Time Insulation

They came in and blew in this insulation which was messy, but not on their part. They cleaned everything up when they left and you couldn't even tell that they had been here. They explained to me that there was going to be a slight smell in my house, but it wasn't horrible. They were very professional and their salesman came here first and then the team came and they did their thing. With this stuff rodents are not supposed to nest in it, but six months later we had a rodent problem and they came back out and checked and we had a hole in the soffit. We got it fixed and replaced and they came back and blew more insulation where the rodents had been, so they stick by their warranty. I have referred them to family and friends. Their price was great and the quality was fine.

My appointment called for them to arrive between 10:00 and 12 am. Much to my surprise they actually showed up about 3 minutes early. The 2 man crew were neat, courteous and professional. They first checked the inside ceilings for a signs of existing damage and then went right to work and finished the entire 2100 sf in just under one hour. I can truthfully say that I would use them again at any point that I can.

They came and left a mess. I would never use them again. They did a very poor job. My electric bill never changed after using them.

I received an energy audit from TECO and after doing some research on the internet about insulation and questions to ask the installers I called every one of the Installation installers on the list. I asked questions about cellulose vs fiberglass and if they install both, why they recommend one over the other, etc. Different companies did better than others and many were eliminated based on answers. Time and a handful of others gave quality answers that didn't conflict with manufacturer warranty information and other similar things. Of those that remained, Time's price was the best. My attic is particularly tight so in addition to the phone quote I asked someone to come out and give a quote in person so that there wouldn't be any surprises. Additionally my second floor room has interior walls exposed to attic space, so I wanted to insulate that part that gets exposed to the heated attic air. The person that did the quote was knowledgeable and gave me line item info in case I decided not to go with the additional information. He also provided two separate quotes, one for the minimum that TECO recommended and one for an amount more that I requested. I was also interested in R36 since it seems to be commonly reffered to in much literature and asked him about that. He recommended that they would be happy to do the install of R36 but based on my house, I wouldn't likely see much difference between R30 and R36 and he recommended that I do R30. Putting the customer's needs and value over a few extra dollars counts for a lot in my book. Especially from a sales person. The day of the work went very quickly and smoothly. They answered all my questions after the install and provided the manufacturer warranty information. They used less batting insulation than was expected because one wall was not exposed to the attic and so they lowered the quote an appropriate amount. TECO came back out to reinspect and said that it looked great. Overall, I don't think it could have gone any better and would recommend them to anyone.

Time Insulation is one of Progress Energy's authorized installers which qualified us for a $100 rebate from Progress Energy. I filled out the Progress Energy Audit on-line but the Time salesman was able to save us some money by doing an actual square footage measurement as opposed to the one that PE got from the Assessor's data. This was one of the best contracting experiences I have had including the office staff, the salesman and the installers. All were first rate professionals.

I contacted Time Insulation to inquire about having insulation blow in to a flat roof area between some rafters that was previously uninsulated. The area was only about 80sqft and since they have a minimum charge of $150 I told them that would be fine I would buy $150 worth and have the rest blown into my attic where some of the insulation is low. When the installation crew arrived they told me they were only going to do the 80sqft since that's all they had to do and refused to do anything beyond that even though I was paying for more than double that amount of insulation. After beginning they hooked up the hose wrong and filled my side yard with insulation. I guess I know why they asked for the check before they started, after they were "finished" they raced off without saying anything leaving a huge mess of insulation in my side yard as well as all over the floor in the room they installed the installation from. Both members of the crew were very rude and unprofessional.

They gave us the best price. They had a man come out to our and do an inspection. They were very good at keeping to the price. According to the man that fixed our duct work, it looked like they put down quite a bit of insulation. They were prompt and very courteous. They explained the different types of insulation and the benefits of each. They were very considerate.

Called them. Very professional. Arrived early! Worked well. Cleaned up well.

Prompt response and good, thorough job. Received an additional $100 discount from TECO. My inspection of the work showed they did a good job and thoroughly covered all the attic with more a bit insulation than the R-11 ordered.

Time Insulation sales rep came first to check out my attic insulation situation. He was exactly on time at 9am and he was very professional. He inspected the attic and gave his opinion that it needed additional insulation to bring it to the R-30 level that I wanted it to be. He said I could call the office to setup the appt or he could call and I let him call to set it up. Two days later, the installers were here, the office had called 20 mins before as I had requested and the guys installed more than enough insulation, they were great. They were careful of my home, furnishings, carpeting and cleaned up when they were leaving.

I priced around and got three estimates and they were by far the best estimate and the price was phenomenal. I noticed immediately the house was cooler.

They came an hour early and finished quickly. I was very pleased with their work and attitude.

When I called to get an estimate, they did explain that there was a $150 min charge to do the work, & that cost was based on sq footage to be completed, which is normal for the industry. They asked for my location & when I told them, they said that a tech lived in my area, & would come by that afternoon. When he arrived, he recommended the Fiberglas instead of the cellulose because we had existing Fiberglas & that it wasn't good to mix the two. We knew that the converted room needed the insulation because there was none there, but he did recommend the bathrooms because it had been trampled a little when getting into the attic for various reasons. He didn't try to get us to do the whole attic. He quoted $150 including material & labor. When the guys came to do the work, it took them longer to get set up (unrolling the hose & putting the insulation into the machine) than it did to perform the work. They were finished in a flash & were very neat in cleaning up. I would recommend them.
