 + -1 moreWas having intermittent problems with a Win XP x64 system I had built in 2009. It finally refused to boot up and a friend looked them up on her computer. I was unhappy with who I had been using for past 10 years. I was totally amazed at how good these guys are. I have been in computers for 21 years and was beginning to feel the run of the mill repair guy didn't know any more then me. THESE GUYS ARE SHARP!! They got me a rare deal on a new system and imported some of my crucial data from the bad hard drive - HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

 + -1 morePC was freezing randomly, sometimes wouldn't even boot at all. Scott originally thought it might be due to overheating, but that wasn't the case. Finally found a problem with memory and replaced it. Took a couple of days, overall pretty happy with the experience.

Brought it in. he diagnosed the problem, estimated the coat, and gave me a completion date for the following Monday. He called me that Monday and said it was done and said I could pick it. The price quoted was the price I paid.

Description of Work: I recently had an issue with the display screen on my laptop and brought it to Scott at Reliable to see if it could be repaired. Scott spent a good deal of time with me, diagnosed the problem, then gave me some (3) options as to what could be done to replace the screen, However, he advised that, given the age of the laptop, that it would be probably wiser to simply retire it and buy a new one. His charge for the diagnosis and for the suggested options: $0:00. I tried to give him something for the effort, but he politely refused it. I was impressed by his knowledge and his generosity in spending the time he did with me to look at my computer. His business card is now in my rolodex and if I ever have another issue, I'm going straight back to him. I highly recommend his services to anyone who needs any type of computer servicing.

 + -1 moreScott determined that the laptop was overheating. Cleaned it and got it running again. He gave an estimate but suggested a new computer might be better. He suggested I purchase a cooling pad, which I did and the computer has been working well ever since. I am very satisfied with the services and would go back in the future. Scott did not charge me for service.

 + -1 moreScott was very professional. Though he wasn't able to fix it, he didn't charge us to look at it, and he didn't make it worse. According to the person I talked to at Sony, that is the sign of a true professional. Most of the time when they get an out-of-warranty repair, it's something that's been mangled by a repair tech. who doesn't know his limitations. I would absolutely recommend Scott to anyone who needs computer services.
Description of Work: The hard disk in our Sony Vaio laptop died and we were looking to get a new hard disk installed. We brought it in for an estimate. After looking it over, Scott determined that he could not safely open the case and said we should send it to Sony for service.
