Time price was a little higher but not exorbitantly so. Work scheduled for 3 wks later (their first availability). Other companies also had about the same time frame to schedule work. Installers (The 2 Andrews) were there at scheduled time (within 2 hrs time frame given) and completed work within reasonable time and left no mess. Installers were professional and informative. Monies paid was only the difference between Time price and what TECO would pay. TECO Insulation Certificate was given to installers at time of service along with check. Company accepts payment by check (can be given to installer at time or service) or you can call the office at time of insulation to pay by credit card (installer does not handle that).

From scheduling to finish line, this company is the best! Prompt, professional, clean, honest -- they walk the walk when it comes to customer service. First-rate workmanship plus the product warranty makes for happy customers, especially with years of energy savings to come. If only everyone operated by Time Insulation's standards of excellence!

Team of two arrived on time and got right at the task and did a little extra on certain spots that were low, but not on the proposal garage was fairly clean after, but they could have swept uo some. Took extra care while in attic because of h20 pipes through out.

Installers were over 30 min late and didn't call or apologize. Other than that they did a great job and were professional one thing Time Insulation, LLC should include is explaining to the customer the smell and dust for the next few days.

Time Insulation provides exceptional customer service from the very first call with the receptionist to the Estimator and finally to the work crews. Everyone is friendly, professional, and extremely helpful. There was absolutely no mess or fuss. I highly recommend Time Insulation and their services.

Hiring Time Insulation for my insulation needs was the single WORST experience I have ever had when it comes to home repairs/maintenance. This is going to be detailed review of the 7 - SEVEN!- times they had to come out to my house for repairs because of damages they caused while performing work. I called and received a quote for getting some insulation blown into my attic. Their price (out of the 11 places I called) was one of the better prices and I ended up selecting them above another company because of their A rating on Angie's List. I can only hope that my review can save someone else the time and misery that they put me through. I set up my appointment and they gave me a "time window" of when I could expect them. I ended up calling to find out if they were coming because they were 20 minutes late outside of their "appointment window." The technicians that came out the first time were not professional at all. They did not lay down any kind of plastic or protective sheeting. The attic entrance for our house is located in the walk in closet. I had removed all of the clothes hanging in there and I had personally laid down a drop cloth over the clothes that were left in the closet. The technicians performed their task (I did not hover while they were up there - I definitely learned my lesson this time), I paid them and they left. After they left, I walked upstairs and there was insulation all over the floor, it was a mess, and one of the closet shelves was broken (it looked like they had stepped on the shelf to get into or out of the attic and it had snapped the metal). I was not pleased with their work but I figured - I would just fix the shelf, clean up the mess and just not recommend them to anyone in the future. Well 2 days later I started to notice water damage on the ceilings on BOTH floors of my 2-story home. I couldn't figure out what in the world was causing this damage until I realized it was directly below the AC handler in my attic. I climbed into the attic to realize that the Insulation technician had broken the condensation line to my AC Unit in my attic. Water had been leaking down into my home for TWO DAYS! I called Time Insulation (upset) and the first person I spoke to was EXTREMELY rude and unsympathetic. By the time I was done talking to him I was in tears. I asked him to please have his manager call me back as soon as she was in the office. No one contacted me for 2 hours so I called back to find out the manager was in. Meanwhile, I'm sitting in my house with no AC and water leaking down the walls. She tells me she is working on getting an AC technician to come out to fix the broken line. Long story short he comes out to fix the line later that day. But I am still left with all of the water damage in my home. No one at time insulation ever seemed determined or motivated to get my problems resolved in a timely manner during my entire experience with them. I CONSTANTLY had to call them to check in with the progress of getting the repairs moving and to schedule and ask questions as to how these repairs would get done. The owner of the company came out to my house to "assess the damage" and while he was there he assured me that by the time their repair man came out to my house it would look like nothing had ever happened. The repairs would be "seamless." He tried to downplay the damages and had nothing to say/changed the subject when I mentioned how upset I was with the customer service I received. The next day another crew came out to my house to remove the soggy/wet insulation in my attic. This crew laid down protective plastic and seemed friendly enough. I monitored their work closely as they removed the wet insulation from the attic. While they were up there, they pulled a platform up that was secured up there in front of the AC unit so they could remove the insulation from under it. I understand this was necessary, but when the other technicians came out to replace the wet insulation, they had NO IDEA how to put the board back into the attic as it was before and told me he should have never pulled it up in the first place. I, myself, ended up having to remove the nails from the board so that they could just set the board back up there (not secured). The repair man they employed to do the repairs came to my house 2 days in a row to perform repairs on the ceiling and drywall (which was sagging). I was not pleased with the work he did. The work was sloppy and when he finished, it was very noticeable that patches were done. He was not able to match the texture on my ceiling and then told me that I would need to have the entire ceiling texture redone if I wanted it to look uniform. There were trowel marks and gouges left where he applied joint compound to the drywall patches (See picture). He also used a very wet sponge to clean the floors (which are wood laminate) and left a puddle of water there which seeped between the boards and caused the floor to swell and create further damage when vacuuming (see pictures). When I told him that I was not pleased with the quality of the work he basically said that it was the best he could do and didn’t offer any additional help. The shelf that the repair man “fixed” fell off the wall 2 weeks later. He didn’t replace the supports that were pulled out of the wall when it was broken, and it collapsed and I ended up repairing it MYSELF. He also took a chunk of my wall out for a paint sample and did a terrible job patching it (see picture). When the crew came back out to put the insulation back in my attic, they broke ANOTHER different shelf in my closet. They insured that they would have someone come out to fix it (and I spoke to the manager in the office) and no one ever contacted me to have the repairs done. At this point, I figured I would just do the repairs myself since they would probably just cause more damage to my home. All in all, this experience was a NIGHTMARE! Thankfully I work at home and could be here for their plethora of visits, but I can’t image how many days I would have had to take off work to accommodate their “time windows” and endless visits. PLEASE DON’T HIRE THIS COMPANY. They are truly awful.

Great. Showed up within 2-hour window, were willing to wait a few minutes as I had to drive to pick up my child, and did the job efficiently.

Andrew explained the procedure took best option for us and completed job as explained.

They called ahead to remind us of the appointment the day before. The next day they arrived on time, were polite & cleaned up after themselves.

The removal and installation teams arrived on time and were polite and did their jobs very efficiently.

They were only 30 min late, was reasonably priced; did a good job, very professional.

Estimator came out and gave thorough explanation of the work to be done. We were able to book the date we wanted for installation. The crew was prompt and seems to have done good work. All staff were very courteous. The only negative was, even though they cleaned up, there was still a lot of pieces and fine dust left.

Terrible-very rude-stand off due to lack of information on tech's part.

Both workers were polite & explained all work that was done.
