I called the provider at 9:30 A.M explaining the problem with a refrigerator in a rental unit. The provider said he would be there at 11:30 A.M. after completing another job. The provider was early and immediately went to work. The provider explained to me every thing he was doing and why. He took apart the freezer unit, cleared all the ice and debris, cleared the drain line and put it all back together again. He explained refrigerator settings, how to prevent future problems and gave me all manners of future contact if any problems arose. As I own several units, I am completely thrilled with this providers professionalism, his timeliness, his level of expertise and will now make him my go to appliance person. I could not be more thrilled.

It went great. I'll feel better when I buy a new Stackable W/D and haven't found one yet (will only buy used). I'm very appreciative of this guy's honesty.

I called on a Saturday and asked for a Monday appt. No problem, and on Monday morning Terry called to confirm. He arrived right on time and thought he knew what the problem was, but he had to check. Sure enough he was right, at some point the refrigerator door had been left open and ice built up. And the fan stopped working because of the ice build up. So he cleaned the ice out and everything worked fine. He charged a very small service fee and cleaned up the area well. I would highly recommend him as an honest businessman and very friendly as well. And I wouldn't hesitate to call him again.

Wow!!! I just called St Pete Appliance Repair and the owner answered the phone - and it's Sunday night! I asked for an appointment for tomorrow morning and explained that I was panicked b/c we were leaving to go out of town on Tuesday morning. He walked me thru two tricks to see if I could get the washer functioning again and they worked!!! A repair man who tells me what to do with no visit and no fee? That's unheard of! I will only use St Pete Appliance from now on!

They could have just quoted me a price for a service call, and taken my money. They suggested that I try the new detergent instead, and then use a service call as a last resort.

It went ok, very nice guy, knowledgable but talked a lot while have the fridge door open!!!!!!! Again though, he was very knowledgable!!!!!

Terry is the best, very knowledgeable, reasonably price, honest and always on time.

I called many other Angie's List recommendations and got voice mail, one company called me back and put ME on hold. If Angie's List itself was as good as St. Pete Appliance I wouldn't be just a one year subscriber.

He's come out twice. Both times he has been very honest about only fixing what is wrong, and giving you the rock bottom price. He's only interested in helping the consumer. That is his bottom line. you feel like he is family member when he comes because is just so sweet!

I called Terry around 10am on Wednesday. I explained that my water dispenser on my fridge was not working. He asked for my address and said he would be there around 3pm. He showed up at 3:30 which was fine with me as you can never really tell what's going to happen at his prior appointments. He had everything fixed within 20 minutes. He was very kind and answered all my questions. Made my wife happy, so I'm happy.

They were very good. I had no complaints about them. It ended up that he did not have to really do much. He apologized for that charged me the minimum only. He did a good job. I rate him high overall, and I will use him in the future.

They were on time and very thorough and even came back to my home when I had a question.

Dishwasher making grinding noise and broil element in electric range not working. After reviewing previous reports on this company, I called and scheduled to have the owner (Terry) come out and check out both appliances. After a thoroughly checking out the dishwasher, it was determined the motor had to be replaced. He checked the eletric range by first examining the element itself, which turned out to be okay. After checking further, he thought the problem was a burnt fuse. The owner returned with a replacement fuse and motor for the dishwasher. After replacing the fuse in the electric range, the broil element still didn't work. The owner then told me it appears that half of the electronic circuit board had gone bad, which required the board to be replaced. He told me the boards were on back order and once the board came in he would return and replace the circuit board on the range. I was told the only cost would be for the circuit board itself and there would be no additional labor charge. On December 23, 2010 after he replaced the motor on the diswasher, he asked if I would pay for the motor and one time labor rate which totaled $214.00. The owner told me that once the cirucit board for the electric range came in, he would come back out and replace the board with no additional labor charge. The only cost would be for the replacement circuit board. I paid the $214.00 as requested. After the holidays, I had not heard back from the owner, so I called him to inquire the status of the replacement circuit board. I was told he hadn't heard anything yet, but would contact me when the circuit board comes in. After a couple of more weeks of not hearing anything, I again contacted the owner about the circuit board, and he told me he was going to check on it right now. Well to date (2/7/2011) this is the last time I've heard from this guy. I made the mistake of paying this guy before the entire job was completed. Now I have to have someone else come out and repair my electric range. I will NEVER contact St. Pete Appliance, LLC again and NEVER recommend this company to anyone. So, beware fellow Angie's List members. 4/26/2011 UPDATE: Today I read the company response dated April 19, 2011. This man is not being truthful when claiming he informed us about his mother's declining health issues. Of course, we understand and fully agree his mother is more important than our range, but this guy never told us about the situation. If he had, we would never have filed such a negative report. THE LAST CONTACT WE HAD WITH HIM WAS BY PHONE ABOUT THE STATUS OF OBTAINING THE REQUIRED PART FOR OUR RANGE, AND HE TOLD US HE WOULD CHECK ON IT IMMEDIATELY. THAT'S THE LAST WE HEARD FROM THIS GUY, WHICH PROMPTED US TO FILE THIS REPORT. So, we stand by our negative feedback on this guy. Because of his dishonesty, we will definitely NEVER call upon him again.

I called St Pete Appliance and spoke with Terry about the situation with our appliances. He gave me an opinion but cautioned that he would have to see the machines to give us a specific quote. We made an appointment for him to come the next Friday. He did not show up, nor did he ever call us. We have since made an appointment with another company. This is the first time an Angie's List provider has ever failed us.

Came home at 5:15pm to a flooded kitchen due to freezer thawing. Called St. Pete Appliance LLC at approx. 5:40pm. About 30 minutes later, Terry (owner) arrived and immediately assessed and began repair of defective parts. In under 2 hours from the time the call for help went out until Terry left our home. Now that's what I call service. Terry was professional, friendly, very reasonably priced and did a very good job even cleaning up much of the mess that was created by the failed parts he replaced. We would not hesitate calling on St. Pete Appliance again should the need arise. Our refridgerator is working just fine as of this writing two weeks after date of service. A+ rating from us for this call.

He never called or came to do the work.

He was very efficient and did a great job.

My husband watched Terry work. Initially he was stumped by what was causing the problem since all the necessary machinery was operable. He would not give up and finally determined the problem was a simple screw that was preventing the proper spin. I did not check my husband's pockets closely and a screw that was left in his pocket was the culprit. Terry was punctual, cooperative, social, and determined. We have referred him to friends that were also quite pleased with his work. Will definitely use him again.

Called Terry after 6pm to schedule for the next day. He insisted on coming out immediately. He quickly found the problem and repaired iit. Excellent service.
