Sunscape Lawn Service was very hard to work with. Initially, when the service started they were fine, but as time went by their service became less and less satisfactory. We asked them to trim some hedges and trees and it took them approximately 2 months to complete the job after numerous calls to the owner of the company. When it rained on certain weeks they would not cut our grass later in the week. The owner said, "we just do not work that way". The owner said you have to wait until the next week. He told me on the phone the price was going up from $100 per month to $150 per month starting July, 2014, but I never received a bill stating this. I told him that $150 per month was too much, and I told the owner that we no longer wanted to keep their lawn service. Our last month of lawn service was supposed to be July, 2014. He told me over the phone in June, 2014, he would not charge me $150 for the month of July, 2014, but when I spoke to him again in July, 2014, the owner changed his mind and spoke with me in an unprofessional threatening tone of voice. He insisted that I pay him $150 for the month of July, 2014, even after missing one week of lawn maintenance, and telling me in June, 2014, that he would not charge me $150 for July, 2014. I told the owner I would pay him $100 for the month of July, 2014, and he said no,and got very defensive and stated he would put a lien on my house if I did not pay him $150. Then, he hung the phone up. He would not accept $100 in payment for the limited work his company did in July, 2014. I would not recommend this company. They may start out fine, but later on you will not be happy. I have never had a lawn service treat us like this before.

Excellent service. I called Jeff (the owner) regarding a drainage issues I had outside my back porch. Jeff scheduled a day to check the issue and made some recommendations, and I decided to have the drainage system installed. I had called several companies and had 2 companies that wanted to install drains in my porch, and to me that could have caused a flood in my porch/house if the drainage system would have backed up. Several companies I had called did not f/u and call me back. One company came out and tested with a hose to see if water was getting in the porch and said well it may never happen that I get water in my house, and one company would not come out unless I took pictures of the issues when it rained. It was quite the experience. Jeff was the only one that made any sense when it came to drainage, and offered other options but I felt this was the best option . I had so many questions and each time I called Jeff he responded immediately to emails and calls. He is very professional. Stands by his work 100 percent and very confident in his work. Jeff and his crew came out on a Saturday to complete the work. Since they usually don't work on weekends, Jeff wanted to ensure I did not have to wait to long to get the work completed and made the effort to get his crew together on a weekend and was able to get the work done at a reasonable and timely manner. This is a company that knows how to treat customers. Their work is excellent, they f/u when I had one issue the following day. Its so hard to find professional companies, especially in the lawn business. I would highly recommend this company for any drainage issues in your yard, lawn/landscaping work. Jeff deserves a medal just for his professionalism alone. I can't say enough of how exceptional this company is. I was surprised there were no other reviews on Angie's list for this company and hope others take the time to write a review . Thank you Jeff for all your professionalism during this process and making feel at ease . You and your crew are great to work with and I will definitely be using you in the future.
